Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week. But more importantly, today is also Australia Day. I only know that because I’m in Australia, and the beaches are more crowded than the starting line of a marathon (still, I pretended to workout and went for a short swim). Thus, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in Australia, or any other country. Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always.
Somehow it’s been far too long since we’ve last done a giveaway. I seriously don’t know how, because I talk about it almost every month with the Clever Training crew, and then somehow it slips off my radar. Perhaps we just need more holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero6 Black, to a Suunto Spartan Ultra, to a random pair of socks, to the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (I.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, January 29th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I’d get the Garmin 935 to help me with the training and see me through race days for all the marathons I have booked this year.
Tough call, but probably a new Garmin computer, mine is almost 10 years old now!
Would love to get myself a smart trainer! But I’m greatful for anything. Thanks for awesome work on the reviews over the years.
I’d get a Garmin Fenix 5. Having turned 40 just a few weeks ago and having lost two and a half stone through getting into running, cycling and triathlons. I’d use it to help me do the bigger distances! ???
Scosche’s Rhythm 24 and a 935xt… or a partial payment toward a smart trainer. Decisions, decisions.
I’d love a forerunner 935! I need the longest battery gps tri watch with a color screen and running power!
I would get a Garmin Vector 3 Power meter.
Garmin 520 because more bike toys are always a good choice!
I’d like a quarq DZero, that would be great.
I would use it toward an Elite Direto trainer. That is because I live north of Chicago and indoor training is necessary for so many weeks of the year. I would chose this trainer based on the reviews I have read here, subject to change after reading more reviews.
I have been looking at and wanting to get a wahoo kickr for a while, but just haven’t been able to pull the trigger. I would definitely go towards the kickr… So I’d have something record on my goPro!
The 935 would be great to up my running game.
KICKR Power to upgrade to a smart trainer and take full advantage of Zwift!
I’d put it towards a power meter for my outdoor rides for better informed rides.
I would go with the Garmin Vector 3 pedals; have been interested in going beyond my PowerPod, and I think the pedals fit my criteria best.
Wahoo Bolt or Forerunner 935 to upgrade my 910xt.
I’ve been wanting a Fenix for a couple of years now, so this would be the most perfect time to pick one up!
Got my eye on one of those go pro blacks!
The new garmin watch :)
Thanks!!!
I would get the go pro to get footage of my rides.
Whahoo Bolt love everything about it. Simple and works.
I would get a KICKR Snap! I am still using my non-smart CycleOps Fluid 2 and want to be able to use one of the Virtual Training programs everyone is raving about!
I’d put it towards a pair of Garmin Vector 3s. Been looking at a power meter for outside training for a while and they seem to be the best choice.
I’d get a pair of Scosche Rhythm heart rate monitors. One for me and one for the wife. how fun is that! His and Hers HRM!
Probably a GoPro to record how slow I am on the bike.
A GoPro HERO 6 Black would be nice. Thanks, Ray!
I would get the Garmin Vector 3 power meter. I have been waiting to start training with power and from your review those seems to be the way to go.
I’d flip a coin between a smart trainer or Garmin Vector pedals – either way I’d ride more or better!
Newton shoes & a Power meter- foot pod!
A trainer i would think!
I’d go for a GoPro. I love the idea of recording my adventures but a camera always seems to come after the need for bike parts which I never seem to run out of…
If I won the giveaway, I would use the money to buy a bike computer, most likely the Wahoo Elmnt Bolt, after reading the comparison review that you provided vs. the Garmin!
Garmin Vector 3 power meter, time for duel side power
I’d definitely go for a fenix 5s because who doesn’t love a healthy competition with your spouse for tracked steps, miles logged and best resting heart rate!
GoPro hero 6 for training/race footage. Time to get rid of the old Sony.
Garmin Felix watch or Vector pedals
Barely made it!
I’d take the Garmin Vector 3.
Garmin Vector for winter’s pain cave sessions.
I would like a new Garmin Vector 3 so that I can have proper power measurements, leading to improvements on the bike
New trainer for my wife. She is joining me in my endurance sport addiction.
A Garmin 520 or 820 so that I could use bestbikesplits from TrainerRoad on my next ironman to ensure I am hitting all my power numbers and can still actually run 42km when I get off the bike :)
I like random socks. Warm ones.
Garmin Vector 3 for sure! because more data is always better, right? :)
I would get a new Heart Rate Monitor because my current Mio Link is over 3 years old and the battery is starting to go.
