The Didn’t Get What You Wanted $500 Gadget Giveaway

DSC_4548

I’m sure many of you received various sports gadgets over the last few weeks as part of the holidays.  But for those unlucky elves who received only a half-eaten gel packet in their Christmas stocking from their not-so-significant others, I’ve got a festivus of a present for you: This giveaway.

The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime.  By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on basically anything they sell (or get points instead).  If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero7 Black to a Fitbit Versa smartwatch to a random pair of socks to the Favero Assioma power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer.  Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats or even other vessels like submarines).

How to enter:

Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).

The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (i.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters.  And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM.  Got all that?

Good luck!

The giveaway entry period will run through Friday, December 28th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time.  Winner will be selected randomly.  One entry per person.  The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I would love to have a power meter for my road bike!

  44. Tom

    Gps watch

  45. Paul Erickson

I’d love to put that $$ towards either a smart trainer or a set of power meter pedals like the Garmins or Assiomas. Since I have multiple bikes, being able to use whatever I selected on both bikes would be key, so the power meter pedals or KICKER CORE trainer are my top ideas at this point!

Since I didn’t get any cycling gear for the holidays, this would really be awesome!

    Thanks for doing this, Ray!

  46. Raymond Wright

  51. Oscar

  68. Michael Harman

If it were just me, I’d probably go with the Favero Assioma pedals… but since the wife is training for triathlons, I think I’d have to discuss with her what we would get.

  69. Jerome Debize

Would get accessories for the Garmin and the bicycle
    Jerome

  70. Matthew

Might need to opt for a good bike computer (since I rely on my watch at the moment)

  71. Jon Niehof

I’d put it towards a smart trainer

  81. Nicolas

    POWER! UNLIMITED POWERRR (meter)!!

  82. Eric F

Either a pedal based power meter or garmin fenix 5s. Have a fenix 3 hr at the moment, but looks a bit too big for me.

  83. A Fenix 5 Plus for some music while I run.

  84. Chris Standke

Looking for a new sports watch

  85. Tom Coussement

I need to replace my Garmin forerunner 910xt…

  86. Peter Buffington

If I win the gadget giveaway, I’d go with the Wahoo KICKR SNAP as it’s the one of five mid range trainers that Ray recommends. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful for my dumb trainer, but I think this would help my training for Half Iron in Augusta. Thanks, Maker fam, for all you do.

  87. Stephan

Love to pick up a new hydration pack.

  88. Tina O'Connor

I’d buy my husband a new Garmin Edge 520. We are both Garmin addicts and his current Edge needs to go to the retirement drawer

  89. Guy

What I’d really like is a Tacx Smart bike because then I could get my wife riding too! Happy New Year Ray!

    New turbo trainer

A trainer, because winter is here, and it’s not warm!

  96. Greg Purviance

So many things to consider. Probably help fund a new powermeter

  98. Oscar

I would like a smart trainer to suffer near the refrigerator

  99. Mark Lever

I’d pick up a fenix 5 or suunto spartan to replace my aging fenix 3
