Have some fun in the travel section.
I travel a fair bit, both for work and for fun. Here’s a bunch of random trip reports and daily trip-logs that I’ve put together and posted. I’ve sorted it all by world geography, in an attempt to make it easy to figure out where I’ve been.
My Photography Gear: The Cameras/Drones/Action Cams I Use Daily

So in efforts to combat the amount of emails I need to sort through on a daily basis, I’ve complied this “My Photography Gear” post for your curious minds (including drones & action cams!)! It’s a nice break from the day-to-day sports-tech talk, and I hope you get something out of it!

Fenix 5 Plus because I’m super psyched for trails this winter and am long overdue for a watch upgrade.
I would like to get a new indoor trainer. $500 isn’t enough, so I will need to pay some extra. Good luck for myself
I would probably update my power meter.
Garmin Fenix 5 Plus so I can train with one less device….wait actually two! No mp3 player or heart rate monitor! Double Bonus!!!
New Garmin Watch for running :)
I‘d go for a garmin fenix or a apple watch, because my peppble comes to age and my tomtom is a bit limited
I would get a Forerunner 645. I have been using Suunto for the last few years but lately, since they’ve moved focus over to the new Suunto app, I’ve had nothing but problems.
The forerunner looks like it hits all the right areas for me.
I would like a new indoor trainer to replace my old school Tacx Sirius (with broken cable…)
Fenix 5s plus to replace my ancient fenix 3
Hi, Ray
Would love to get maybe a Garmin Fenix, to replace my old FR10. Or something else, who knows.
Greetings from Portugal – and wish you a great 2019!
I’d get the Forerunner 645. Not the music one, because I’d never use the music part. But I’d love to update my current garmin to this new shiny watch. And because I do love the magenta strap, I’d get that as well. And the rest I’d spend on a nice gadget for my boyfriend because he always wants more!
I would have Garmin running pod and a set of power meters for cycling to get faster for TTs.
Fenix5+ – to update my 4 year old watch.
Garmin edge 1030 for the maps
I’d get a Wahoo Kick’r Smart fan to go with the trainer I ordered.
I’d like to get a wahoo kickr core
New (more silent) trainer so I don’t wake up my family when I work out in the morning!
A Kinetic R1 trainer to replace my old Fluid trainer, and why that one? Because it is the only direct drive trainer that seems to advertise that it can swap bikes easily (I have to share!).
I would get myself a proper sports watch for triathlon, still haven’t decided which one :)
I would really like an fenix 5 plus!
I would help get my husband a new Garmin Fenix 5S Plus Sapphire!!! I still love my FR that he gave me and I wear it almost daily.
Garmin Vector
A direct drive trainer.
I would take the Vector3
Probably a Fenix 5 to replace my old Garmin
I would get some type of power meter,
Would love to have some Vector pedals if possible
Garmin Forerunner 645 for wife to replace old running watch plus a Hyperice Vyper 2.0 to ease soreness from running volume ramp.
Probably a Fenix 5 as my F3 is starting to show its age a bit. But its still a great device!
I would get a Favero Assioma power meter for my road bike since powerbeats folded and I’ve had mixed results with that meter.
A Wahoo Kickr Core for my Indoor training
2/3 of a new trainer probably… though a new Garmin to replace the seemingly 14 year old one on my mountain bike might be money better spent for how much I avoid my non-smart trainer right now
Would definetely need an upgrade from my FR910XT – something in the lines of the Fenix from Garmin.
Garmin 645 because it’s the best running watch
I’d like the Polar V650 because the Vantage V screen is too small! Also an H10 HR chest strap would be a nice addition.
The garmin edge 520 plus, since my old is starting to have problem holding battery for longer rides
Hero 7 Black to get great stabilized ride video.
I would use it towards a Tacx Neo 2 for my husband. We love riding together on Zwift and his trainer is old while mine is new.
edge 520 plus
I guess I would like to get the Favero Assioma power meter
Torn between a GoPro Hero 7 Black for that superb image stabilisation, or a bike trainer to burn a few extra Christmas calories off during the cold winter months.
Looking to consolidate all my power meters to the Favero Assioma
Ich guess I would Like a wahoo kickr Trainer.
Go Pro hero 7
Garmin 1030 as the screen cracked on my 1000.
Awesome! Definitely going with the Favero Assioma power meter!
Would love to get a new sports watch!
I forgot to ask for some bluetooth headphones to keep me occupied during workouts!
Probably a Garmin 935…
a new snazzy trainer!
Ooh, I want cycling lights for my lovely city bike!
A direct drive trainer. My Kickr is becoming less and less accurate with age and I would love a replacement.
I would definitely get a Fenix as it was on my list but somehow didn’t make it.
I’m thinking a Fenix 5 plus (which might need a bit of a top-up on the credit!)
Fenix 5 Plus for my training.
I need a new garmin badly!!!
A Garmin Forerunner 645 GPS Watch
I love the t-shirt!
I’ve finally ventured off my TM into outdoor running. Would love a Garmin 35 or 235.
I’d love to get a new Garmin Edge 1030 to keep me connected on long rides…since I tend to get lost! Thanks! Laura
Garmin 935 or 5+, I’m generally happy with my 645 but could do with a bigger battery and multisport would be handy.
Fenix 5 Plus, because that’s what Ray uses!!! Merry Christmas!
I’d get a Vivoactive 3 for my wife. Or maybe a Fenix 5X for me and pass her the 230 ;-)
Varia radar and new Garmin 520plus
Garmin Edge 520, I have an original Edge 500 that has been fine for years but it’s showing it’s age now and being able to synch to my phone would mean one less cable to be found after a ride.
Happy New Year to you all!
i’ll take a new Garmin Forerunner please!
I’d get the Wahoo kicker headwind fan to get as close to the outdoor experience as possible.
Probably one of the Fenix+ range because of their accuracy and navigational abilities.
A new bike computer sounds good.
I’d go with a Garmin 935 to upgrade from my old watch.
I’d like to get a smart trainer and try to get my wife on zwift.
A Favero Assioma Duo power meter, as they sound to be great value, and ideal for transferring between bikes
My 735xt would need a replacement… and I will be tempted by a fenix with music.
I would most likely opt for a direct drive indoor trainer as my existing wheel on model is showing its age.
Would put it toward a new powermeter. My Vector 2 pedals are chewing batteries :(
A Suunto 9 G1 Baro to get off the asphalt and out onto the trails.
New GoPro to replace my aging Hero3
A power meter most likely. Probably Garmin Vector 3 pedals..
GoPro Hero7. It’s time for an upgrade!!
A kickr climb would be awesome, or even a F5plus – the F3 needs an upgrade I think ;-)
I would definitely get power meter pedals. I currently have no way to track power on my outdoor rides or races. It would be a huge improvement for my training and ability to pace during TTs and Triathlons.
Power meter. To start some proper training.
I would have loved a new trainer… my bkool died in November.
Have been waiting for Atom to sell in France… and then for Tacx bike.
But so far nothing released.
Thanks Ray for this – always awesome.
I would get the Garmin Fenix 5x Plus because it has very thing possible fitness geeks. ***AWESOME***
A Tacx Neo 2 would be a great start for a high-end home training setup

