First swim after long illness. Long walks.
Worked all weekend. Athletic adventure included running from code to code, down to trauma bay, and restraining myself from wanting to loose it on people! Back to weightlifting today though!
Did an obstacle Race this past weekend. the Goliath Gauntlet.
Volleyball and Pilates!!
On Saturday we rode the 9th annual Monkey Knife Fight from Emmaus, PA (in 85 degrees of sunshine!) – the event raised over $20k to fight cancer :)
(Also, some truly brutal hills…)
Recovered from IM 70.3 FL by watching my son row at his state HS championships. Yelled too much. Ran the side of the course till my legs screamed. A good event!
I was shredding pow in the never ending ski season.
Ran the Derby (UK) 10km in 39:20 on achey legs and was then persuaded to do the 3km ‘fun’ run afterwards by my 8 year old son…
This weekend I didn’t run or cycle, I just did a short 10km hike with the love of my life and our dogs :)
Two miles flat out. Not trained for it, but when a buddy throws out a challenge, you go for it.
Did a nice 2 mile recovery walk.
Enjoyed a 95km bike ride in the sun, felt like summer here in Belgium ?
Training for Gran Fondo NY. Hill Repeats Saturday, Endurance ride on Sunday
Did a squat, row & run workout that wrecked me, walking the next day was awful.
I did a bit of indoor rowing.
A couple hours on the trainer and Zwift.

Walked to the mailbox. Unexpected triple bypass surgery 2 weeks ago. First cardiac rehab session earlier today.

Was supposed to be running Boston, but a calf strain during the taper last week put me on the shelf
On Sunday I did a MTB race, without a wahoo element bolt on it… :-(
Amstel Gold sportive, only 150km, but that was enough.
Enjoyed gorgeous 60 degree weather with the kids on Saturday and on Sunday wrapped up week 7 of my half marathon training with a long run in 40 degree weather with 31 degree windchill and 25 mph wind. Not quite what I had in mind when I signed up for a spring half.
I couldn’t get out on the bike this weekend, but I did some maintenance so that my Monday morning bike commute would go smoothly.
Saturday morning my daughter got a medal in a badminton tournament. From there I went to swim in the pool (in this part of Canada we are not any time near open water swimming yet, even with swimsuit). Sunday long run. And today, Monday, a 7-a-side game of football (they call it soccer over here). Being in the category 50-59, that’s athletic enough.
Long weekend run in the wind, rain, and cold of Illinois.
Running side by side with my son on his scooter, does that count as athletic ?

Had a massive PR run in the Amstel Gold Race 140k tour edition!
First pub ride of the year! 60 odd km and only one beer.
2 hour trainer ride as it was a snow storm in Spring.
I went and played in a 1 day hockey tournament in Montreal — 5 games in one day which included playing Les Canadiennes de Montreal which is a female pro team including gold medalist Hilary Knight! Awesome
Still recovering from a foot injury so i had a 2 hour walk in the Lake District. One of the nicest walks i’ve ever done.
Long slow run around the Kaiteriteri forest.
Did some climbing!
Fought 22 mph winds all of Saturday morning because I’m too excited about my new bike to let it collect dust in the garage
Trail running and MTB – great spring weather: sunny and +25C
Did my last ‘long’ training run before my first real marathon (which is apparently the oldes marathon of the Netherlands, Enschede Marathon)
Well, when on a stag do it’s quite hard to exercise! But to go out and get home we only had walk up/down a 25% hill! Great quad and calf work out.

Did a 5k run followed by a couple of hours volunteering which involved a community clean up
I was watching full coverage of Boston Marathon this morning. Still in recovery mode after IM 70.3 Oceanside.
I did a 2 hour pre-ride of the Xterra course here in Austin ahead of racing this weekend. Scared (and scarred) myself plenty of times!

Two runs this weekend, one with a friend, the other to go have a picnic with the kids (they were on the bike)
3 mile easy run on Saturday and then 4 1/2 hours on the bike trainer on Sunday while watching it snow outside. Felt like a productive training at least.
I did the South Beach Triathlon this past weekend. Conditions were brutal but I had a blast!!!

Thought I’d be smart and outwit Mother Nature and her cold/wind/sleet by running on the gym treadmill. Ironically my run stopped at 9 miles because I was overheating!

Very slow, very large volume before the monster week that is this week. Go slow to go fast.
the weather here in Iowa was crap all weekend, so I was stuck swimming in the pool and running on a treadmill. Maybe next weekend?

Sunday I just finished a trail semi marathon race and Saturday I had my birthday party and I thought I could not do much after some drinks and few sleep, but to my surprise I finished 110/1157!
