Can’t wait to see your review on the Wahoo scale. My old Bed Bath & Beyond scale is dying and I’m going to replace it. Either the new Wahoo or the old (aren’t they going to update that someday??) Withings, depending on your review. Any idea when your Wahoo review might be published?

Hmm, I’m not quite sure on when to be honest. I’m hoping early January, but I’m also realistic that after Sunday I’m only at home for three days until the last week of January. Making that tough (especially since I can’t easily take a pile of scales with me).
At the moment, it’s a good scale, but it seems kinda bare-bones compared to the FitBit and Withings scales, as far as both the app – but also the partnerships. Additionally, the WS-30 (latest Withings Scale) does BOTH WiFi as well as Bluetooth Smart. Whereas the Wahoo scale only does WiFi.

It’s been more than 2 years since your last comment in this thread. In terms of accuracy, how does the Wahoo Balance Bluetooth Smartphone Scale compare to Withings’ latest scales? I know the Wahoo scale doesn’t have wifi, but it’s quite a bit cheaper than even Withing’s entry level WS-30. I’m not sure if the lack of wifi is even an issue considering that my phone have BT4.0.
Honestly, I can’t see any scenario at this point that would have me buying the Wahoo Scale over the Fitbit or Withings scales.
Oh? Why do you say that? What does Withings have that would make you pay more for a better scale?
Features and functionality, primarily. The Wahoo Scale really only works with the Wahoo app, and only barely uploads to 3rd party apps. Whereas Withings and Fitbit integrate with everything and ‘just work’.
