Made my girlfriend breakfast and in the process missed parkrun so went to the track and did a 5k time trial and knocked over a minute off my PB to record an 18:08. Sunday’s long run in the park was sunny but strenuous!

without any plans for this weekend I managed to do a mountain bike ride with my dad, brother and uncle on Friday AND went spontaneous for a 21km run because on kilometer 12 it was going that great on Sunday :)

As usual on Sundays I’ll be running along side my kids when they go mountain biking. They are 6 and 7 so the pace is rather moderate. On the plus side, it’s a very natural interval workout, stopping and helping them up hill as well as trying to catch up while going down hill.

Did a shorter run barefoot just for fun on Saturday and a scheduled long run on Sunday.
This weekend was spent putting on a local triathlon for my club. It went great, so we celebrated with a beach BBQ, few beers, and lots of laughs. We also had a couple of members bring along their stand up paddle boards, so we all had a go at that. So much fun. What a workout, and much harder than it looks.
All in all, a pretty much perfect weekend.
