Have some fun in the travel section.
I travel a fair bit, both for work and for fun. Here’s a bunch of random trip reports and daily trip-logs that I’ve put together and posted. I’ve sorted it all by world geography, in an attempt to make it easy to figure out where I’ve been.
My Photography Gear: The Cameras/Drones/Action Cams I Use Daily
The most common question I receive outside of the “what’s the best GPS watch for me” variant, are photography-esq based. So in efforts to combat the amount of emails I need to sort through on a daily basis, I’ve complied this “My Photography Gear” post for your curious minds (including drones & action cams!)! It’s a nice break from the day-to-day sports-tech talk, and I hope you get something out of it!

I’d get the Wahoo bolt, cause I’m annoyed by my edge 810 crashing in big rides
A new bike computer would be nice
Garmin cycling computer
Definitely the Garmin 3s. Getting used to riding with power in Zwift, makes me want to use the same metrics in the real world :)
Got to be the Garmin Vector 3 please…….keep me honest climbing the Wealden hills!
I’d put it towards a fenix 5 as i’m gonna need a monster battery if i’m gonna record that 100k’er at my pace!
GoPro. My life needs it :D
I would love to get a nice trainer to make those winter rides a little more interesting!
Would love to get a Quarq DZero.
Amazing what you’ve gone here over the years. Incredible resource.
Probably get a Garmin 935.
time for new Fenix
Fr935 for the new tri season pls.
Garmin Fenix 5S supports all my needs, in all different sports – and it fits perfectly on my thin wrist!
Garmin Vector 3! I think is time to train based on power….
Garmin 645 Music, for sure. Want to ditch the Shuffle at last.
I’ve been researching smart trainers for months now. Currently got a second hand Realaxiom wired. I’m hooked but I need more resistance and can’t afford an upgrade for a while. Would definitely use this prize to go toward a new KICKR or Direto! Love ur site even if I don’t win this is a good excuse to say thanks for ur great reviews.
A 935xt, bc it rocks!
I would like the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, I am testing the new Moxy monitor, to find the thresholds (Vt1 and Vt2) in field test. I have tested 20 runners and it works, as well checked with VO2 spirometry and the results were pretty simmilar.
So to continue with the adquisition of machines (we have already a tanita for the body fat and a chronojump for the jumps) we want to purchase a powermeter, if it is possible in the pedals, or even a trainer, to check the smo2 (muscle saturation) with the bike test.

thank you so much for your help from Mallorca.
Vector pedals!!
I’d pick a Garmin edge 1030 – to improve cycling training.
Would get the 645M to compliment my 35.
Definitely a GoPro… or a power meter, or a GoPro, gah decisions eh?
Hey there,
if I win I would probably like to get a new GoPro. But maybe it could also be a Powermeter from Garmin. I have one already, but just on one side…
Thanks a lot for your work. Excellent infos!!
Sascha
I’d probably pick the Garmin edge 1000 because it would be fun to have GPS right in front of me instead on in my jersey pocket.
I would get the cyclops magnus trainer so i can ride swift through the winter!
Garmin Vector power metre I think, never been able to measure power before so it would be great!
I’d probably get a Forerunner 645, even though I’m currently running a 935…
Forerunner 645 would be great!!!
I’d put it towards a new power meter, maybe Garmin Vector 3 or Quarq D-Zero
I’d get some vector 3s
I would love to upgrade the trainer to something smarter
I’d get a set of Garmin Vector 3S so I can train with power on the road when the spring finally arrives!
Weeeee GoPro6…snow adventures <3
I’m dying that Garmin Vector 3 Power Meter to go on a new frame!
I’d love a love an Elite Direto so I can train at the same time as the other half!
Rose gold Garmin Fenix – a thing beauty that I can’t justify spending my own money on!
I’d buy a new set of Power Meter … Probably Garmin Vector 3 ….. ;-)
Winning is the only way I could justify buying a Garmin Vector 3. They would round out my training tech.
I’d put it towards a crank-based powermeter, either a 4iiii or Pioneer model. I like the simple approach/install to get power info!
635 forerunner and pair of finis agility paddles OR 935 forerunner alone would be great!
Oh man I think I’d go either Fenix 5x or 935, I really like the idea of 24h hr monitoring.
get the latest and greatest vivoactive
time for a refresh of the gear – the Vector is looking like a good start!
I think I’d go for a new sleeping bag, which I was surprised to see they sell, and try some bike packing.
I’d love to get a Wahoo so I dont have to deal with my Garmin breaking every 5 minutes.
I’d like to get a Forerunner 935 or Fenix 5 if I won. I gave my girlfriend my old Forerunner 235 but she hates how the HR sensor sticks out so much and leaves a big mark on her arm. She tried on my 935 and has been envious ever since.
I’ll get the Garmin Vector 3 because I want to increase my training abilities and also dive into training statistics. Doing it currently on my Tacx Bushido but want to have the power outside too. And it needs to be changeable easily.
