I’m sure many of you received various sports gadgets over the last few weeks as part of the holidays. But for those unlucky elves who received only a half-eaten gel packet in their Christmas stocking from their not-so-significant others, I’ve got a festivus of a present for you: This giveaway.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on basically anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero7 Black to a Fitbit Versa smartwatch to a random pair of socks to the Favero Assioma power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats or even other vessels like submarines).
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (i.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Friday, December 28th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

Garmin VIRB Ultra 30 to film reckless drivers and my power data when I get angry.
I could definitely use a upgrade from my old CompuTrainer.
I would like a Fenix watch to help me meet my 2019 fitness goals. Thanks DCR for all the great content!
Would get a new cycling computer
I would buy my first power meter
I am a cross country runner in high school and can’t afford a watch and I would love a Garmin forerunner 645 to help track my training!
A Garmin 935 please !
the Favero Assioma power meter
I’d love to replace my dated Edge 800. Its propensity for crashing while following a course is frustrating to say the least.
The Fenix 5 would be awesome!
An indoor trainer for the really hot days of summer. And to validate the iQ2.
Fenix 5+ or Apple Watch series 4 or both ;-) one for the left and one for the right hand.
I’d get a tacx flux s . I really would like auto increased resistance, as well as getting to try out erg mode. As well, I’d like to give up on trainer tires and just have direct drive.
I would change my old forerunner
Should cover me for a trainer and computer
Definetely Favero Assioma’s, would upgrade my old bepro’s
Wahoo Kicker Core please. I asked for this for Christmas and Santa came up short. I need to hit the road this winter in the warm confort of my basement!
Wahoo climb to up my Zwift game.
A better Garmin with a map. On familiar roads it’s not an issue, but want to be able to navigate while in the saddle in unfamiliar territory.
New bike bc it’s been too long
Definitely a right-side Stages crank meter to match the left-side one I’ve had for years.
Love a power meter!
Hello
I would like the hero7 because I do not have a better camera than what my smartphone offers, and that is a potty for the great scenes of life.
On the other hand I would also like to get a new ⌚ to support my runs and occasional mtb tours or swims.
So here it is, take this one please!
Like some fancy heart rate watch, maybe even one with the new ECG feature. Getting old and need to watch these things.
OH I would love Kickr Headwind!!
Think I’d go with a Fenix 5. Would welcome the live segments (moving up from 630) and better “everyday” looks.
New Garmin Fenix with Bluetooth music so I can run with my new wireless earbuds!
Probably an activity tracker/smart watch of a Garmin variety. I’ve been interested in tracking activity off the bike, sleep and some of the other details of life. I’m not an Apple fan (Linux or Windows if no viable Linux option) and FitBit seems a bit too locked in to their ecosystem for my tastes.
Forerunner 935 my 235 won’t track my swimming.
an indoor trainer like the tacx vortex
Fenix 5 Plus because my Fenix 3 is getting a bit long in the tooth.
I would love a trainer for my bike. Getting all dressed up for the cold eats up too much could-have-been-riding time. Wahoo KICKR or bust!
Happy new year to all you athletic nerds!
A quiet smart trainer so I can ride while the kids are asleep!
Oooo!
The Wahoo Bolt! Indeed! Been drooling over them ever since I gave one to my girlfriend! Coler me #jealous…
:)
A Garmin Edge 520 would go great with the Varia RTL510!
Probably a Garmin Fenix 5X plus would be on my wishlist.
I’d buy my first power meter!
My naked wrist would feel very comfortable with a Fenix 5 plus keeping it warm.
I would like to try Kickr core!
The kickr climb here. As winter progresses, something to shift the angle of the seat would be nice for those long trainer rides!
Power meter for my bike, still have to chose which one!
A Fenix 5, because my Fenix 3 does not support a lot of the new connect IQ data fields
Either a new PM (pedal based favero or vector3) or I could use a new bike computer. My edge 1000 is on its last legs.
Haha. A GPS watch (Fenix 5) because i am tired of relying too much on my phone for run tracking
I’d like an Apple Watch to replace my Fitbit or wireless headphones. Or a cadence monitor to use during cycle class
Garmin Fenix 5 plus so I can easily listen to tunes.
I would like to buy the Garmin 935 smartwatch !