GoPro hero black 7, because I want to make better videos
Forerunner 645 music so i can run without a phone
Great reviews DC and I love the newsletter from the Girl.
I really wanted a Fenix 5x plus.
Thanks for another great year of reviews and cheers to the year ahead.
Looking forward to some form of power meter…. this will help
I would get (with a little extra cash) some Garmin Vectors!
Hi, I would use credit to buy action cam, probably GoPro.
GoPro Hero 7 black for stable videos during my rides.
I’d get a Garmin Vivoactive 3 (with music)! I’m coming off a broken leg and need something stylish and functional to track my progress as I heal. Bonus points because it looks put together enough for me to wear in the classroom so I can track all the steps I do when I chase around the kinders.
Think I’d go with a Garmin Varia Radar. Safety + Gadgets = Happiness
Ready to start the New Year off right, but I just might need the fenix 5 to help me !
Love all you do ! Thanks
Bill in NM
Tacx Neo so I can be one of the cool kids.
Anything to help me get quicker!!
What I didn’t get that I would treat myself to? Probably a new Fenix to replace my aging 735xt!
I would really love the opportunity to put the prize win towards buying a cycle computer. I would love to pre-load a route into it, and then go out and ride it and know where I am! I have a terrible sense of direction and am too nervous to venture out on the back roads on my own, as I don’t know where they go! This would solve my problem :-)
