Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week – and almost to the end of spring. But more importantly, today is also National Strawberry Shortcake Day (Don’t trust me? Look it up.) Unfortunately, I don’t expect to eat any Strawberry Shortcake today. Or tomorrow. And sure, I could have titled this ‘Father’s Day Gadget Giveaway’, but some countries celebrate that on other weekends (lookn’ at you, Australia).
In any case, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in specific countries (Australia or otherwise). Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always. Also, I think we just need more cake holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away. It’s been far too long.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero 7 Black (which is actually $70 off through Sunday, the lowest we’ve seen it), to the just shipping new Stages Dash units, to a random pair of socks, the Garmin Forerunner 945, or heck, even towards a new power meter. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats…wait, update, they do!). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win). Or, you can leave a description of which product your dad would want for Father’s Day.
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (i.e. FR945), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, June 17th, 2019 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

FR945 would be great to get.
Yeah, I’d probably cave and get a forerunner 945. I have the 935, but the more features, the better!
My running buddy’s ancient watch died this morning. I’d buy him a new one… or wait, maybe I’d buy myself a new one and give him mine. But anyway, he’d end up with a working watch.
Next on the list of gizmo’s is a smart trainer for my bike so it doesn’t hang up on a wall in the garage through the winter.
Not sure it will be allowed in the house though…
A new running watch to help me get back into running.
Arrgh.. with that many $ and so much stuff on the CleverTraining store..it’ll take me some time to pick – even for just a temporary choice. I do think I need to upgrade my watch. I might start there. Thanks!
Fr945 to replace my fenix 3
GoPro Hero 7 Black, right in time for the Summertime holidays! All the best, Ray
Hero 7 black because I would like to start shooting videos of some of my awesome rides and an Edge 830 because my 520 battery is a bit long in the tooth
Almost definitely the new 945, my 920xt is getting old…
I’d get a new fenix to power me through the summer marathon cycle! Chicago here I come!
I would get a Garmin Edge 530. I’ve never had a bike GPS and it would be much easier to use than my Fenix 5 when I need to read metrics like power.
Computer for my bike and some other fun toys.
Thanks Ray.
I’d get a power meter! Seems like a useful thing to have.
I would like to upgrade my fenix to one that will hopefully hold a ant+ connection. Thanks Ray
A Garmin Forerunner 945 to upgrade (significantly) from my Forerunner 230.
I would probably get the Cycliq Fly 12 CE122 HD Bike Camera Plus Front Light
would be nice to have video of some of the crazy things that happen
I’d update my Garmin F3 to the FR945. My current go to watch has seen better days.
Garmin 830 … to use on Phil Deeker’s Cent Cols Challenge 2019 Northern Alps, which starts … Wednesday! Tens days in the French Alps, each day is similar to a TdF stage: over 100, over 10,000 feet of climbing. Excited and scared.
A Garmin watch with Garmin Pay.
My twins just started a youtube channel so I’d love to get them the GoPro!
i know the reason here is just for spam filters, but i’d like to win and buy a new forerunner (245, maybe 945 if i won). my wife wanted to get me the former for father’s day and to celebrate me completing my doctorate, but i asked her not to spend the money right now. so it would be awesome to get it for free!
Would love a new PM to have on mt cx bike to have power data when I ride it
Good afternoon. I would like a top of the line triathlon watch, such as the Garmin 945. Thank you.
Garmin Edge will make me smile :D
An FR945 will be an Perfect replacement of my aging fenix3
I will get a wahoo climb.
Any gadget will work :) GoPro?
Garmin Forerunner 945 because my 910xt is old and crappy
Quite fancy a new Suunto 9 at the moment!
Go pro would fit the bill to keep up with my crazy kids :)
I’d pick up a new GoPro Hero 7 Black (dusky white) as I’m looking to start a YouTube channel (can’t say what, partly because I don’t know myself yet)
Any gadget will work :) GoPro?
I would love a new action camera and a mount for my bike to put it on.
I really want a drone!
GoPro Hero 7 Black for sure! Or hmm, maybe a powermeter? Can’t make up my mind yet :-)
It has to be the Garmin 945. As a mostly injured runner I think its time to move to triathlon
A gopro hero 7 to capture my adventures, or a new gps watch for my dad’s rowing marathons or…
I’m leaning towards the GoPro for my son and his parkour activities.
Most likely a Fenix 5x
My dad needs a new drone so he can post higher quality awkward selfies on Facebook! :)
A Garmin FR945! … It’s hard to keep a competitive edge with all this new tech! So when an opportunity comes up like this what a great way to upgrade my Fenix 3. Thanks DCR.
I would love to have some $$towards a power meter!!!
Nice! My FR935 is so much scratched after 2 years of intensive use so a FR945 would be really great!
