Back I. The late ’90s and early 2000s, the Polar Xtrainer was my go to watch. I’m wearing it in every photo of my self I come across from back then. But since Garmin introduced their Forerunner line starting with the 101 and 201, I have owned nothing but Garmin multisport watches. It’s not that I’m loyal to the brand, it’s just that every time I try something else, it doesn’t even come close to filling the gaps left by my trusty Garmin. Throughout the years, I’ve owned the FR 201, 305, 310XT, FR 405, FR 210, 220, 410XT, 610, 620, Fenix 2, Fenix 3, 735XT and currently the FR 935. I was really looking forward to getting the Fenix 5, but Garmin blindsided me with the 935. I loved the size of the 735xt, but I thought the Fenix 3 had much better software. With the FR 935, Garmin managed to take all the goodness of the Fenix 3 HR and package it in nearly the size and weight of the 735XT. Add BLTE sensor support along with ANT+, and Garmin ended up making the perfect sports watch. Nothing comes close. Thanks
