Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week. But more importantly, today is also Australia Day. I only know that because I’m in Australia, and the beaches are more crowded than the starting line of a marathon (still, I pretended to workout and went for a short swim). Thus, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in Australia, or any other country. Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always.
Somehow it’s been far too long since we’ve last done a giveaway. I seriously don’t know how, because I talk about it almost every month with the Clever Training crew, and then somehow it slips off my radar. Perhaps we just need more holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero6 Black, to a Suunto Spartan Ultra, to a random pair of socks, to the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (I.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, January 29th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

Hi Ray
It would be great to update my Garmin Forerunner 10 watch for something more up to date!
Ray C
Fenix 5 or FR645! I’m due for an update!
I’d probably get me a Garmin running watch and a heart rate meter. My Apple Watch has been a bit lacking in accuracy :/
A nice set of Assiomas, because last time I won something, it paid for half my bepros and it would make a nice tradition
I’d like the Suunto Spartan as my Ambit is getting old!
Thanks
For Giveaway, Garmin Vector 3, please.
On a separate note, has Paris flooding impacted you?
I’ve always wanted a GoPro, so now would be the perfect opportunity. :)
I think I’d update my dumb trainer and put the money towards a kicker or bro.
I would get a set of Vector 3 pedals because I’m not training with power yet and want to add that element to my workouts.
I would like a Scoche’s new rythme 24, to give it to one of my athletes who can’t use a HR strap.
Since I cancelled my Hammerhead Karoo order, I guess I’d have to go with an updated GPS. A Garmin 1030, maybe.
Hmmm. I’m not sure what I would get but it would probably be a new Garmin watch.
A new trainer- the travel trac century V has over 10k miles on it and a new one might be in order.
I’d get a Fenix 5S! It’d be a great training and hiking partner :) Thank you Ray!
Sadly recovering from the flu so a light weekend in store.
I know you select a winner at random (totally fair), but I like to think that by submitting a more “creative” entry, I up my chances (I know I don’t. Also, I’m not all that creative). With that in mind, I give you:
My Entry as Haiku:
Garmin Fenix 5,
I need your navigation
(to find my way home).
My Entry as Limerick:
I hope that my entry is charmin’
or at least that there isn’t much harm in
doing it this way
so I don’t have to pay
For a brand new Fenix, by Garmin
GoPro or Vector Pedals.
Thanks Ray!
I would buy a Hero6 with chest mount and either the Scosche Rhythm 24/new Wahoo tickr arm band to record and create kickass rowing montages when I get chased by water taxis down here in sunny south florida :)
Probably put this toward a power meter of some sort. Have the rest of the stuff I need.
I like to get the Wahoo Bike computer for navigation
I would like Garmin Vector 3 Power meter to measure my power and easily switch bikes.
Vector 3 Pedals – looking to use them at the local Gym on their bikes when i workout with my wife.
I’d get the Wahoo Tickr X – mainly to replace my old Garmin HR strap for my Fenix 3.
Vector 3 so can measure power for the first time
I would get wahoo element bolt. Thanks!
A new watch to be able to listen to music when training or maybe a GoPro because I always wanted one !
Been a love/hate relationship but it’s time I finally replace my 310xt.
Wahoo trainer, because i need something to mount to bars to display ride info.
I would get a garmin music 645 so finally can leave my iPhone @ home & still have beats to move my feets!
I really need a F5X !
GoPro 6 is my choice. Because I want to capture amazing videos and edit them as interesting super slow motion videos :) Good luck everyone…
I’d buy a power meter – though I’m torn a bit between the Faveros and Vector 3. Why? It’s the one tech piece I’m missing! I know, not a training reason first but it’s a reason as well obviously. Though i’m not sure if cycling dynamics is worth an additional $200, especially since I left garmin for Wahoo with my bike computer…
Go Pro Hero6
I just moved to a new area and the kids want to document all the adventures with the hikes and waterfalls. And I want to document all the new bike climbs I find.
I think I’d probably upgrade my Vivoactive HR to a newer Garmin that can do VO2max, etc. Have a good time down under!
I would like to get the new Vector 3 pedals to see how much watts I am developing.
Thank you
uhh nice, I would take a Edge 1030 (bundle)
Just found the weirdest Garmin thing at Clever: External Temperature Sensor. Really, who needs that?
I have been looking at the Garmin Ultra camera for while now.
Probably gonna go with a Fenix 5 or FR935 since it’s time for a tech upgrade!
Please send a Garmin Fenix 5. Thanks.
I would go for the stages 105 5800 left leg. It would be my first power meter. It’s a shame they don’t have any power2max ng eco available. That would be a no brainer.
Probably use it for a Garmin fenix
I’d most like select a Suunto watch. I love mine and would like to get one for my daughter.
