Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week. But more importantly, today is also Australia Day. I only know that because I’m in Australia, and the beaches are more crowded than the starting line of a marathon (still, I pretended to workout and went for a short swim). Thus, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in Australia, or any other country. Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always.
Somehow it’s been far too long since we’ve last done a giveaway. I seriously don’t know how, because I talk about it almost every month with the Clever Training crew, and then somehow it slips off my radar. Perhaps we just need more holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero6 Black, to a Suunto Spartan Ultra, to a random pair of socks, to the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (I.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, January 29th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

Garmin Vector 3 as i dont have a power meter yet :-)
I am not certain when it will be available, but I am very interested in the new Garmin Forerunner 645 Music
Watteam Powerbeat or vector 3..
I would select a bike computer, preferable Garmin. Just invested in a power meter. Original idea was to read power on my watch but is not ideal during a bike ride.
A Shimano power meter is most intresting or a wahoo climb.
Tough choice between a 935, vector 3 or 1030… Hope I have to choose
Probably garmin edge 1030
Need a new watch…probably the Suunto Spartan Ultra
I’ve been trying to talk myself into buying a GoPro for awhile now.
Gopro so I can film my exploits
I would buy a new fenix 5
Would be happy to pick up a Fenix 5X for running and hiking.
My strongest friends all seem to have trainers, and I’ve had my eye on the Elite Direto for a while. It seems like the best blend of accuracy, durability, and affordability.
I would put the credit towards a forerunner 645 and a trainer. Thanks.
Thanks for the giveaway. Would like a Garmin 935. Thanks!
I would like to get a Garmin vector power meter… I need to upgrade my training.
Thanks for do this.
Garmin Vector 3 pedals would be my choice I think.
I’d get a power meter of some kind. (Probably the Garmin Vector 3 pedals), because who doesn’t need more expensive things to charge in order to get some more data to analyze after a ride?
Garmin Vector 3 Power meter for sure! Need to get some power on my roadie!
Looking to upgrade some trail gear
Would love a power meter (Vector 3) I could put on my bike!
Probably not available yet, but I’d like the Garmin 645 Music (black band).
It would be a tough decision between a 935 or the Fenix 5S in rose gold!
I’d use the $500 towards a Fenix 6 (when it’s released) because I’ve got ambitious open water swim plans that require an awesome GPS.
Also, when’s the DJI Mavic Air review coming? I’m going to pull the trigger, but I wanted an expert review first. :)
A Forerunner 935, to replace my aging Fenix 3…but I also *need* the vector 3s…difficult decision!
A power meter.
So hard to decide but I’m thinking smart trainer or a ton of accessories (tire, tubes, sunglasses, etc)
A Gopro Hero6 Black to record my road bike rides!
I’d go for a Wahoo Kickr Snap
I would get a Garmin Forerunner 645 Music to replace my Fenix 3, it would be useful to have something that supports the latest ConnectIQ. Thanks.
Really need a new set of wireless headphones and better swim gear.
Garmin Vector 3 pedals, been training all winter to power and want it for the road
A 4iiii crank for my spare bike for quality winter training!
I’d apply the credit towards an indoor trainer. I was hit by a truck while out riding Dec 19th and am recovering from a broken collarbone and voice box cartilage – so stuck indoors for the next several weeks.
A new garmin Watch! Maybe a garmin 735.
Probably a 935 as my fenix 3 is slowly dying. :(
Suunto Spartan Ultra to replace my current 230. As I start to move towards ultra-length races it would be nice to have something higher end with a great track record in that world.
A trainer, because I’m not in Australia…. ;-)
I’d like to win the Garmin Vector 3 Power Meter, as I’m really excited to train with power, but I simply cannot afford a power meter at this time.
Fenix 5x, I want the one with everything.
I would get a new Garmin Fenix. I had one and switched back to a forerunner, but that was a mistake.
I´d get a power meter or a new watch, as my old one is acting strange sometimes.
Fenix 5. Ready to upgrade from my Fenix 3.
Wahoo KICKR SNAP
A Wahoo Elemnt Bolt for my wife and an Oakley Aro 3 for me (if they ever become available).
I’m about due for a new Garmin. Fenix?
Forerunner 935, sleek, light, complete functions…
I would get the Elite Direto smart trainer – 12 months from now I am aiming to complete my first full distance ironman race and would use this to train through the winter. I need am accurate and quiet trainer so as not to wake the children, but I cannot afford a Kickr or Tacx Neo.
New Garmin Fenix 5s . . . or maybe the Vector pedals. Too many choices. Thanks for the giveaway.
Some type of power meter, probably.
