Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week – and almost to the end of spring. But more importantly, today is also National Strawberry Shortcake Day (Don’t trust me? Look it up.) Unfortunately, I don’t expect to eat any Strawberry Shortcake today. Or tomorrow. And sure, I could have titled this ‘Father’s Day Gadget Giveaway’, but some countries celebrate that on other weekends (lookn’ at you, Australia).
In any case, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in specific countries (Australia or otherwise). Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always. Also, I think we just need more cake holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away. It’s been far too long.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero 7 Black (which is actually $70 off through Sunday, the lowest we’ve seen it), to the just shipping new Stages Dash units, to a random pair of socks, the Garmin Forerunner 945, or heck, even towards a new power meter. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats…wait, update, they do!). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win). Or, you can leave a description of which product your dad would want for Father’s Day.
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (i.e. FR945), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, June 17th, 2019 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

GoPro Hero 7 black to replace my aging hero 3
The Old Man would most definitely want the Edge 530 for Father’s day…as do I…
I’d probably pick up a Wahoo Climb.
Garmin Edge 530
New Garmin running watch would be very nice
Garmin Vivoactive 3 HR Music… I need a new watch!
Garmin Edge 530 for a friend who is just getting into riding.
GoPro for sure ;)
I’m always ready to try out new tech!
Stages Dash cuz I don’t have one.
A newer action cam would be my go to. I have an old Virb that’s just way too clunky!
Forerunner 945 — love my 935 but would really like the built-in maps
I would go for Garmin Edge 830 GPS, I think its time to upgrade my old GPS for my bikes
I’ve more chance of a Garmin 945 in this than on Sunday ….
Go Pro Hero 7 would be sweet!
Either a wahoo element or a new running watch
My Quarq died recently so I would defo look at getting a new power meter!
I’d love to have a Powermeter. Stages should fit that. Or Garmin pedals.
I’d look at power meters if I won the giveaway!
Thanks
I would be deciding between some combination of the Garmin Varia, Cycliq, and new cycling shoes
I think I like the look of that go pro in the photos above. But I think maybe upgrade to my bike computer would be a good idea.
I’d use towards Pioneer power meter!
Trying to get another one for my TT bike and want the same as my road bike. Fingers crossed
A new Garmin watch would be nice :).
I would go for a hero 7 so I could record my rides.
This would be a nice way to upgrade from my Fenix 3HR.
I need a new Garmin since I just lost my 3-month old watch while traveling :(
FR245, if only because I can’t decide if I want to upgrade from the VA3 Music.
Barometer on my 935 has gone awry so probably just gonna upgrade to the 945 – if I win ;-)
I’d get an FR245 and other assorted goodies because I am a limited athlete.
Oh a new Feñix would be much appreciated!!
I’d get the GoPro 7 Hero Black.
Definitely a new power meter!
You know it is a toss up maybe the other side for my 4iiii power meter (to be 2 sided) or maybe a sharp new GPS computer
I’m a gadget addict.
Surely a powermeter 4iiii
I would probably get the new 945, but maybe a go pro. Not sure.
Great site Ray, keep up the good work. I think you should branch out into some other reviews. Baby stuff, etc. Put the girl to work.
Power meter. I suck at biking.
What gadget do I want? Don’t ask me to decide now, I’ll need hours of browsing your site before I make a decision :-)
I’d love a new running watch. My current watch takes waaaat too long to get a gps fix. Glonass or Galileo would help, I assume…
Would love to get my hands on a new Edge 830 or Fenix 5 plus!
I’d definitely pick up the Garmin forerunner 945. It was supposed to be my gift to myself for completing a 20 mile overnight walk supporting suicide prevention in honor of my dad who we lost back in January. Unfortunately though I had a problem with my broker and had to take my company in another direction, meaning my less than a year old company now has to go through it’s second period of covering all running costs while waiting 60 days to actually get paid. Add in the three weeks of downtime while I made the transition and I’m wondering how I’m paying rent next month, let alone buying a $500 watch. But hey, if life where easy it wouldn’t be worth living.
Have not decided yet, but if I win I’ll come up with something
GoPro, I lost mine and now i realy need a new one
I’d probably pickup a GoPro Hero 7 Black. It would be a big improvement.
Fenix 5s is struggling with life at the moment, so maybe looking for an upgrade
I’m thinking into upgrading to dual sided power meter.
Hmm, probably a new watch, my 920xt is looking pretty beat up, but the Hero 7 is pretty sweet and I could use another.
It would have to be the Garmin forerunner 945 to get an upgrade to my current watch.
Hero 7, the hero 5 needs an update
Do you leave the description for the entries here in the comment section or email ?
New Garmin 530, because my 820 sucks!
I think probably the GoPro.
I would go crazy, the Garmin fenix would finally be on my wrist.
I’d have to put that towards getting a Assioma duo power meter.
Some pedal based powermeter would be the pick
Power meter for sure! It’s the last piece of equipment that’s on my “need” list!
GarminFR945, because I’m tired of Polar bugs.
Need to replace my 920xt, I need a triathlon watch that can record an Enduro type triathlon 3x 250m;6,6km;1,6km
Suunto 9 Baro, it’d be nice to have a watch that can go longer than my Trainer, and also has a baro
A garmin and a power meter so I can give mine to my daughter.
Sensibly I’d like a power meter but somehow I know I’d take the drone.
I would get a fr945 because my current watch (TomTom cardio) is almost dead (broken screen, battery drain, gps failures)
POWAH METAH!
An Edge or Dash would be great!
I think what I want is an FR 945. I have a 235 now which works swell, but it would be nice to have a few more metrics, and yeah, I admit… It might be nice to have a little music, too.
Adam
My Fenix is slowly turning into a stone (buttons not working…), so I am saving for the 5s and this would boost me towards my goal.
A new GPS watch to replace my failing FR305! It’s time!
It will go towards a power meter
I would get a good Garmin watch. Im currently using my phone and sometimes I use my Wahoo Bolt to track my runs. Its works but is definitely not ideal.
I’d like to get the a power meter crank arm.
Either a Triathlon Watch for my first triathlon in a month from today, or a smart trainer if we keep having November weather in summer …
Man it’s been a while since one of these came around. I think it would have to go towards a drone. Get my Francis cade on.
Would be awsome to have new Suunto 5 to support my half marathon running and ti replace my Ambit 1
Sram Power Meter ????
I’d love to get a new fitness tracker. Just getting back on the bandwagon so it’d be a nice kick start.
GoPro, to make some movies from my races.
Definitely a power meter for the bike!
I really want a Garmin forerunner 945. My old fenix 3 is broken

This fat dad is working hard to drop 50lbs and get back in shape after an achilles surgery in October. Need to keep up with my 4 kids under the age of 11 and coaching their baseball and softball teams. I would get the Garmin 945 to help me with tracking workouts and hikes with my family.
Long time fan of the site, keep up the great work and thanks for your awesome reviews.

I want a pedal power meters set for my bike this summer
A Garmin 945XT because my 935XT has a cracked glass!
Shiny sycling shoes…
GPS watch for my wife… or maybe a trainer. We’ll let her decide.
Stages R power meter. I already have the Stages L, but I’d like to have the dual-sided measurement
Probably put it towards a group set…or another pm…or a new head unit. Too many options!
Because of a longer bike commute, some bike dashcamthingie
