One of the biggest rules on the site is that I don’t have partnerships/advertising relations/etc with companies that I’d review. Period. However, there are tons of great companies in the sports & fitness space that do amazing things and are logical partners to support my efforts here. These are companies that I have zero intention of reviewing; their products fall outside the scope of things I review. Still, I use their products on a daily basis, often having bought them long before they became a partner.
Here’s a single go-to list, in alphabetical order, of all of my current partnerships. You’ll see these companies/products sprinkled throughout posts/videos, as I actually use these products day to day. Huge thanks to these awesome companies for supporting what I do here, which in turn allows me to remain neutral when it comes to the work that I do in reviewing other companies and their products.
Canyon:
Canyon bikes have been found in the DC Rainmaker lair since 2017, when I purchased my first Canyon road bike frame to build up. I’m a fan of the company as they have bikes for all aspects of our cycling-forward lifestyle. Our household is fully kitted out in Canyon bikes, boasting everything from triathlon, road, gravel, MTB, and our newest Canyon edition, their urban e-bikes!
Also, as a father of three daughters, I give Canyon huge props for their investment in the future of women’s cycling. Arguably, they are one of the biggest and most recognized women’s bike teams on the Pro Cycling World Tour.
Ciovita:
We started working with Ciovita in early 2024 and love the quality of their apparel! Spanning cycling, triathlon, and running gear – it was a great partnership for us to explore. Ciovita offers worldwide shipping, and customized apparel, and supports their local community as all of their gear is designed and produced in Cape Town, South Africa.
You can support DC Rainmaker as well by shopping our custom lineup (seen above!) at Ciovita – DC Rainmaker collection.
HJC Sports:
HJC Sports is new to our partnerships here in 2025, but not new to our household. My wife has been riding exclusively with HJC helmets since her return to triathlon and cycling in 2022. As she usually does, she got me hooked on them as well. The helmets are super comfortable with their self-fit systems, and range from aero-road helmets, gravel, TT, even our girls are enjoying the kids line up.
I appreciate HJC’s approach to cycling, both in their products and their support of top-tier athletes. On the product side, their focus on innovation and putting out top-tier products for athletes is something I can get behind.
Likewise, in their partnerships, it’s great to see a company that supports both men’s and women’s teams, as well as individual professional cyclists globally. As the father of three young daughters, I’m happy to see that not only can my kids wear HJC helmets now on their bikes, but for as long as they love cycling.
Precision Fuel & Hydration:
Precison Fuel & Hydration is unquestionably our longest partnership. We’ve been working with them since 2018 when they first sponsored some FIT File podcasts, and fully supported our first DC Rainmaker Summer Open House with fuel and hydration for our cyclists!
Both myself and my wife use the full range of Precision’s products. I’ve done several multi-day treks, a 70km single-day-hike, all while carrying all the gel and hydration one can possibly carry. I’ve been enjoying the sherpa roll over the past few years, but still managed a marathon, an Ironman 70.3, and countless other questionable adventures fully fueled by Precision.
My wife undoubtedly holds the title of consuming the most of what they have to offer. Having completed 2x full ironmans (Kona included), several marathons, and at least 4 middle-distance triathlons in the last 2.5 years. In general, she consumes an impressive amount of PF&H Carb as she’s still cranking out daily training sessions.
Thomson Bike Tours:
Another company is joining the ranks this year is Thomson Bike Tours. Albeit, certainly not a new company, as they have been providing cycling experiences all over the world since 2001, but they are new to us. We will be traveling with Thomson Bike Tours several times throughout this season for epic bike experiences in amazing places like Morocco, Tuscany, and Spain, so stay tuned for our reviews of those trips!
In the meantime, you should take a look at all the tours that they have to offer, but be careful; once you see these experiences, be ready to book a trip for you and your friends! Make sure you tell them we sent you, as it supports DC Rainmaker, and maybe we can hook you up with some cool DCR swag!

Once again, a huge thanks to these companies for supporting my goal of publishing independent reviews of sports tech devices.