I would like the Edge 520. I normally ride with my 920XT watch and it works will but it would be nice to view data without having to take my hand off the bike.
I’m most interested in Wahoo Bolt or Oakley radar sunglasses mine were crushed in a crash last session. Just now getting around to thinking about them. Funny thing my garmin also was smashed in the same crash
Would love to get the Stages Power Meter XT M8000 2017 for my mountain bike because 1gen is broken due to water ingress.
I will probably spent it on a power meter.
Garmin Vector 3. I’m shopping for a power meter, and I like the Vector 3.
A Hero6 Black to record my epic adventures….. or maybe random pair of socks?
Hola Ray, i want the Forerunner 935!!
Thanks!!
the givaway would be a great support fo my vector 3 pedal purchase because i want more detailed training data.
GoPro Hero 6. I live on the North Shore of Hawaii and I’d really be able to put this to good use getting some awesome shots in and out of the water. surf/swim/run/bike/hike/family/fun.
Hi Ray,
I would go for a watch in this order of priority:
– FR 645
– FR 935
– Fenix 5
Thanks!!!
I would like to get the new Vector 3 pedals
Winter here .. so an indoor trainer would be nice.
I’d get the Fenix5 because i have a FOMO by only having a Fenix3.
I would get a Garmin 645 Music.
I would go for the Garmin Vector 3 pedals for sure or the Cycleops P1 pedals. Nice to swap to different bikes!
GoPro in order to record some epic rides this year.
The Elite Direto would be my pick, but CT UK does not have it available, so that I will have to reconsider it and instead go for the 935.
Thanks in advance!
I need some new components … I’d get some eTap
Garmin Vector 3 because my Trek Madone deserves the best.
What a give-a-way! I would look into getting a GoPro Hero 6 and start recording some of my runs/rides.
I finally got my Favero Assioma’s this week from buying them in November during the VIP sale, so maybe a bike computer to supplement my 935 on outdoor rides?
The dji spark drone would be nice to have
ower trainer – to track my progress
Tough decision. I think I would either get the Garmin 935 forerunner or one of the new Suunto watches. I have had good experience with the Ambit I currently have but would love an upgrade.
If I won I’d get a Fenix 5X to replace my Fenix 3 Sapphire. I want the upgraded features of the 5X not to mention the mapping for hikes.
Garmin Vector 3 please!
I’d love to grab a Edge 520 – my Edge 500 is *finally* starting to die…
It will be incredible to juse the Wahoo Elemnt on our great trails at Germany :)
Hi Ray! I would get a the Vector 3 so I can start training by power and improve my cycling skills!
Thanks!
I want a trainer, I haven’t decided which one yet, but a trainer for sure.
A gopro would be nice. ??????
Well, that could be a deposit for eTap, since Im currently looking for a new bike
I would get a Garmin Fenix watch so that I could test my watchfaces on a real device. Several people have been pointing out that the 1hz HR function isn’t working. It works in simulation, but without a Fenix device, I can’t debug it directly.
I’d put it towards a GoPro Fusion – love the filming options!
I’d get Garmin vector 3 to replace virtual power on Trainerroad!
I’d get a power meter. That would compete my new bike setup!
I would get some vector 3’s!
Probably a Fenix 5X.
I’m leaning towards putting it towards a power meter because it is the last piece of the puzzle for my bike, but maybe I’d go crazy and just buy $500 worth of gels.
I would probably have to go with a power-meter (likely the power2max chainring). I’ve been using the Elite Direto (Christmas present) and following a structured plan and have felt so much better on rides. I’d like to continue the plan once it is warm enough to ride outside. Hence….my need for a power meter. That or some Zipps. I wanna go fast(er).
Well I would end up being boring and picking up a Fenix 5. These days, I’ve switched to using my phone, as my old watch doesn’t fit in a world where I want something for running, hiking, nordic and downhill skiing and cylcing! Chance that I may change my mind and go Suunto, but it’s hard to understand which one would be best.
I would love to have a new Garmin Forerunner.
Hi Ray,
Have fun in Australia,
I would get a Quarq Dzero power meter.
Cheers
Ooh a Garmin 935 probably !
Thanks for this opportunity! Will be interested to upgrade my Garmin Edge 25 by an Edge 820 to put some colors on my ride!
I would get a Garmin Fenix 5 to record my mtb rides around my home.
I would get the Vector 3 pedals… cause then I’d have to get more accessories for it. Like a new bike!
I would get a new power meter, so I can power more than one bike.
Hmm, might be time to go for FR 645.
Hmm, I’d have to choose between the Garmin 935 and a smart trainer (or part of one at least…)
