Well the weekend has passed and I managed two runs, a 3 mile run in Oklahoma City along their riverwalk area on Saturday and a 3.5 mile run in Albuquerque around the University of New Mexico campus. Nice easy weekend… Thanks again for the chance Ray!

I celebrated my birthday with a bike tour accompanied by my lovely wife.
I had my comeback race! 10km, and slow (1:07:00), but my first race in over 2 ½ years after taking a long break from running due to illness. Starting again has been really difficult, but it’s amazing, and I definitely appreciate it a lot more!

Being as I’m stuck in Northern Alaska, my adventure will consist of running on an indoor track followed by a long sauna session. Summer can’t come soon enough!
I have a new coach with very intense workouts, and perceived effort is very big for her. My activities this weekend were a brick on Saturday, and a Zone 2 run on Sunday. The Brick run was for bounds up a hill and jogging back down, and at the 1 hour mark of the Sunday Zone 2 run, I was to do butt-kicks, high knees and grapevines. She’s pretty intense.
