Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week. But more importantly, today is also Australia Day. I only know that because I’m in Australia, and the beaches are more crowded than the starting line of a marathon (still, I pretended to workout and went for a short swim). Thus, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in Australia, or any other country. Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always.
Somehow it’s been far too long since we’ve last done a giveaway. I seriously don’t know how, because I talk about it almost every month with the Clever Training crew, and then somehow it slips off my radar. Perhaps we just need more holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero6 Black, to a Suunto Spartan Ultra, to a random pair of socks, to the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (I.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, January 29th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I’d use the money towards a Garmin Fenix 5 because I don’t even have a running watch! Been doing it caveman style for too long
I’ll decide what to buy if/after I win. Some Clever Training browsing will be required.
I would like to get new Suunto Trainer watch, thank you.
Aarrgghhhh Shopping frenzy worse than training or not gimme gimme the voucher I’ll find a way to spend it, first a 10k to shed the thought

So many options, but I’d have to say the Fenix 5X, thanks!
I would get a Garmin Fenix 5.
I’d love to upgrade to the new Forerunner 935!!!
I would get a Go Pro Hero 6 Black so I can video my son as he is learning to mountain bike and getting better each time we go!
I would like to get a good pair of running shoes like the On Running Women’s Cloud X Active Shoe so that I can gradually get back into shape after having a baby.
Need to get smart on zwift so an upgrade from a dumb trainer to a KICKR Snap would be amazing!
Any smart turbo trainer. Not for me but for my younger brother – he’s studying in city with one of the worst air quality index in the country (Cracow), and have to avoid any activity outside due to pollution to maintain health. So quiet indoor trainer would be prioryty for him.
Garmin 935 or PM.
Garmin Vector 3, as i do not have any powermeter on my ride!!
The Suunto Spartan Ultra would be great :-)
I would buy a Garmin FR935
I would get the Vector 3 Power Meter. The reason why is because I want to improve on my training. I currently have no power meter and having structured Power Meter training would improve my speed!
Definitely a Garmin Watch bc I’m tired of running with my cell phone!
Garmin FR935 ore FR645
power to the pedal- P1 Baby.
Daddy needs a power meter – been lusting after the P1!
The new Forerunner with music would be my definite choice for this season
Need a new run/ tri watch. Either Fenix 5 or the new “Music -Garmin”
the Garmin Watch
I’d get a power tap G3 because I love my speed play pedals and I have shorter cranks so a hub based power meter would be great!
I’d like 2 items, one Garmin Move HR for me as a daily watch, and a Vivoactive 3 white for my wife, I know she’d love it!
I would like a Wahoo Bolt, or maybe Kickr.
PowerTap P1 or Garmin Vector 3
The Spartan Ultra Suunto! My current watch, Polar M400, doens’t work as it should do and I definitely need an upgrade! This Suunto would be awesome!
Regards!
Belgian triathlete Tobias

I need a tri watch, but I’m on the fence and can’t make up my mind between a Fenix 5 or a Spartan Ultra!
Tacx flux as my vortex died on me.
Some multi sport watch as I don’t currently have one :-)
Most likely a Garmin
Garmin Forerunner 645, who don’t like music?
Camera for underwater pictures…. GoPro
Garmin Edge 520
definitely need the Wahoo Kickr – I’ve got to upgrade my old CT as the wires and wheel-on technology ( or lack thereof) are driving me crazy
Thanks Ray!
Eric A
I could def use a new trainer
Probably get the dual leg upgrade for my watteam powerbeat or a smart trainer to up my trainerroad game.
It would have to be an action camera, gopro of virb, just because the local police are now accepting helmet cam footage to prosecute bad driving toward cyclist.
KICKR climb (because why not) or a new Garmin F5/FR (because my F3 is huuuuuuge)
Garmin Fenix 5 or Suunto Spartan Ultra to track road, cross, run, swim, hiking, … :-)
Hard choice.. think I’ll grab a Garmin Forerunner 645 with sweet music for my ears when running.
I’d get a FR 645 so that I could play with running dynamics that my 235 can’t handle (well, isn’t licensed for). Seeing power readings could be interesting too.
I think I would get a power meter to have some decent training rides before Paris Roubaix sportive
Garmin Vector 3, It’s portable.
Suunto Spartan Ultra because I am ready to graduate from marathons to ultras and the Spartan would be a huge training tool.
I’d like to put the $500 towards a Fenix 5. Thanks for running another giveaway!!!
It’s like Christmas all over! I would get a GoPro Hero 6 Black, or maybe use it as a “downpayment” on a Suunto Spartan Ultra Titanium.

Garmin Vector, would love to measure my power
Suunto Spartan Ultra for marathons

Probably one of those Stryd things!
Vector Power meter…because I need a power meter
Hmm, for now I’d say I want a FR645, but I’ll probably change my mind..
Garmin fenix 5, to upgrade from my fr220.
Would probably pick Garmin Vector 3. Not too many of those around yet. And, pedal power is kinda cool.
Would be the Scosche for me. Spending increasing amounts of time on the trainer and not a fan of sweaty chest strap anymore. :)
I would go for the Garmin 645
Garmin 935 to kickstart 2018
I’d love a GoPro or a Fenix 5 to better document my adventures!
Garmin Fenix 5 for me :)
I’d probably look to get a smart trainer, at this point any smart trainer would be cooler than my dumb magnetic one. I’d like to check out the Zwift bandwagon.
A single sided Power meter less that 500 USD – Garmin Vector, 4iii or Stages whatever – I will be very happy
Cheers
Vector 3 or Fenix 5.
I would use the credit to go towards the VIP membership and a new heart rate monitor. I’ve wanted a smart trainer for the longest time so any remaining credit would go towards a smart trainer.
Hi Ray! I currently have the Garmin Forerunner 920XT and I guess an update is due, to the 935 :)
One of Garmin watches would be great.
I would put the money toward a stages power meter or money toward a dual sided one!
Garmin Vivoactive 3, my current running watch is a Garmin 220 which is approaching retirement. Looking for a smart watch with good battery life and for running.
Buying a new bike soon and will need lots of accessories for it!
Garmin Virb
Kickr Climb for me
Suunto Spartan ultra to run PTL next year.
The Garmin with music
Maybe a gopro.
A smart trainer. Time to upgrade the basic one I’ve had for years.
Training by power with my Tacx Flow Smart has been incredible. Bringing power training outside would be even better. Garmin Vector would the top on my list if I won!
Forerunner 935 or 645 Music. I need a proper running watch because hoping that my phone makes it through long training runs without dying or restarting itself is really annoying.
New watch to replace old TomTom!
I would love the Garmin Vector 3 as I’m training for a ride in September and understanding power efforts as part of my training would help me improve and train more effectively.