Probably Edge 520 as would be a significant upgrade on using my old Garmin 405 watch to track rides!
I would buy a new direct drive trainer!
Garmin vector 3
Polar vantage watch or a new bike computer like edge 820
Be great to get a Garmin pedal based power meter! Fingers crossed…
I would get a Fenix 5 because the mapping feature is pretty cool
I would definitively get a new Fenix 5 Plus. Although I think my current Fenix 3 is awesome, you can never get too much tech!! And it is getting a bit old with the odd BSD now and then…
I plan to buy an indoor bicycle trainer (Direto / Kickr Core / Neo1) and kick-start my weight loss journey. I have torn my reconstructed ACL and had to stop running! I found new love in cycling, but unfortunately food and the couch have been more “inviting”. Probably, an indoor trainer will shake up some things.
GoPro Hero 7 Black
I would replace my old Garmin bike computer, I would like to have maps!
Our magnetic bike trainer is 20 years old. Time to replace it and this would do nicely on the way to a wahoo kickr!
i would get a new direct drive smart trainer.
I would buy the kickr core. So I finally can train properly in winter.
I would purchase the Garmin Vector 3 Pedal-Based Power Meter to go on my Tri Bike for 2019, as I’m doing my first full Ironman race next year and would use the pedals for training and racing.
Santa (aka the husband) was kind and got me the Garmin Tri HR Monitor and the Zwift Run Pod… but with the bluetooth and ant+ wars between all the devices, I still have the Wahoo TickrX lonely on my wish list
Fenix 5x Plus because it’s the latest and greatest! Thank you.
Oh baby..it the Felix 5. You know I can’t live without you anymore. You’ll be the only one that I will love. I promise forever and ever.
All I want for Xmas is that Neo trainer….
Power meter pedals. Garmin vector 3 probably cause half price with this!
Wahoo Kickr SNAP
Because my Garmin is so oooooolllllllddddd!
GoPro H7, replacement for h4
I would buy a Garmin Edge 820 because I already have a GPS and I don’t really need it… That way when I lose yet another contest, I won’t be disappointed that I didn’t win the thing I didn’t win.
I’m after a power meter preferably pedal based
Of course I would love to get a garmin watch…model TBD. ?
I would buy a set of Gamin Vector 3’s
Fitbit Charge 3, since my old watch is broken
I would love a new tacx trainer!
Need to build out a new pain cave for after my move
Cycliq lights for me!!
It’s time for me to invest in a Kicker SNAP!!!
Would have loved fenix 5plus but clearly Santa didn’t get my memo!
i would get the kinetik rock and roll fluid trainer for my mtb indoor-training!
I would love a Quarq powermeter as i don’t have one yet!
I’ve never had a real GoPro and would love to start riding with one to capture the kids adventures on the Silver Comet Trail here in Georgia.
The Fenix, because it is super cool!
I actually did get what I wanted: a Forerunner 645M. But I could use a whole bunch of accessories, starting with an HRM-RUN and a footpod.
Garmin bike computer. So I won’t get lost anymore
I’d get a power meter. Most probably, pedals — the only thing I’m missing
I would go for a Garmin 935 and upgrade my 920XT!
Fenix5 as upgrade for F3
Oura smart ring for the wife, she has trouble sleeping and tracking her sleep and finding what works and what not would be great.
Pedal based power meter! Viva Ironman 2019!!
Season greetings !
A power meter would be great – always wondered what the numbers would look like…
Asioma one look great.
Cheers
Quarg d zero power meter spider
110 BCD
sweet looking piece of tech !
I’d get a smart trainer bc I can’t seem to motivate without Zwift or something like it
A power meter to help my training for my first tri in 2019!
New trainer!!
would like to get a direct drive trainer as my roller is quite noisy
I can’t decide if it would be a new watch, new bike computer or maybe a camera. I am not ready to make decisions so soon after the holidays.
I’d get a Garmin Fenix 5+ to put some music in my runs!
A new, fancier watch
I would get the Kickr climb since I live in a place surrounded by hills!
I’ve long had my eye on a varia radar or cycliq light setup for the narrow, dangerous roads here in NJ (and the missus would appreciate the extra peace of mind), but haven’t been able to justify the outlay
I would most likely get a Suunto 9 Baro, basically for the battery life and the elegant looks of it. A smart trainer would be nice as well, tough choice.