Either the stryd or element optical hr I could also use Garmin swim HR or a set of nice wheels
I’m not sure exactly what I’d get, but the fenix5 is mighty tempting :)
I’d love a Garmin Fenix 5X! I’d still probably get lost, but maps might help me find my way home!
I’d get a newer Polar watch and heart rate strap, my M400 is getting a bit long in the tooth.
Quarq Power meter for my MTB bike because I’m doing Leadville 100 this year.
I would choose a power meter.
GoPro Heto 6 to create some nice workout memories.
An upgrade to my old Garmin 405
Power meter for me to improve my training

Defenetly the Fenix 5, to update my Fenix 3
The Fenix 6 ;-)
Garmin 935, 1000 or a smart trainer? Tough decision!
Garmin forerunner 935 or Garmin Vector 3.
I want GoPro Hero 6 to shoot my workouts!
I’d go the GoPro Hero 6 black to film the my family’s outdoor adventures!
I’d go for the Garmin Vector 3. Im gunning for serious 70.3 PR this year and looking to finally get power numbers out on the road!
Power meter
I would like to get new turbotrainer because it is winter now and I need to get fit for summer!
Gimbal for gopro
I would upgrade to a Garmin Fenix 5x I am still running with a 235 and really want to upgrade
Need. More. Power! Garmin Vector 3’s.
I’ve been eyeing the spark drone from DJI
Powertap single side power meter
I’d buy a Watteam POWERBEAT Dual as I’ve been trying to retrain my legs to cycle properly after a few years of constant minor injuries and learning and then training each leg to put equal amounts of power rather than favoring one leg more than the other. And … wasn’t the Tour Down Under awesome, Daryl Impey springing that plan on everyone else, plus I got to actually see Peter Sagan live for the first time :)
I would like to get the fenix 5 saphire!!!
Definitely something along the lines of a Forerunner 920XT/735XT/935 :)
Powertap pedals, because then I can race with power data at my fingertips.
I’d go for the FR645 Music, so I can test it and write my own DCR style review.
GoPro hero 6 cause I need an upgrade for my hero 3+.
Definitely the Vector. Every year I tell myself, “Self, this is the year you upgrade your game and start training with power.” Inevitably that voice gets drowned out by the other voice that says that my girls’ soccer and swimming teams need to take priority. So
Candy. Do they sell candy?
I would get a new trainer
I’d get the Garmin Fenix 5, mostly because I need to get fit and I want to track my progress. I’m sure it can keep me motivated and keep going. Thanks for all your efforts and reviews. Keep up the good work.
Probably the Hero6… And only because I don’t have an action cam.
I’d get vector3 pedals to avoid switching my p2m between bikes.
I’d love a Garmin Edge 1030! Never had a head unit, so let’s figure out what they are about. And world peace of course…
Scosche’s New Rhythm 24 Optical HR Band and the Garmin Forerunner 645. This is what I would love to win!
Definitely a power meter it’s the one thing my training is missing.
I think i would apply the 500$ toward a new powermeter as mine is already in its 5th season… and could hand down the old one to a teamate that dosent have one already!
Just got me a power meter and now I need a garmin 800 or a Wahoo element for the spring!
I would get a fenix 5. Really interested in trying this running power analysis
HR monitor
I’d get the new Garmin Forerunner 645 with MUSIC because I want to listen to podcasts on the run without lugging around my phone.
I’d get a power meter. For sure
I would get the Go Pro Hero 6. Last year December i started trying out trail races and it would be amazing to record some of the mountain races i have planned for this year. Thank you for the amazing giveaway.
Definitely the Vector 3 for me! Power has been on the want-to-have list for a while and with the changes from 2 to 3 the Garmin is my choice.
I would get my wife the new vivoactive. she needs an upgrade from the forerunner 220.
That Garmin Vector 3 Power Meter sure sounds nice. It would integrate with my Garmin 935, but I can’t justify buying is. Winning requires no justification.
Bret Upton
If I had won the $500 I would upgrade my watch to the Fenix 5x
I hope to win a trainer or stationary cycling so that I can cross train when I’m in injury mode.
Any Garmin watch!
Would love the new Garmin Fenix for all the latest glitzy awesome features. And if there is so cash left, the new scosche Rhythm heart rate monitor.
A power meter or a Smart Trainer.BR
Would pick up a kickr, been a pretty wet wet season in cairns so far
