Have some fun in the travel section.
I travel a fair bit, both for work and for fun. Here’s a bunch of random trip reports and daily trip-logs that I’ve put together and posted. I’ve sorted it all by world geography, in an attempt to make it easy to figure out where I’ve been.
My Photography Gear: The Cameras/Drones/Action Cams I Use Daily
The most common question I receive outside of the “what’s the best GPS watch for me” variant, are photography-esq based. So in efforts to combat the amount of emails I need to sort through on a daily basis, I’ve complied this “My Photography Gear” post for your curious minds (including drones & action cams!)! It’s a nice break from the day-to-day sports-tech talk, and I hope you get something out of it!
The Swim/Bike/Run Gear I Use List

Indoor trainer
Oh, I’d love one of the new Garmins to use the run coach on! With $500 I could get one for my husband too
I would use it towards a power meter to take my training to the next level
GoPro Hero 7 black to record action footage
Edge 1030 or 830, to check new routes using the maps.
Still on time? I need a hero 7 !
Thanks for another DCR Giveaway! Spent Father’s Day redneck kayaking/bushwacking/portaging down a local creek for 4.5 hours…might try to find something to support stupid activities like that one…
Getting older do I would love a Suunto 9 Baro to replace my beaten up Spartan Trainer.
I would probably grab an Edge 830 to replace my Wahoo Bolt.
Need so much a power meter
I would love to get a dual power meter that is compatible with my 11 speed ultegra cranks,
A pair of Garmin Vector 3 Pedals would be awesome to get.
I’ll get Garmin FR945 to start finally start running.
Does a pair of Nike Vaporfly Next% count as a gadget too? I could glue a cr2032 on top.
Would love to get my hands on the Garmin Edge 1030 and enjoy its long battery life!
945. Would be great to have maps to make sure I dont get lost and eaten by a bear on the rugged trails as I train for ultras!
Hi, probably a fr 945 :-)
Go Pro Hero, because I’d likely never splurge myself (or something more expensive, maybe a trainer?!)
The new Garmin Forerunner 945 is the tool I would prefer as it would help me get back in shape after recent surgery and pursue my goal to do an Ironman to help prove to myself I have fully recovered.
Since I already have a relatively new Fenix 5 (which I already replaced under warranty), I would probably get something for that someone special instead!
I hope to use one of this good objects
I want to train with watts
looking for a new Garmin watch. Old one is showing the years.
Edge 1030 to score some new routes using the maps
A Garmin 945 to upgrade my existing watch
Would love a new watch for fitness tracking!
Happy Father’s Day, Ray!
I would love to use the giveaway credit to get my Dad a Garmin Forerunner to track his swimming workouts in retirement.
Thanks for putting these giveaways together!
-Nick
I would get some GPS running watches to give to my high school team athletes.
My 920xt could really really use an upgrade.
Easy- A Kickr Core. I’ve got a Tacx Bushido Smart but the world has moved on and now with a quiet direct drive at a sensible price, it’s time to upgrade!
Wow how to decide?! Either a GoPro or powermeter for sure!
I’m just getting back to riding after a long absence and I’ve been eyeing the Favro Assioma Duo plus a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt to go with it and replace my ancient non-ANT+ powertap and LYC.
I would love powertap pedals to become a faster cyclist.
Assioma pedals will make my day..
Garmin 530 so I can stop using a touch screen GPS unit
Garmin FR945 for starting my summer training.
I would love to have a Garmin 830 to track my bike rides through the Alps
Garmin 945 for sure.
A power meter would be nice!
I’d love a 945. Got everything I could’ve possibly imagine!
My road pedal is toast, looking to upgrade to new pedal power meter, but do not have the dough….favero assioma duo is in my sights.
Here’s my entry! I would love to split the $500 on a Garmin Edge 530 and the rest on a new Go Pro :)
I’d get the Coros Vertix! As an ultrarunner the battery life on this thing would be pretty rad! Great work Ray, love your stuff!
I’d get a wahoo gps unit and give away my Garmin
FR 945 will be awesome!
Definitely Garmin 945!!!
Garmin vivoactive 3 with music, for sure.
I would get an Edge 520 plus. I’ve wanted turn by turn navigation for 5 years but there’s always something that I NEED more.
A new Garmin 945
New Quarq powermeter because my latest N+1 didn’t come with one.
I’d love any of the cameras. I’m a creator and I’d like to expand the tools I use!