Great giveaway. Thanks Ray
I could use a Fenix upgrade!
hehehe . . . It depends on who in the house is on the naughty/nice list! Garmin 945 or one of the Garmin Edge computers.
Garmin FR945 please
I would probably get my hands on a Polar Vantage or one of the new Garmins. Or maybe the Fly12 front light+camera combo. Well, there a few things to choose from.
A gopro 7 black for making dirt bikes movies
I’d add more money and buy the Garmin Vector 3 pedals
Yes, GoPro HERO7 Action Camera is a good idea just for copensating my instability :)
(a 3-Way Grip/Arm/Tripod also were welcomed)
I’d get the Garmin 945 to to replace my former Fenix 5+
I would use my winnings for a Suunto 9 or 5. Happy Father’s Day to all the awesome Dad’s out there.
I’d like to get a Garmin Fenix 5 or an equivalent watch. I’ve been doing more trail running lately, and I tend to be out on trails longer, so want a watch that has a long battery life.
I want the Forerunner 945, I love your statistics, I’ve always been passionate about the data, and seeing so many metrics, motivates me to run a 70.3 again.
Garmin Fenix 5s :)
I’d get a Garmin 5S Plus for my wife. She’s looking to start getting active and wants a good watch to track her progress.
A replacement for my old Garmin watch
Probably a bunch of accesories, hrm, lights, hydration and so forth.
A stages dash sounds like it could be the one or maybe I need a power meter for the gravel bike.
Garmin vector pedals – need to know how my power in races compares to training ;)
The new fenix watch would be perfect !
Woooooooooooot! Two weeks ago I would had pick the FR945 but — even if I do not swim a lot more than 68 yards very often 8^) — your last workouts with it do not seem to be the greatest; and I just buy a second-hand FR735 so well then… maybe in th bike’s section? Do not worry nevertheless, I’ll find something!
In any case, thanks for all the work — and the gievways.
Definitely a LR power meter.
Always wanted a wahoo kickr snap, is that under 500?
Sign me up! I want a powerpod power meter!
Why? Because I want to know how much power I’m generating and train to go faster and farther!
I want a go pro camera, isn’t a bad thing that it gone by the face ;)
A powermeter for the mtb to measure power on all bikes
Would be nice the GoPro Black
Well, I just ordered a Fenix 5 Plus which arrived today. So… maybe a watch for my wife too. Vivoactive?
GoPro 7 black for long runnings , would be perfect !
I’m definitely in the market for a new Garmin watch. I like the orange bands, but I refuse to pay for any more of their heart rate straps after my 5th one in 4 years just died last week.
A Garmin Fenix 5X Plus! Since I scraped mine to heck skateboarding…
I’d probably get the FR945 to upgrade from my 735XT, and hope the OWS tracking gets fixed soon.
I always need something new.
Still looking to buy an Assioma pm
So many choices, but probably the GoPro budget or Forerunner 945 with that budget … A tranferable power meter would be nice too.
I would buy a Garmin 530 as an upgrade to my aging 520. I am really interested in the bluetooth capabilities and the new trail mapping features.
I’d upgrade the Edge 820.
Garmin Forerunner 945. Very interested in the new mapping features, to find nicer routing routes than just looping on the usual route.
I would definitely get Garmin Vector 3’s as our movers somehow “misplaced” my pedals. Gotta get that upgrade to improve my riding now that I’m in San Diego!!! Hook me up so I can train to crush super frog next spring!
Any powermeter, to train smarter
Stages Dash,
I’m relatively new to this cycling malarkey, but the feedback from the Company in the comments on this site has been exemplary.
A power meter will be nice
The Garmin 945 because I need 200 waypoint support for #everystreetduval
I’d love a dual-sided pedal powermeter; simply to make sure my winter training is keeping me healthy! :-) Thanks a million Ray!
Just got a new bike and my old powertap won’t cut it any more. Bring on a new crank power meter!
Use it towards a Fenix with music
I’ll probably go for a new Fenix as my Fenix 3 starts to act a little funky or a power meter.
A little something for my wife, since most of the gadgets seem to end up with me…
As a dad, I would get myself a power meter. ?
I’d get a multi-sport enabled GPS watch!
Would get a GoPro or a trainer. Either would be a lot of fun and probably lead me to get more stuff to go with it.
I’d get a a new bike GPS to replace my ageing Garmin 520 whose battery doesn’t last a ride and has just decdied to stop syncing over bluetooth.
It would make my 53rd lap around the sun so much better to measure it with a new GARMIN FR945!
DRoooNE :-)
Fenix 5 or Garmin 945, just to update my Fenix 3
Wow. Garmin fr 945.
replace my suunto ambit 3 peak with a suunto 9
