Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week. But more importantly, today is also Australia Day. I only know that because I’m in Australia, and the beaches are more crowded than the starting line of a marathon (still, I pretended to workout and went for a short swim). Thus, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in Australia, or any other country. Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always.
Somehow it’s been far too long since we’ve last done a giveaway. I seriously don’t know how, because I talk about it almost every month with the Clever Training crew, and then somehow it slips off my radar. Perhaps we just need more holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero6 Black, to a Suunto Spartan Ultra, to a random pair of socks, to the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (I.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, January 29th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I would use the credit to get a power meter because I don’t have one and all the cool kids do.
A Smartwatch, currently trying to get some more training done and a smart watch would really help with tracking and listing to music!
I’d buy a set of Garmin Vector 3s since I’m now a power addict due to receiving a Xmas Kickr.
Garmin V3 pedals, baby!
Would love to get my fingers in the GoPro Hero 6. Already have a Hero 5 session, but often need more battery juice. Also with the Hero 6 I can get more shots from different angles on the bike at the same time??

Garmin Vector 3 as don’t have a power meter yet
I will have 5 miles race tomorrow
With that I’d be able to afford a new trainer! Tacx flux maybe?
I would use it for a Garmin Forerunner 935, good for cycling and with the latest in running technology.
Tough choice. I’d love to pick up a set of Garmin Vector 3 power meter pedals, but my Fenix 2 is getting old, so a Fenix 5 would be welcome as well. Decisions, decisions…
I’d like to have a trainer. It’s so cold here
Hi Ray
If I won this giveaway I would get a Garmin 735xt as I hope to do a few short distance triathlons this year and it would be a nice upgrade from my 910xt.
Fénix 5! A dream!
Would love the new vector pedals.
Garmin vector3 power meter so I can train with power outdoors. Good luck to everyone!
If I was lucky enough to win I would buy a new Garmin Fenix 5 to replace the one that one of my kids somehow lost even though they’re never supposed to touch it. Oh well, parenting is tough!
I’ll pick a new Garmin watch when I win (positive thinking) as my FR 610 is sadly at the end of its days.
I’d get a Garmin 935 to upgrade from my beat up Garmin 220 on its last leg!
Probably a new head unit, or I’d use it to pay halfway to a set of powertap p1’s. I’ve been riding for over 5 years it’s about time I finally get a power meter.
The GoPro to document my journey to bring more awareness to Ankylosing Spondylitis by riding cycling events/raced. With my personal project ‘Riding with and for Ankylosing Spondylitis’
I would get the Garmin Vector 3 power meter. I’ve always wanted to train outdoors with power but don’t have the $$- teachers don’t make much in the U.S.. Fingers crossed!
Go Pro – for my buggy running wife :)
I’d get PowerPod, because I’m data freak and would love some extra data from my rides.
Time to upgrade Ambit3 to FF935.
If lucky either Garmin Vector or Garmin Action Cam. So either to improve power training or to capture the moment during sport.
Would love to upgrade my trainer to a smart trainer
Garmin fenix 5, so I could..
a) upgrade my prehistoric Garmin FR210

I think it would be a simple one sided power meter, not sure which, but I will figure with the sites help :)
Some power pedals I think
Definitely garmin vector 3, most versatile power meter for me. Take the training to the next level.
I’d love a GoPro Hero6 Black so that I can film parts of two of the toughest European sportives this year (Saddleback Fred Whitton Challenge and the Maratona dles Dolomites)…
The GoPro to document the beautiful gravel dirt bike trails in Sac Yolo and Lost and Found ride.
So many things I would want, but I’d definitely love to have a GoPro Hero6 Black.
I would go for a smart trainer!
Garmin Vector 3. I would like to start training so I get at least as good as my friends. It would be great to be able to keep up with them and possibly even be slightly faster!
I just upgraded my old tri bike to 11 spd and looking to add crank based power for this year’s training and racing. I would love to get a Quarq dfour!
Ohhh, i dont know. I only know what I want from the sport warch. Right now i am on garmin and love it and love their dashboard. I like the goal setting aspect and overall clean look. Like it even more then strava. Trouble is, my garmin has no gps, so i am looking for a price performance sport watch with gps and wrist hr and looong standby time. And here is the trouble!! Garmin low price watches with gps have a relative short work time when gps is on in compare to suunto sport and polar m430. I read on your site big praises of the suutno spartan training hr sensor and relative long gps work time. Polar has a nice dashboard and nice long work time with gps but that watch is toooo big for my wrist. My budget is around 200e. So i am stuck with my no gps garmin atm. I also love the fact of the suutno spartan trainer hr sensor that it also works in water. All I want has the Garmin fenix, but since i am not a pro 600€ is too much ! So on the end Id like 200€ Garmin fenix since it has loooong gps worktime, wrist hr, routing, hr sensor works underwater and i can stay on the garmin connect dashboard ! Id love to stay eith garmin but in the end i eill probably go for the suunto sparatan trainer……ahhhh. Thank for alm your helful reviews and tips! It helps a lot to compare the watches on yout site! Greetings!
I’m ready to upgrade my Garmin!
Definitely a Suunto Spartan to replace my ageing TomTom multisport which is giving up after 5 solid years
Something new ?
Hi Ray,
I would take the FR 935. I would like to offer it to a very special person
Would very much like to take an Ultegra 6800 crank power meter – Stages or Pioneer, I’m not fussy!
Vector 3! Because DCrainmaker is due to make training faster and harder :-)
I’ d like to have the Garmin vector pedals as this is missing in my gadget list
I’d love to try the Garmin Vectors. I love my current pedals but love the Garmin technology.
Probably a new crankset, might even upgrade it with a powermeter.
Oid ‘ave a camera to take pictures with……
I am eyeing the Garmin Fenix 5s to train for an upcoming marathon
I’d like to upgrade to SRAM e-tap shifting for my road bike

I’ll take a power meter it’s good to know watts during training sessions
I would opt for the GoPro – I’ve wanted one forever to capture our crazy awesome adventures (especially gravel cycling!). Thanks D.C. – I don’t buy any tech item without checking in with you first. Good luck everyone!
I’d likely purchase the new Garmin Vector 3 pedals : )

Garmin Fenix 5 to replace my Fenix 3
Probably get one of the higher end Garmin or Suunto watches, but if I win I’ll have to do some research on what watch.
I’ll probably get a Garmin watch, like 735 or 935xt. After a three year hiatus first from injury then from general laziness, I’m back in training and looking to complete my 8th marathon this year. Good luxk to everyone.