Definitely need a GoPro for our trip to the Dolomites!
I would probably choose the FR945 because of the new metrics. Have been with Garmin some years and still intend to stick with them some more.
A GoPro Hero 7 would be most awesome, but then again, so would Garmin Vector 3 Pedals. I’m probably not going to win anyway, so it really doesn’t matter.
I would put in some additional money and go for the GoPro Fusion, as i‘m Interested in 360° video and I got scammed by an ebayer when buying a GoPro fusion. :-/
I would use the voucher on some Garmin Power meter pedals for my father. We cycle together and he loves the statistics, HR, cadence etc. Would love to add to that.
I would like to have pedal powermeters for my girlfriend, because she tries to qualify for the Ironman70.3 World Championships 2019.
i’d like a forerunner 935, but can’t afford one as a struggling freelancer…
to be able to track the strava segments in real time, and give me that extra little push on a punishing hill!
I would like a GoPro Hero 7, I would enjoy capturing rides with my family
It would be great if I would be able to pick a power meter. Training next level. But hey just winning would be great.
Veel plezier bij de volgende review. ??
My summer would be off to an amazing start with a Garmin FR 945!
I’m new to the cycling game and think a decent turbo or power meter would be a game changer for me. Thanks
A CRYSTAL BALL so I can predict how to win these AMAZE ?⚽️‘s Giveaways!!
Suunto 9 or Fenix 5! Need a watch with a battery life long enough for the century run…
New multi-sport watch!
I’d love the garmin watch, as my fenix three is on its last legs!!
I’m interested in a new watch. Thanks Ray!
Yes for Fathers’s day I need a Hero 7 action camera for my MTB rides even though i’m 64 years old.
A GoPro for my dad who’s into diving
I would love an assioma favero power meter, been looking at these for a long time
Garmin with music
I’d go for the Giro Prolight shoes + a few pairs of comfy socks!
Probably a GoPro !
I would love to replace my rapidly aging Forerunner 220, probably with a Vivoactive 3!
I would spend the 500 in a new Garmin. Let’s say a Fenix 5
An Edge 830 would be fantastic!
I’d be looking to get either a power meter, Wahoo bolt, or a GoPro. Tough decision if I won. Lol
Garmin 935 to replace my aging 920 and to pair with my Inreach Mini.
Even though I don’t neeeed it, I’d get the Forerunner 945 because my 935 strap just broke so it’s as good a time as any to upgrade.
My 10 year old daughter would love me to get a watch with mapping capabilities so that when my phone dies partway through a hiking trip she knows we’ll still get back OK as doesn’t trust my paper map skills! :(
After my latest tri effort in which I ran top 30 I need to step up my watts game on the Bike. A power meter is breder !
I’d love to get the new suunto 5 because it will help me lose more weight!
A GoPro cause I always wanted to capture my wild adventures!
I’d spend 500 for some Garmin
The Quarq power meter please…because my boss is busting my chops about how ridiculous my power is on zwift with my classic trainer/speed sensor set up and I’d love to prove that my FTP is 3 watts per kilo, or y’know, remove him as a friend so he can’t see how pitiful my FTP actually is!
A power meter so I know just how slow I really am!
Power meter for the ol’ bike. Make training and racing(If you call it that) a little more technical.
For me, please ?
Probably an Edge 830 to replace my Edge 500. Although the 500 has served me well, it’s past time for an upgrade.
A pair of Assioma duo’s is still on my wish-list!
A garmin 1030 has been on the wishlist for awhile…
I’d like to get the new Garmin FR945 because it has amazing battery life!
A gopro would be nice :)
Hero 7 Black for me! I’d put it on my son’s road bike so I can see actual race footage from his races.
I was thinking about a wireless dropper post for my MTB, or a power meter.
I mean, I’m about 6,000 comments down, so not expecting much, but I’d love the chance to win the new Forerunner 945. Ran a 1:24 half marathon yesterday and have a middle distance tri on Sunday. My poor four year old 920xt doesn’t have the battery power to last a full Iron distance race any more, and I’ve got one in September. It’d be really helpful to have a watch to help me make it to the end! Thanks.
I’m going with the FR945 as it’s likely to be worth the most in a watch-for-cake trade scenario.
I would go with the GoPro Hero 7 Black
Would love a Forerunner 945 bundle so I can really focus in one what my training needs and doesn’t need!
Wife needs a new watch for marathon training.
