I’m sure many of you received various sports gadgets over the last few weeks as part of the holidays. But for those unlucky elves who received only a half-eaten gel packet in their Christmas stocking from their not-so-significant others, I’ve got a festivus of a present for you: This giveaway.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on basically anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero7 Black to a Fitbit Versa smartwatch to a random pair of socks to the Favero Assioma power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats or even other vessels like submarines).
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (i.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Friday, December 28th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

Hard to choose – but with a shiny new bike gathering dust until spring rains wash the salt from Ontario roads, it’ll be either a Garmin Edge or a powermeter!!
I’d get a Kickr Core and mount it to my rocker plate ASAP.
$500 toward an Elite Zumo would be a great New Years present!
Favero Assioma Duo because I regrettably bought the Uno and I’d like to be able to identify discrepancies throughout my range. In my defense, the prices during initial release were much higher.
Assioma Pedal Based Cycling Power Meter.
Need a power meter for a long time.
Either the Hero 7 Black or Osmo Pocket for run videos.
I’d put it towards a Garmin Fenix 5 Plus. I have a 3HR right now and the battery is starting to show its age. Good luck to all!
Right now my wishlist is long.. Very long. But immediately I would like to replace my old Suunto Ambit 1 with something more up to date, like Garmin 735 / Suunto Spartan. At the very least I will replace my Heart rate monitor which my puppy has eaten and the strap on the watch. If I budget wisely $ 500 will even help towards new running shoes for my first Ultra Marathon later this year.
Maybe, just maybe my name get’s selected. Thumbs held!
I would get a power meter, maybe ;-)
Power meter.
Because POOOOOWEEERRR
Maybe a Garmin 1030, or a power meter of some variety, but mostly this is just a good excuse to say thanks Ray and merry Christmas.
I’d like to make a gift to my children – sport watches – to encourage them a bit.
A Fenix 5 because my beloved Pebble watch gave up recently.
Some gear for my bike to make it gravel ready
Wow, I was expecting the GARMIN INSTINCT for Christmas but I guess the reindeers got lost somehow.
However I’d like to think the Three Wise Men will get the relay and pop in with it by January 6th…
In the remote event (sigh) that the latter also would not happen, I just hope to win the giveaway and also hope the team at Clever Training ship to Europe.
That would be truly awesome.
I would get a Favero Assioma power meter. I’ve had my eye on it for a while now.
F5 since my 230 is on its last legs!

Smart Trainer for sure!
I’m ready to upgrade from my Tacx vortex to a direct drive, my family would never understand this
