Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week – and almost to the end of spring. But more importantly, today is also National Strawberry Shortcake Day (Don’t trust me? Look it up.) Unfortunately, I don’t expect to eat any Strawberry Shortcake today. Or tomorrow. And sure, I could have titled this ‘Father’s Day Gadget Giveaway’, but some countries celebrate that on other weekends (lookn’ at you, Australia).
In any case, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in specific countries (Australia or otherwise). Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always. Also, I think we just need more cake holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away. It’s been far too long.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero 7 Black (which is actually $70 off through Sunday, the lowest we’ve seen it), to the just shipping new Stages Dash units, to a random pair of socks, the Garmin Forerunner 945, or heck, even towards a new power meter. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats…wait, update, they do!). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win). Or, you can leave a description of which product your dad would want for Father’s Day.
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (i.e. FR945), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, June 17th, 2019 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

The GoPro Hero 7 Black sounds sweet!
I would take anything ;) but I would love to buy the new stages dash
Either an Edge 830 or a pair of Vector 3s. I like products that have a “3” in their designation. And gadgets are fun.
A Wahoo Elemnt Bolt to get rid of my Edge 520!
New power meter – pedal, crank, not sure???!?!!
Looking to upgrade my trainer! It’s right next to the baby room and I’d love a model that is quiet(er).
My dad would need new legs !
GoPro 7 Black – want to be able to document rides, runs, spartan races and training
Possibly a new head unit…
I’d get a GoPro 7 to catch the glorious breakaways of my friends, as I languished out the back!
want to upgrade my 920xt and/or the DCRM cycling kit :)
Probably a new watch to replace my Vivoactive HR.
I’ll still be as happy with my life as i am without a GoPro. But it would be great to look back at that great life with the footage of a GoPro Hero 7 ;-)
I see a drone in my future!
Probably a FR945 in order to track multi-sport activities.
Hero 7 Black so I can record audio even when it’s raining!

Garmin for my bike. The one I have now is so old I can’t remember the model!!
Not 100% sure right now. But, it would be either a Garmin Edge 1030 or a Fenix 5 Plus.
a new power meter
I’d finally be able to get a power meter to train with power!
Trying to decide between a GoPro or gear for the bike… Time to diversify and do another sport on top of my running!
Need a down payment on a new set of wheels!
I would get a tri watch. Probably the garmin 945. That should do it all.
Thanks
Powermeter as iq2 seams to Delivery in the far future, if ever
I was thinking of getting a GoPro, but having seen they sell ‘boats’, I think this may be a good time to buy that kayak!
I’d put it towards a new power meter I think. My P1s are giving wild reading and the cost of repair is about half the price of a new PM currently ?
Upgrade to one of the new Edges.
Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I would get the 4iiii Precision power meter for my road bike.
I think that I would get a new 830. I want that trailforks integration!
Hoping to upgrade from my dumb fluid trainer to a Kickr Core for the upcoming season. That, or grab a Feedback Omnium for warming up at CX races.
probably the garmin 945. thanks!
iI would prefer Fenix 5 Plus or maybe Suuntos watch if it’s capable to replace my ambit 3 peak.
Hi Ray,
I am starting to train for the Chicago Marathon, and since I just bought the FR245 from Clever Training, I might just buy running clothes, and a footpod. Wow, that would be lame. I hope I win!
Thanks,
Chris,
Thanks for the opportunity Ray! I‘d get a new gps watch with longer battery life than my 630. Maybe the 945, maybe the Sunnto 9. Cheers.
Fenix is a little long in the tooth — time for an upgrade! Bring on the big money!
A pair of assiomas would be nice
I’d love a new Forerunner, since my old one finally crapped out (it had a good run!). Thanks for offering the giveaway!
A powermeter for my TT bike
I will take the Edge 830 MTB Edition. With all that new software problems I don‘t want to buy it with my money, but as long it‘s your cash I‘m totally ok with it… ;ö)
A new watch would be great!
Hero 7 Black is my dream camera…
Garmin 245 Music to compliment the one I just got for my wife.
A power meter. I don’t have one and I would like one.