I would probably use the credit and get a Garmin Forerunner 935 Running/Triathlon GPS Watch. My Vivoactive HR is acting very flakey turning itself off easily. thanks. -David
I would like to buy some Vector 3’s to increase my training data. It would really help my bike training.
Garmin Edge 1030 to figure out where I am going and maybe get lost a little less frequently!!
Happy Friday! I want to buy a Fenix 5 because it looks sooo sharp!
I could go for a nice new shiny Garmin 1030.
Love my 520, but the 1030 is at least 1.98x better.
Garmin 645. I want the music!! Of course by the time I get picked (which I won’t) I will have come to the realization I could just get headphones with storage built in
Thanks for the giveaway! I would use it towards a smart trainer so that I can get back in shape during the winter.
I’d get a running watch, probably the forerunner 935. My 630 has served me well, but won’t hold a charge for longer than 2 hours now.
Have been looking at cycling computer’s so either an Edge 820 or maybe a trainer now that we’re heading into winter down here.
Help! My stages power meter is giving me strange numbers (or I have made huge gains in my FTP without any hard core training…). I would love the garmin vector power meter!
Likely use it towards a smart trainer. That as I already have a power meter and would want to get most bang for buck.
I would get a Garmin Fenix, as you wrote that Android Wear 2.0 is dead!
Power, Power, Power! Yeah, it would be the Vector 3 for sure.
I’d put that credit towards a Garmin FR935. I am very happy with my 230 but want to go into longer events, which would also benefit from having a barometric altimeter.
Either a GoPro or a new Garmin watch, because why not.
Garmin 935 to replace my Fenix 3hr. I’d like to make the jump to the next Garmin level and get into the running pod and running data.
I would definitely get multiple pairs of running shoes. Because you can never have too many pairs in your rotation.
Garmin’s vector 3 would be a great choice !
I would definitely get myself the new forerunner 645music! It packs al of what I need in a sportswatch, looks great and fits my small childlike wrist perfectly.
The DCR personal swim float. No brainer.
Quarq DZero for my Gravel bike
It’s about time I joined the digital world, so I’d like to visit my friends in Watopia and get my hands on an Elite “Dorito!”
I’d get a powermeter – just to increase motivation…
I’d love to get the new GoPro
I think I would need to do some serious perusing of Clever Training, but my initial pick would be a GoPro Hero 6.
Garmin Vector 3 would be a nice replacement for my aging and now a bit flakey Stages power meter. Thanks
A Garmin Edge or a trainer are still on my shopping list
A GoPro hero6 black black because…why not?
Garmin Vector3 — because it’s time to measure power outdoors (and not just from the KICKR).
I’d use it towards the Fenix 5 to get some of the 24/7 HR monitoring love.
Varia bike lights for the new ride as it’s still dark out there on the northern hemisphere.
I’m thinking of a Garmin 645 to replace my old 210HR.
Tracx Neo…because I’ve been having a good time on Zwift, but just on a dumb-trainer.
Thanks Ray!
I would choose the Garmin FR 935 XT, because my old running watch, isn’t working anymore
Vector 3 Power Meter for sure! Don’t have any power meters and would love to geek out over more data!!!
I’d get a shiny new fenix5, bling bling!
Kickr ‘17 to replace my original kickr so I can get the climb – if it ever comes out.
I’d get a Wahoo Fitness KICKR CLIMB to compliment my KICKR.
A new Garmin 935 to replace my 230 would be nice!
i’d probably get a garmin fr935
GoPro Hero6 !
Would love to have one for fun
I’d probably get the Vector 3’s!
Garmin Vector 3’s for me as I’m really curious as to how little power I can put out on the bike and hopefully they’ll inspire me to work that little bit harder.
Thank you Ray! I would use it toward a PowerTap P1 power pedals. Training for my first ironman and need a power meter to train with.
What? Garmin FR, Why? I hope that will get me back training
Probably a Garmin 935 to replace a long in tooth 910. Thx!
I would purchase the Vector 3
I think it would be a GoPro Hero 6. Thanks Ray!
For me, it would definitely be the Vector 3…time for outdoor power.
To Ray. Fenix 5x, probably. Thank you.
I’d buy GARMIN vector 3 power meter because it will lift my training method!
Quarq dzero cos I need to go faster obvs.
Not sure as I already have a 935 and Vector 3’s
I would put this toward a Elite Direto or Powertap P1
In for win :)
Garmin Vector 3 would be my weapon of choice as I seem to have all gadgetry around but not the power meter yet.
Stages power meter XT. One of the few power meters available for mtb.
I would get a new Garmin watch as I broke mine when helping a friend that has a health incident while training.
A set of Cycliq lights would be great: it’s still pretty dark up here.
