Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week. But more importantly, today is also Australia Day. I only know that because I’m in Australia, and the beaches are more crowded than the starting line of a marathon (still, I pretended to workout and went for a short swim). Thus, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in Australia, or any other country. Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always.
Somehow it’s been far too long since we’ve last done a giveaway. I seriously don’t know how, because I talk about it almost every month with the Clever Training crew, and then somehow it slips off my radar. Perhaps we just need more holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero6 Black, to a Suunto Spartan Ultra, to a random pair of socks, to the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (I.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, January 29th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

GoPro Hero 6 or another action cam
I would get the ‘simple’ mount on the front of your bike power meter.
I new smart trainer. Been on a “dumb” trainer too long.
I’d love to get the Garmin Edge 1030. I’ve been using my watch for the past few years and it would be awesome to have easily accessible info. Thanks Ray!
Not sure what I want now, but pretty sure I will find something :)
Hummm… is CleverTraining selling DJI drones?
I would get the new Forerunner 645 because while I love my 235, but really wish I had music. I also would really like the updated optical heart rate + metrics.
I would get smart trainer because its currently too cold to bike!
Another GoPro would be fantastic
I would get the Garmin Fenix 5 because I need to replace my broken Fenix 2.
I’d get the Trax Neo…a little pricy as it stands but with a $500 gift card would definitely help with that so I’d finally upgrade!!
Would love a Garmin watch! Maybe the 935? My current setup is still an old Timex.
Wahoo Bolt- need a computer for my bike!
Gopro hero6 to capture some awesome up coming vacation moments.
Maybe a new garmin watch or Vector pedals!
I would get a new watch. The one I have is getting old.
Would love to check out one of the new garmin music watches
I would live the Vector 3 pedals as I am training for my first Triathlon this Spring
I’d go for the Garmin 935. Love the idea of the training load metrics!
A Wahoo Elemnt for my wife who really needs a far far better bike computer than the old wired won she insists on keeping.
A bike trainer!
I like the go pro please, so that I can record my runs and people that almost hit me while they sit in their cars, when I run in -20 Celsius on the side of the road because everywhere its snow covered LOL and I wouldn’t be able to keep up with my desired pace.
Just to be clear, most people make room and are nice. Some honk at you with frustration while others don’t even see you (wearing a safety vest with an orange jacket) and almost drive over you.
The joys of running in Canada in the winter. :-)
Thanks! I would buy Fenix 5, my vivoactive hr lacks navigation features
I’d finally snag a gopro hero or session to use for commuting in the hellscape that is Boston.
Thanks for the giveaway Ray!
I would love a fenix 3
I would put it toward p1 pedals. Power me up!
Always wanted a GoPro to film my races
I’d get the forthcoming KickR Climb. I’d love something to help kid up the indoor sessions!
Vector 3 S’il vous plaît
I would buy a new sport watch, like Suunto Spartan Ultra beouse I would like to replace my old watch.
I would like to have Suunto Spartan Sport WHR Baro Stealth. Sad there is no outdoor version of Trainer with barometer. Thanks.
Garmin Vector 3 – b/c I really want a power meter
GoPro Hero 6 Black… or Wahoo KICKR SNAP. Depend on whether my wife has a say :)
A Hero6 Black mon amie
Might be tempted to try out Garmin 935 like this – “risk free” :D
Garmin Fenix 5!
I’d probably upgrade my 4iiii single sided power meter to a double sided so that I can’t cheat by leaning to my left when I want more watts :P
Oh I’d like to get Garmin Vector 3 Power Meter, or if I am really so lucky, a trainer? Please.
Probably towards a new power meter. But who knows.
I’d like to upgrade my GPS running watch and get some swimming metrics!
I would like to grab the Garmin Decent!
A giveaway, always nice!
I’d get myself a Garmin Fenix 5 or Forerunner 935, since I’m in desperate need of some basic navigational functions on my trail runs.
Have a great weekend!
Well, with my Polar I run over 2000 miles, so it’s time to Garmin Fenix 5 maybe?
Hi Ray,
I think I’d like to use the credit towards a Garmin Edge 1030 gps unit. I’m currently a happy user of a Garmin 705, but my eyesight isn’t quite what it used to be and the larger screen size would be nice. Also the awesome new features would be nice as well.
Thanks for being,
-Jimbo
Gahh! there’s no way to decide. My Fenix 3HR works just fine, but something smaller and sleeker like a F5 would be nice on the wrist. Or some Vector3 pedals. And throw in one of them new Scosche’s.
I’d hold out for the new Garmin 645.
