Watch the video, I like that I can give a quick friendly boop versus a bigger honk.

Friday Tidbits: Trainer App news, FR245/FR945 gets major update, KICKR Bike gets profiles

www.dcrainmaker.com/2019/12/tidbits-trainer-profiles.html

While their preview video is hilariously too short, the 13 seconds that are within that starting at the 11-second marker are worthwhile watching.

New Favero Assioma Firmware Adds Full Zwift Bluetooth Smart Compatibility, Additional Features

www.dcrainmaker.com/2018/08/bluetooth-compatibility-additional.html

1) Single-Channel Zwift Compatibility over Bluetooth Smart: This channels both the left and right side into a single Bluetooth Smart channel for BLE apps and devices like Zwift, TrainerRoad, and even Suunto watches, among others.

So with that, let’s get into the action! Weekly Mailbag Over at Slowtwitch.com: The weekly mailbag is back in action this week – and it went all girly! 6) Apple Watch heart rate data used in murder trial: As usual, when you murder someone, you should treat it like taking off in an airplane – stow away all electronic devices.

The New York Triathlon 2010 Race Report

www.dcrainmaker.com/2010/07/new-york-triathlon-2010-race-report.html

I actually didn’t know my total event time at all during the race, as during the initial swim-dive confusion my watch didn’t get started.

Indoor Cycling Trainer Desk: For when you just can’t justify the Wahoo KICKR Desk Price

www.dcrainmaker.com/2020/09/lifeline-conquer-cycling.html

I think the point of this desk is basically splitting the difference for something that’s purpose-built, but won’t set you back as much as a mid-range GPS watch.

Smart Bike Shootout: Wahoo KICKR Bike vs Tacx NEO Bike vs Wattbike Atom

www.dcrainmaker.com/2019/10/wahookickrbike-wattbikeatom-tacxneobike.html

Whereas if you’re riding on Zwift and just want to capture that ride on your watch or bike computer so that it adds to your training load for the day, you can’t do that.

The Santa Corrida de Noël 10K Race Report (2014)

www.dcrainmaker.com/2014/12/santa-corrida-race-report.html

5 Random Things I Did This Weekend

www.dcrainmaker.com/2017/11/random-things-did-this-weekend-56.html

It looks stupid when I’m watching YouTube videos because the aspect ratio is now all wonky.

Garmin Edge Explore 2 In-Depth Review

www.dcrainmaker.com/2022/07/garmin-explore-review.html

The cool part is if you’ve got a Garmin watch, it contributes to Physio True-Up, so if you’re riding with a power meter and perhaps have a higher-end Forerunner or Fenix series, this will send the completed ride files to that, where those watches will do all the fancy calculations for training load/recovery (to be displayed on those watches).

Steaks, Ducks and Planks

www.dcrainmaker.com/2010/10/steaks-ducks-and-planks.html

A Grand Budapest Weekend

Still, we find them useful if you know how to use them and what to watch out for.)…

Wanna build your own bike path?
