Have some fun in the travel section.
I travel a fair bit, both for work and for fun. Here’s a bunch of random trip reports and daily trip-logs that I’ve put together and posted. I’ve sorted it all by world geography, in an attempt to make it easy to figure out where I’ve been.
My Photography Gear: The Cameras/Drones/Action Cams I Use Daily
The most common question I receive outside of the “what’s the best GPS watch for me” variant, are photography-esq based. So in efforts to combat the amount of emails I need to sort through on a daily basis, I’ve complied this “My Photography Gear” post for your curious minds (including drones & action cams!)! It’s a nice break from the day-to-day sports-tech talk, and I hope you get something out of it!

I’ve got so much training stuff after following all your recommendations over the years that a pair of socks sound like a great suggestion. :-)
Man, I need a new garmin. An Edge 1030 would look awfully nice on my bars!
I think i need a watch! 4 fulls, a few more halfs 10 milers etc and i still don’t own a watch!
Wahoo Kickr! Although my fluid trainer is great I really want a wheel off smart trainer.
New watch, cycling camera, or Varia
I would love to have a pair of random socks! You can never have enough of them, especially considering how many trainer rides I do in a week!
Stages power meter, to see how little I manage to put out, and start to improve.
I’d have to go with a garmin vectors 3. After getting power on the trainer it’s a must for the outdoors now!
Oh Man! The GoPro Fusion would be my pick. I’ve been shooting a lot of fat bike, TT bike videos to chronicle my “comeback” to Ironman. The idea of a 360 cam sounds amazing.
Garmin Vector 3…for the hubby!
I would put it toward a set of Vector 3 power meter. I’ve been training for 70.3 and IM for years without one. Would love to be able to better pace on the hills.
I’d like to get a new trainer, but more likely a new bike computer like a Garmin 520.
Oh, I’d love to get a FR 935
I would get the Garmin Vector 3
Garmin vector 3 or any pedal based power meter! Would love to train with power numbers!
A garmin watch to track my workouts!
I have been saving for a smart trainer (Wahoo Kickr). Winning would help :) Thanks for raffle!!!
I would upgrade to one of the Fenix 5 series watches. Tired of the Vivoactive HR.
I would get a Fenix 5 watch because I am currently tracking my runs with my Garmin 520.
GoPro to capture all sorts of fun winter sports.
A dji drone
I sure could use the Garmin vector three power meter to measure some big watts!
A new trainer to replace our dinosaur in the basement.
Garmin Vector 3. I need more power(and new pedals) ;p Plus some way of quantifying my power output.
I’d love a new GPS Computer. .. Wahoo? Garmin? Other options?
Perhaps use the credit for a smart trainer… decisions, decisions …
Probably GoPro maybe…
Fenix 5 to upgrade my ultrarunning game.
I am looking to get a new trainer in the next mo th or two so this giveaway is at a perfect time. My current trainer is pretty old and ready to be retired! Thanks for the giveaway Ray!
I would have a hard time choosing between garmin vector power meter and the black GoPro, my husband says I am too slow to make GoPro video look exciting lol
Edge 1030 because I get lost too easy and a 60 mile ride turns into 90 miles to easily…..
I would probable choose the Go Pro Hero because I’m the president of a triathlon club that could benefit from being filmed while swimming, biking and running as a way to improve our performance. We are a group of retired athletes who live in an active retirement community and are having a blast at being kids again. Today 7 of us drove to a river an hour away to swim 31/2 mile downstream swim. It was amazing and would have been awesome to filmed some of it!
Garmin Vector 3S! Because they aren’t available in my country so I need to get from elsewhere!
New trainer to work away the winter blues!
That Garmin Fenix 5 is going to be awesome!! Please! Please! Please!
I’d put this towards an aero wheel set for my gravel bike so that I can be faster when I’m taking it easy on gravel and dedicate OEM to a muddy tire that I’ll never use because I don’t want to get my pretty new bike dirty.
Need a new trainer for the cold NE winters
Since I live in the Netherlands, where it’s shitty weather 99% of the time, the Tacx Vortex Smart T2180 trainer would really come in handy!
Thanks!
I’d like Wahoo KICKR because my Tacx Vortex isn’t so great.
Would love to upgrade to a fenix 5 because I love the fenix 3 and have enjoyed using it as a daily watch
I’d love a set of vector 3 pedals. As I rotate regularly between my road bike and my Tri bike they’re obviously the easiest to change between bikes. I also love the quality and build of the Garmin products, my Fenix 3 and my edge 520 have never missed a beat and how they offer the pedals as a dual side upgrade.
Definitely a Fenix – just not sure which!
Even if it’s over the allotted price I would like to win some of the Garmin descent mark 1. For my husband who really wants one but can’t justify it.
i want a new electronic groupset, but CT dont have it
I would totally but the Garmin Vector!!!! That would be awesome!
Hmmm…I’d like a lot of things, gps watch, shoes, some camping gear or training clothes. Guess I’ll wait to see if I win.
Garmin Vector 3 for my very first power meter.