I would get a new bit of tech for my bike – power is lacking in my training.
I would get a Fenix 5 so that I can give my Fenix 3 to my brother
I would take a powermeter to become faster some day ;-)
It’s high time for me to get myself a power meter!
I’d get a new GPS device for the bike. My first gen Garmin Edge is not as reliable as it used to be. Thanks Ray!
FR 935. I need to get out of my Polar, as it is so aged and gross. Bring me to the Garmin Fold!
I’m looking to upgrade my running watch, so probably put it toward a Suunto Spartan HR Barro or Garmin Forerunner 645.
Awesome! I would probably get a power meter or a trainer.
I want to get 6 vivofit 4 for my staff at work to promote some fun fitness!!
I’d get some various stuff, like a watch..
My fenix2 is about to die, would love to get a new fenix5
Would love to finally be able to train with power, so Vector 3 for me!
Probably the 645, but maybe put it towards the Vector 3 or maybe the Kickr climb (if they’d let me!)
Fenix 5 – that $500 would get me most of the way there :)
I just bought a Minoura Kagura, and would look at going back to a Garmin GPS, the Edge 520 to complement it. Currently using a Polar m450.
My 920XT is misbehaving so i’ll say a 935 is top of the list at the moment. Or a Direto. Or Vector 3s. Or a decisiveness generator.
$500 for the newest Garmin Fenix – fully loaded. Time to move on up from my Fenix 3.
Go Pro
A Garmin watch.
A trainer would be nice, thanks!
Would slap a GoPro Hero 6 on the kid as he’s shredding the piste here in the Alps and then share those vids with Grandma, she lives stateside. Wizard!
I’d get a home trainer because the weather is too shitty in Paris to ride outside!
I would get a couple vivoactive 3s for the wife and I so we could track our fitness better. Thanks!
A new forerunner because my ancient one takes ages to get satellite locations.
A set of Vector 3’s would look really nice and would help with my HIM training.
I would put it towards a Garmin Fenix 5S or a power meter for the bike when I’m off trainer!
I think I’m leaning towards a Hero 6.
Hmm, payoff crashing below $0.40! (500/2190)
I would get the Garmin Vector pedals. My Stages is a bit long in the tooth, and a bit one-sided as well :-)
I’m about to move from 4.3 miles from work to 25. No more running to work each day, I’ll have to bike. For this reason I would buy a nice bike GPS thing like the Edge 800. Haven’t really had to think about that until recently so I’m not sure what’s out there.
I will get my girlfriend a new Forerunner
Kid in a candy store. Will have to decide when I win.
Definitely Wahoo Fitness KICKR SNAP!!!
Had partial colectomy for cancer last year found from 2 years of bad anemia that stopped my running.
Am training for a Sprint and getting into the Triathlon scene. Finally getting to 10 km distances on runs and getting better…
A crank or pedal based power meter. Currently have a Powertap Aluminum wheel but would like to upgrade to a aero wheel
A Garmin Vector 3 Please. I only know what my left leg is doing currently.
I think i’d use that towards a Wahoo Kickr
I would get Garmin Vector 3 pedals, need more power!
I would get Fenix5 to replace my ageing Ambit2 (which can run for only 6 hrs, barely enough for half IM, and I wish to to do a full IM sometime in the near future).
I’d use the GoPro. I had the very first version and I’ve been eyeing an upgrade for some time!
A GoPro6. I’d like shooting video.
Like many others, I’d jump at the chance to upgrade to some Vector 3s…
I will get a power meter, likely Vector 3!
Daddy needs a new Garmin!
Such a tough call! I think I’d either get a GoPro (because I still don’t have one) or a pair of Garmin pedals to get into the power game when I’m not on the indoor trainer as well.
I’d get the Garmin inReach Explorer plus. Just finished a wilderness first responder course, and having the ability to call for evac is so key.
GoPro Hero 6 for my upcoming ski trip.
garmin 935 for me please for fell running with tempe support
I just might have to upgrade to the Fenix5 – awfully tempting.
Humm ! A power meter would be great.
I’d get my travel writer/cyclist girlfriend a GoPro Hero 6 to supplement her blog with video. Plus that would give me an excuse to get a drone! Thanks!
Garmin Vector 3 power meter, because I would love to see how much I’m suffering when there is a killer headwind on my commute home.
An action cam in time for the summer please.
I would love the spartan Ultra. My Garmin 910xt has seen better days.
He cool Ray the Garmin Vector 3 power meter for me :-)
Varia Vision!
Id put it towards some Garmin vector 3s as I can switch between bikes easy