I’d get the Suunto Spartan Ultra – I love the color (and it’s time to try something new after 8 years of Garmin addiction)
Wahoo kickr climb (assuming it starts shipping soon) to make my indoor rides more enjoyable
I would get a Garmin 935, to upgrade my fenix 3
A new bike trainer please!
I would really like to try the garmin vector power meter to be able to train with power outside on my new ridley xtrail bike that will be ready in two weeks!
So much to choose from! I’d have to say it’d go toward the Garmin 3S Pedal Power Meter. I’ve been wanting a power meter for a while and I love Garmin products, but unfortunately the student budget prevents me from ever buying one. Having a gift certificate would be a good excuse to get myself a little gift
Probably a Stages LR for the gravel bike.
Would love the fenix 5… I loose my HR strap way too often with other watches!
Vector
Assioma Pedal Based Cycling Power Meter
For my wife because she needs a power meter
A Garmin 935 would be the perfect companion during spring time preparing for the half marathon in August!
I would like the Garmin Vector 3’s as they would help with my training towards my 2nd Triathlon, the Outlaw 70.3 in May.
I’d grab an Elemnt Bolt! I haven’t moved into the world of bike computers and would love to jump in
I would take the plunge on my first trainer purchase…and would finally be forced to decide between the Kickr Snap and the Cycleops Magnus!
I’d get a pair of vector 3s or a treadmill for brick workouts.
I’d like a forerunner or fenix. Maybe a GoPro. Or maybe a … too many choices!
Me gustaría la gopro 6 o él garmin vivo active 3
Fenix 5 to upgrade my old 910 and use as a daily watch as well.
Definitely a Forerunner 935, thanks for running this campaign.
I would definitely buy a Garmin watch with hr, although I would have to try on a few different models to be certain which on is the best fit. I have wanted one for a while as I have just began adventuring into running. Tracking my progress more accurately than my phone has been. Also to monitor REM sleep patterns is super interesting! As someone with occasional insomnia I believe this could help me in many ways.
I would get a GoPro hero6 for my 10 Year old son. He is a gymnast and wants ons for the slowmotion feature which shows where his technique needs to be perfected. And of course so he can use it on his mountainbike, ski helmet, in the pool, etc?
I would by a vector power meter. Would be nice to train with power
I would love the GoPro since I dont have a camera aside from my phone to document the next trip I’m going to make to Kenya and would love to have a nice memory… Although the Garmin Power Vector would also be nice…
Fenix 5, because I really need to get rid of my old Suunto.
A winter trainer would be awesome!
Coros OMNI helmet and a STAC Zero trainer, because music and snowmygod 2018.
Hi DC
If I win I’d love a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt as I cannot wait any longer for my Karoo.
New Garmin Edge…the old 800 is starting to misbehave. Thanks Ray.
Definitely ready for power meter base training. So garmin vector 3 for me. I’ve been debating if I should get a smart trainer like the kickr or pedal based power. Think pedal based would be better as I can use it outside or inside. My dumb trainer still works good so not yet time to upgrade.
Would love to get a Bolt to replace my old-school cycling computer!
A trainer! Soon to be a new dad, time will be precious ;)
I would definitely get a powermeter for my training most likely vector 3
I would get a bike computer or power meter, because I already have a FR935!
If I were to win, I guess I’d replace my 910xt, which is stuck at 10,000ft!
Would love to get a fenix 5 to replace my forerunner 620.
I could sure use a new Trainer as my CycleOps is on its last thread, but I would probably go for a Power Meter so I could train with he smart people.
Garmin Forerunner 935, i really need an upgrade as i’m training everyday and want to get to long distance trail running.
A smart trainer for Zwift would be great
Get FR 935, then I can be serious about full Ironman training.
Thinking about the Garmin 935 – my Fenix 3 went missing last week during a business trip to England.
A new Garmin training watch as my old one died and my husband finds it hilarious that his Garmin lasts weeks and my crappy Fitbit needs charging every day :(
Hello,
a Forerunner 935 would be great again to get rid of the old 305 finally!
Thx
I’d like to upgrade my trainer to something a wee bit smarter, a KICKR SNAP or Tacx Vortex Smart, the $500 would help!
I would put it toward a new trainer… been saving forever it seems ?
Hello,
I would get a Garmin Forerunnner 645 to upgrade to better training functionalities compared to my old Vivoactive.
Cheers
A Suunto trainer to replace my broken M200
I’d buy an Edge 520, perfect for chasing KOMs.
Garmin 935, need optical heart rate. While Apple got all the flack for batteries in older devices, Garmin deserves the same shame, as my Garmin Vivoactive is slowing down and not holding the charge by each firmware update and I learned the battery isn’t replaceable in their devices, told by Garmin, “just buy a new device.”
I would be getting the fenix 5. Would be a nice upgrade from my Garmin forerunner 610.
Garmin F5 – time to upgrade my F3HR :-)
Forerunner 645
To replaced my VHR
I need a new bike computer…
Garmin Fenix5 as my 910xt is officially dead!
I’m looking for a new watch, probably the Forerunner 935.