I’ll get the Garmin Vector Power Meter. I want to start training with power.
I’d get either a power meter or smart trainer. Both of mine need an upgrade
Garmin 935 to up my training
Edge 520, or some other cycling head unit; time for an upgrade.
Would take my first adventure into a Smart trainer and drop the winter lbs!
That would be a nice deposit on some Garmin Vector 3.
I’d put get a new bike computer, probably a Wahoo Element Bolt or a Garmin Edge 820. I’d like to upgrade my Edge 25.
having fec trainer would be nice
Garmin vector pedals! Im training for lake placid and worried about the hills!
My Polar M400 has been very good to me for over 3 years now. But I get the feeling that when it dies it’s just going to do it all at once. So I’ve been looking at Garmin Vivoactive 3 for a while now, and would love to have one!
Garmin 935 sounds great!
Thanks Ray!
Could use an updated smart trainer
I would love to win this and get an indoor bike trainer or the new Garmin 645 Music or a replacement for my Garmin Fenix 3 with a newer model…or all of the above!
I want a power meter so badly and the Garmin Vector pedals would be so sweet!!
I’d get the Garmin 935 as an upgrade to my 920 XT or a Suunto since I’ve been considering that brand a lot lately
I would give the credit to my wife who would probably buy a new trainer to add to our collection.
I would get a power meter, likely the Garmin Vector 3. Being able to train with power would help me to optimize my training time.
I need a new watch!
I would get a second smart trainer for my wife so we can ride together.
I really want to get the new scosche rhythm 24 as soon as it comes out. Been rowing on my Concept 2 this winter and my HR strap just broke so I am HR data-less!
A wahoo bolt because it may be the best bike computer out there.
GoPro Hero 6 would be awesome, so I dont have to bring my gimball out all the time.
I want (need!!!) the Fenix 5s to support my training and goal reaching…and because I can wear it at work and keep the excitement going!
Would make a great down payment on a new powermeter!
Towards a FR935, to step my watch game up from the FR235. It will make me better, right?!
I’d get a new Garmin Edge because mine is OLD!
I’ve got the old 800.
Probably a Garmin Edge or Forerunner because my current bike and run watches could really be upgraded.
Smart Traîner or a Power meter
A Wahoo Elemnt Bolt to replace my ailing Garmin would be nice.
I’d get the Tentsile Flite+ 2 person tree tent in order to start bike packing around the Eastern US and get some fun gravel riding in with my wife and her service dog. We’ve always had to travel within a distance of a dog friendly hotel which is restricting. Thanks for the chance!
I would buy me some of them power pedals. They provide power, right?
I would buy a Tacx Neo to help shed those holiday kilos!
Vivoactive 3 is good for me
I’d love a shot at power. All these years riding and no power data. Vectors would be quite nice.
Garmin 645 music and give it to friend to get him off carrying his iPhone – not cool running his first marathon with carrying a phone
I have been saving for a Garmin GPS watch forever now. Everytime when I think I finally have enough saved up, life happens (car needs new tires, unexpected medical bills…). I am running my first marathon this year so a Garmin would make me beyond happy.
The forerunner 645, small and powerful. The perfect health partner.
I’d buy Wahoo Elemnt Bolt and Garmin Vivoactive3.
I have Fenix3 which is solid watch, but I want to (1) measure resting heart rate (2) have a separate bike computer (3) continue to use Garmin for steps/weight/resting heart rate stuff. I am on a fence between Edge 520 and Elemnt Bolt and want to give Wahoo a chance.
Its been too long having a powermeter on just one bike. Looking for a Power2Max, its about the only crank based PM that I’ve found that I could have a chance of getting with 155mm cranks.
yummm, SPAM sandwich…..300 of those please…… but really, power meter or toward a smart trainer. Tired of riding Zwift and outside without reliable numbers/gauges to see how I am really improving.
Would love to used it to get Garmin Vector 3 power meter as I start to cycle seriously , knowing the exact power will help me train much better.
I’d go for the vector 3, I’m done with stages.
Thanks Ray. Would go for a power meter. Tri training in the winter could really use a power meter.
I want to get a vector, want to optimize my training with power parameter
Would love to have garmin vector 3 pedals in order to get dual sided power. My legs are likely unbalanced. Not sure if the pedals can fix my mental imbalance though.
Ply 12 CE and Fly6 CE. Because I have to deal with all the crazy angry distracted drivers in Southern California, but still love to get out and ride my bike!
A new Garmin edge and some mounts for a GoPro!
I will get a GoPro, because I lost mine yesterday. As I was riding on a bridge across the lake, hit another bumpy expansion joint (there are 36 of them!), my gopro mount broke and the camera flew away into the lake. It was a sad day.
I would replace my 920XT as it seems to be on its last legs. Thanks!
A new heart rate monitor strap for my garmin
A gift for my girlfriend (a new running watch).
I would pick up the vector 3 pedals. Thanks!
The Garmin 935, why? Because it would improve vs my vivoactive gen 1
Need to start running again and a Garmin watch will motivate.
