Heads up! The Garmin Enduro 3 is down to $829, some $70 off. That’s the lowest price to date on this new device. The Enduro 3 is notable though because it’s basically a Fenix 8 Solar minus the dive/voice features (and the Fenix 8 Solar/MIP starts at $1,099). Everything else is there, and it gets all Fenix 8 software features (and, insane battery life). Meanwhile, the Fenix 7 down to $429! Or Epix at $429. There’s a bunch more sports tech deals listed here too!

My Photography Gear: The Cameras/Drones/Action Cams I Use Daily

So in efforts to combat the amount of emails I need to sort through on a daily basis, I’ve complied this “My Photography Gear” post for your curious minds (including drones & action cams!)! Looks like a great family outing, thanks for sharing.
Merry Christmas DCR and Family. :-)
Ray, can’t you just use a tow rope between the two bikes? -Marc
Ray, your dedication to maintaining the Christmas-tree-by-bike tradition is nothing short of legendary! I mean, most people struggle to keep their holiday spirit intact after unpacking boxes, let alone hauling a *girthy* Christmas tree (yes, I chuckled) up 17% inclines with three kids onboard.
The mental image of your family parachuting out of the cargo bike like a well-oiled cartoon operation is priceless. And let’s be honest, the Dutch windmill photo-stop was obligatory. Respect.
Here’s hoping you conquer that free hub issue soon—your Urban Arrow deserves the hill-climbing glory it was born for. Until then, keep cyclocrossing your way to festive victory. Who needs Santa’s sleigh when you’ve got a bike and boundless determination?”
Given the hub makes up most of the cost, rather than the hassle of respoking the wheel just get a new one with the upgraded hub.
Shouldn’t cost too much more?
I’ve had a local bike shop re-spoke several of my wheels (with five bikes in the garage). It is surprisingly inexpensive. I do all of the rest of my bike maintenance, but don’t trust myself when it comes to wheel building.
That was super sweet.
Get the girls a jingle bell rope to help pull you up, like reindeer
Fun video thanks for sharing! And way to keep the tradition alive. Merry Christmas
I’ve been wanting to ask how your cycling lifestyle has changed compared to Amsterdam. It seems it hasn’t much at all!
Merry Christmas to all of you!
I think riding a bike at Mallorca is more challenging/dangerous as riding a bike in Amsterdam/Netherlands and Germany because of missing/not available bikeways. They have some, but not many.
Merry Xmas 🎅🏼🎄and a happy new year 🎈🎊🎆
I always love the X-mas tree post. It’s become a X-mass tradition right up there with “It’s a Wonderful Life,” “The Grinch that Stole Christmas,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” “Amahl and the Night Visitors,”…
Last year I picked a tree so big that we had to borrow a friend’s SUV to get it home. And then we had a hard time getting it out of our apartment so this year the one requirement I had for a tree was one that is shorter than me. And I’m only 5’2”! We went to the Christmas tree lot and I picked the tree I wanted and told the employees there that they had to cut it down until it was shorter than me. They were very amused but cut it and held it up to me to make sure it was the right size. And it fit perfectly in the back seat is my car.
After more than a decade, we’re giving up on the “real” Christmas tree next year. There is just too much stress involved in ensuring it stays up as the stands we have can never hold it up vertical. We therefore have tears and stress while we work through the mechanics of tying it up to avoid a Christmas disaster. Ray, what’s your secret?
Also, and more importantly, Merry Christmas (belatedly) to the Maker family. Thanks for keeping me entertained this year, a year in which I didn’t buy any sports tech 🤣
You might follow a different Dutch Christmas tradition: Avoid any stress by simply going skiing over the holidays.
Ahh…I can tell you don’t have 3 young kids. 😂
There’s arguably no more stressful vacation one can take than going skiing with three littles.
Lovely post! Do you know that Youtube enabled auto-dubbing of that video? It sounds super robotic in my mother tongue
Interesting, I’ve been trying to find a video that it’s actually enabled on!
