If there’s ever a time for a giveaway, this is definitely it. With a boatload of folks stuck inside, any bit of gadgetry cheer I can help usher in your general direction is a good. Plus, this post helps buy me a few more hours time to finish adding a couple of words to my nearly 11,000+ word long 2020 Indoor Trainer App Guide (you can see a sneak peek of it on my Instagram Stories). So whatever the reason – it’s time for a giveaway.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway effort. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on basically anything they sell (or get points instead that are kinda like cash). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from a new trainer to a new watch. Or perhaps a new GoPro to properly document your backyard adventures, or simply new shoes to keep pacing around your living room.
In fact, with the current 20% off sale on smart trainers and related accessories, it’ll also cover a number of trainers that are now down to even $399 – sweet! Whatever floats your boat and keeps you happy (Note: While they don’t technically sell boats, they do sell stand-up paddleboards…which, are kinda like boats. And that also helps with social distancing. Just sail/paddle away!).
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of the last workout you’ve managed while properly social distancing. It’s as simple as that!
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple one-word answer (i.e. ‘Walk’), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM, especially if you’re pulling that can out of your hoarded stash. Got all that? Good.
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Sunday, March 29th, 2020 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock. Anyone in the world may enter, there’s no limitations there. However, some products can’t be shipped internationally – though most can.

My 25 mile zwift ride today on the Neo2 counts even though my avatar was definitely not social distancing.

6k running on a loop like a hamster.
Team Ireland meetup on Zwift!
Been riding ?-solo from before they introduced restrictions.
I am really lazy to do strength workouts, but that is the last one I did in isolation…can’t go cycle so might as well.
Went for my first bike ride outside as one of my allowed outsides daily exercises.
It is down to pilates, stretches and body weights. Try to do a 15/20′ routine daily and a longer routine two or three times a week.

Sprint intervals on the treadmill before going in for the night shift
Puhh, I did a short steady effort session on my rusty old dumb turbo trainer and was was bored as… after a few minutes already. Need something smart! But turbos are harder to get by than toilet paper these days…
An outdoor ride, on almost empty roads, with the good lady.
TTT bike ride in Zwift
Yoga video with my 16 year old daughter. We are now restricted to stay within 1km of our house so our usual runs are no longer allowed. But I am lucky to have an in house workout partner in my daughter!
“thanks” to the lockdown, I was able to do my 1st run outside near my home with… my dad! Slow 7km because it was his 1st time he was running with me :)
My last workout was an indoor ride with TrainerRoad, Lamarck to be precise. It consists of 4×10 minutes at 100% FTP, so it steels your mind. Being an indoor ride, I was at a safe distance from anyone else.
Plus, my team has suspended all group rides and for the foreseeable time we won’t participate in any races. Most races have been canceled anyway.
One hour on my trainer.
Trainerroad workout In the attic, high and dry
Running in the outdoors
I haven’t managed any properly distanced workout. Even leaving early didn’t help, my area seems to be much to busy.
Last workout was a 55k easy ride
30 minute row on my cheap indoor rower, no idea how far I went because it doesn’t do distance but I finished at the same place I started, just a little warmer!
Sadly my last was using Peloton (new to our house). Positives… quiet and has Christian Vandervelde on it. Negatives… it doesn’t work. The WiFi receiver claims an internet speed one quarter of what my phone gets while sitting on the bike. Bad WiFi card was a stupid little cost save.
Mountainbikeing alone in the forest
Fitspark training from Polar
Just been for a 30 min spin on an old tacx inagic.
Cycle commute everyday this week to get ready for a multi-day charity ride event optimistically scheduled in the near future. This to avoid the subways! Tokyo isn’t in a lockdown yet, we’ll know more in 20 minutes from this post!
I did a interval run workout at my local gym, to maintain social distancing they required to empty treadmills between each person.
Went for a run with the wife (we normally work out in separate groups).
Trying to stay in shape with some cycling, running and indoor exercises
An hour of intervals on the turbo trainer in the garden.

Ran a late night 10k, met 3 moving cars and 2 other runners on the other side of the road. :-)
Did the Sufferfest 4DP test then signed up for a multi-week training plan!
Did a Zwift workout on my trusted Neo. Able to jump on the trainer directly after work when working from home – instead of waiting till the evening after dinner. :)
Went for 45 mins easy, 15min moderate on a morning run, all social distances were kept, a lot more people running than usual!
Mountainbiking with a friend of mine, bit he is not quick enough to keep up?.
So maybe he should be the one to win this?

Hi Ray,
My last workout was a HIT training on my Elite Suito which I bought after a lot of reading on dcrainmaker!
I still really need a lot of gear for my homegym for example a new sport watch since mine died on me a couple of weeks ago and I used it almost every day since 2014!
Really hoping to win! :)

Well… Got laid off from work and have Achilles tendinitis so can’t run (this is my primary sport). Fortunately old bike is still working so I managed a ride last weekend. In the mean time my town got hit and badly damaged in earthquake ?. Now I reduced my outdoors to going once a week to get supplies for my family and elderly.

Attic training, sun, windows open, cycling
A solid 75min run through a hilly forest, social distancing at its best!
Sitting lonely cycling in my garage stairing at the wall…
An easy early 15km through a very quiet town
6km run here in Purmerend, running in the fields to avoid people…
Just a quick 6k run, in may laps arround my block.

A midday mountainbike trip under the hot sun, while enjoying a fresh breeze.
Easy bike session on Zwift to recover from long ride :)
A nice solo bike ride outside.
Social distance running equal an obstacle course….me: run, just run…wait a minute they are getting closer do I speed up or do I slow down…wait they are on the path, I know…run. on the sand …wait people are on the sand run closer to the water, ok now I am in the water with wet feet…damn……a soggy run later I am wishing I had a dread I’ll. :)
I did a 90 minutes endurance workout on TrainerRoad.
As far apart as you can be, but definitely connected and close by: doing stage 5 of TdW with a teammate from the USA.
Cycling with one other guy, could not draft off course :-) would be to close!

We managed to complete the race safetly.
Escaped from home office and biked to empty office for work, even more social distance than home office ?
Did 30 minutes at FTP on sufferfest.
5 km run along the seafront
4AM run, no issues with social distancing at that time ;-)
Yesterday I was cycling in the Pyrenees. On Wednesday it was a quick ride in the Netherlands. Oh, I should mention that this was all on the TacX app :-)

a quick 5k run and avoiding people on the sidewalk by occasionally running on the street
I went for an easy run, while my 6 year old son cycled along side me. Was nice to get out in the sun.
Lovely 30K solo ride through the country side. The paths in the city were busier then normal, but once outside the city I saw maybe 2 people who were not in a car (or tractor, quite a lot of those though)
In an attempt to practice for when we’re not allowed to go venture further than 1km from where we live (rumoured next step in Belgium), I ran in circles at a local parking lot. The deliveroo guys hanging out on the edge of it must have thought I was mad.