Wahoo Roam bundle! New computer for summer riding
I would buy a power meter
Been looking at power meters again recently, probably would buy something like that
Not really sure except I would get a reflective vest and maybe some fun socks. The rest, who knows. I’m an accessories junkie though so I’m sure I’d figure something out :)
Vivosport sounds good to me!.. Dont need the weight of my fenix 3 HR
I’d probably get a power meter for my new TCR
Wahoo Element Bolt. I need a bike computer!
A powermeter. Or a gopro. Or a gps watch.
Garmin Forerunner 945 because my Vivoactive 1 is chugging along, but has seen better days. Maybe a Power Meter on the side until the Wattbike Atom finally comes stateside.
I really need a new Garmin Edge
Garmin forerunner to time future ultras
Fenix 6 plus sapphire
O would want to buy a trainer. I’m too lazy to wake up early
GOPRO! Always wanted a way to record clean vids of rides! Thanks.
For sure a new Garmin. My 910XT as been very faithful, but it’s showing its age. This giveaway would help :)
Vor me it would be a new bike computer. The old one broke last week…
Hey Ray,
I could show you what I would like to do with a brand-new gopro hero7? Cheers!
Garmin Fenix 5+ please :)
Fijn weekend
My Fenix 3, is getting a bit long in the tooth. The new FR would be a lovely upgrade
All I need is a strawberry shortcake :-D
Thinking the ELEMNT Bolt.
I would get the Garmin Forerunner 945. Been eyeing that so hard!
I’d get the Garmin Vector Pedals – I really need a Power Meter for my bike!
Well I could go for a new Power Meter – pedal based – so maybe the Favero Assioma. I also could go for a watch upgrade too – Garmin 945. Or maybe even a new head unit for my bike – Garmin 530. Too many choices, so if I win I will have a hard time deciding.
I’d get a power meter. I got used to riding with a power meter last winter using my Elite Direto that I feel like training naked outside now.
The GoPro for my next trip…
I’d put the money towards a power meter
I’ll get a fr945 as my 920 is starting to show its age.
I’d get the FR945 to upgrade my 935… for having music without my phone
Has to be a FR945. Really want to try those new features!
Would really like to get the GoPro Hero7 for some silky smooth video this summer
I’d have to think and decide between the edge 530 or the element roam… plus extra ;)
Fenix 5x plus to have a watch with payment possibility (-:
Mama needs a new watch! Looking at the Suunto 9 or Garmin Fenix 5!
A new GoPro – my dad’s dog managed to mangle his old one!
Garmin 745xT – I will wait for it.
New Garmin 830!
A fathersday Fenix 5 plus gift would be great.
I need, (I mean WANT!! I’m nowhere near good enough to need) a pedal based power meter just because I love seeing the numbers and trying to get them higher
Not entirely certain which direction to go yet – but the bike is in need of a power meter…
I’ve been eyeing an upgrade to my 920XT, so I’d probably be looking at the Forerunner 945.
For me, it’s a toss up between Cycliq lights and some GoPro kit. Would love to start making some short vids of my rides!
I’d probably go for a smaller/thinner Garmin. I love my Fenix 5X, but it’s massive on my wrist! During the summer it’s not such a problem, but during the colder months a lot of my jacket sleeves don’t stretch enough at the wrist to let me access the watch!
Go Pro for upcoming three week road trip in the US
Looking for that extra battery life of the garmin 945. Starting to go longer and harder these days so extra juice for the wrist adornment would be nice; it gets thirsty, too.
I would get the Forerunner 645 -Why? for a geekful of data, of course!
Since I want to build a new bike i would go for a new Powermeter!
Bye them all!
GoPro and some chest straps because who doesn’t need those things!
The Garmin Forerunner 245… probably. :-)
That’s so cool. I’d get the one upgrade I still neeeeeed: a powermeter
Fenix 5S Plus because my Sansa Clip clips keep breaking and I need my music.
A Stages Dash L50 to replace my new Garmin 1030 since im tired of all the software crap.
Ooh Wahoo Bolt looks nice.
Fenix 5 x plus hahahah!!! I ga e the fenix 3hr and the altimeter its broken, so I would love to have this new baby in my wrist and have a complete data of my trainings and races.
