I’m sure many of you received various sports gadgets over the last few weeks as part of the holidays. But for those unlucky elves who received only a half-eaten gel packet in their Christmas stocking from their not-so-significant others, I’ve got a festivus of a present for you: This giveaway.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on basically anything they sell (or get points instead that are kinda like cash). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero 8 Black to a Garmin Fenix watch to a massive pallet of nutrition gels, to the Favero Assioma power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Actually, it’ll cover exactly the Wahoo KICKR CLIMB, since that’s on sale to $499 right now. Whatever floats your boat (Note: While they don’t technically sell boats, they do sell stand-up paddle boards…which, are kinda like boats).
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (i.e. F6), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that? Oh, and if you just want that amazing gadget t-shirt above, you can pick that up here. Or, become a DCR Supporter here!
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Sunday, December 29th, 2019 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time [Update – through Dec 31st when I remembered to turn this off]. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I think it’s time for a drone. Failing that a new GoPro would be nice.
I’d get Assioma pedals to mesure my power imbalance due to a bad knee.
Power pedals of some description… Not certain which ones
garmin fr945 or whatever the best triathlon watch out there
oh wow! the fancy new Garmin 6
Garmin for my brother
Elite Suito, because it will suit my tiny apartment!
New garmin edge 530
I honestly need new pedals. I’ve been terrified to clip in, but I think its time!

Favero Assioma pedals pleeeease
Power meter for my MTB
Forerunner 945 because my old G-Shock just isn’t getting it done anymore.

Assioma pedals so I can transfer between bikes. Thanks Ray
Assioma power meter would be great
A cool garmin 945!
Umm, anything. Something. Dunno, anything long enough to fit in the comments, and, no wait, Vaporflys, do they count? Wanna PB before they’re outlawed…
My girlfriend “stole” the power meter off my bike so I wouldn’t mind replacing it with another Pioneer dual sided PM.
Garmin watch
Favero Assioma power meter please! Have been thinking about power meters for a while, never thought they were worth the money but I suppose these are approaching that and have had good reviews.
as my Neo disappeared into an unclear repairing situation after warranty time I am tending towards a nice KICKR.
Maaaaybe a new trainer!
I would get either a humon hex because I’m interested in playing around with muscle oxygenation or a suunto 9 because I’ve wanted one for a while but couldn’t rationalize the price.
Well, it’s time for a new smart trainer. Wahoo Kickr Core it is :)
Garmin Fenix 6
I would like the Favero Assioma power meter please thank you very much. Time to train with power as opposed to RPE.
Wahoo Kickr Climb would be great! As would Wahoo Bluetooth fan!
So many possibilities – Wahoo Roam to replace my Garmin Edge, Drone for imaging fun or garmin varia radar to keep me safe on the road,
I would love to get the last Garmin fenix 6. Thanks for all your good reviews.
so i got a stryd for christmas (thanks santa!) but i would LOVE a fenix 6 to play with during the winter.
Got the trainer for Christmas, now a Kickr Climb or Kickr Fan would really add to the setup!
Would like to pick up the follow on to the Garmin 645 when it shows up next year :)
Could have a use from the new drone from DJI
Thx Ray. Happy Christmas and happy New Years !
Smart trainer.
Some form of bike trainer. More research needed.
Garmin 945. For all the data
Hi Ray,
I would Like to have a wahoo roam or a kicker
I’d love to put the Felix thru it’s paces.
Would go for a new Garmin watch
Wouldn’t mind a new tacx training mat!
I’d love the fenix 6!
Good Luck!
I didn’t get a Fenix 6 because at the price I am still on the fence.
Smart Trainer for me please
No Gadgets from Santa so either a GoPro or a KICKR CLIMB… will decide if I get lucky ;)
Garmin Edge or Fenix! Your the bomb, Ray. Keep up the good work!
Looking to pick up a new Suunto 9 or Corps Apex pro. Though to choose between the two because both provide ample battery life. (And to be frank, I’m sick of the Garmin ecosystem)
Whenever I get the chance I always try to steer athletes towards Suunto or Polar.
I would love a power meter of any sort to try determine what power I am working at
Kickr Core for my wife or some SPD power pedals for me.
Garmin Edge 820 be it. I need a bike computer finally.
Favero Assioma power meter because I would like to bring it with me when I travel around.
New Wahoo computer since the rubber gasket on my Garmin cracked and they refuse to honor their warranty.
I need a powermeter!
A footpod that can track my pace accurately on the treadmill/jogging track during my cruise next month.
Fenix 6 because although my Fenix 3 has been awesome. It’s life is slowly coming to an end.
Hi and happy holidays everyone! Don’t know actually what I want. But I will certainly find something that otherwise would be difficult to buy.
hello Ray I would like a Wahoo KICKR CLIMB so I can train indoors and skip a few bike washes.
With a baby on the way I would go for a bike trainer if I win! :)
Fenix 6 pro
I bought my wife a Peloton Bike last Xmas and she upped and left me. Worst part is she took the darn thing with her. So, I’d get a new smart trainer.
Update my Polar m400
i need a new Garmin Edge. Hoping for the new Edge 530
I need to replace my old garmin 920xt then I would chose a garmin 945 or the brand new Fenix
One watch from a Forerunner series would be nice, maybe the 935 or 945.
I want a new watch for my fitness and hiking activities.
A GoPro would be fun
New hiking season is coming, so Fenix 6 would be a perfect companion
I really hoped I’d find a new Garmin under the tree.

I’d love to upgrade my fr735 to a new fenix
A new tri watch.
Stryd footpod
Not sure if GoPro Hero 8 or Garmin Fenix 6. Let’s see ?
I’d get an Edge for better map capabilities on long touring rides. I’m not dedicated enough to want to see my current power, cadence, etc stats while riding, but turn-by-turn directions from my watch are… difficult to use.
I’d upgrade my turbo trainer to a smart one ??♀️
Fenix 6, My OLD f3hr is playing up, so it’s time!
A Garmin 945 would be a nice upgrade for the new year
Time to get an indoor trainer
What I really need at the moment (‘need’ has to be read in the context of a cyclist..) is a new pair of cycling shoes. I’m not sure exactly which ones but I’m sure $500 will get me a good pair!
A shiny new Edge 830 to replace my old 510 would be ace.
Did not get a smart trainer that I was hoping for
Would be great to upgrade to Garmin F6.
I’d splurge for the Tacx Neo 2T. After adding it to my cart during the past couple of sales, I couldn’t bring myself to pull the proverbial trigger. $500 dollars may be the push that I need….
For sure a Garmin Edge 1030, it’s time to renew my 810 :-)
Winter in the northeast requires a new Wahoo Kickr
Think a single sided power meter…. more numbers means more fun, right?
Wahoo Kickr Climb and/or Headwind to pair with my Kickr
I would love a new Garmin or another comparable GPS watch with a heart-rate monitor and foot pod for running on the treadmill, pretty chilly up heah in the winter. Nothing too fancy, my old FR35 is getting pretty worn
If Santa came to me late, I’d want a new running watch. Garmin 245? 645? Vantage M? V? If Santa dropped off a gift certificate, I’d take the time to decide.
Garmin Edge 530 or Wahoo elemnt Bolt. My Garmin Edge 500 is on its last legs, the waterproof usb seal has fell off and I have to menually upload my workouts using USB. Still, I think I could get a couple of more years use out of it.

New direct trainer please ;)
Android watch
Still waiting for my power meter to arrive.
