Normally I’d be going for an hour of intervals and then a 2 hour zone 2 paddle, but instead I’m “stuck” on a cruise ship on the Rhine.

I had and amazing weather induced weekend, its finally summer. On Saturday i started with a 20 km trail run followed by a 104 km bike ride, Yesterday was garden work day, but i managed to squeeze in a 25 km of bike intervalls
After getting married 2 weeks ago it was back on the bike again. A 80km rode on Saturday followed by a 100km ride on Sunday. Life is good in Cape Town. Thank you to my wife , Bonita, for allowing me to go outside again.

I did a bike ride to Mt Hamilton via Quimby Road that ended up with me getting heat exhaustion and walking the last 2 miles to the summit! After hanging out for an hour or so I recovered and the ride back was all good.
Continuing my training for my first ultra. Actually had to cancel a run today because of a cold and weird glute pain. Aiming for a 30 km run in a couple weeks ;)
I hope this is a random drawing – because my adventures don’t seek far off places or glory, I’ll be riding my trainer this weekend :)

I had planned a 10 miler and a 20 miler off road. Time got hte better of me and could only get out for a 10 miler each day. Bring on next weekend.

Managed to get out for a walk with the dog and baby on Saturday and Sunday managed a 4.5km run (only started running 3 weeks ago) with the dog – managed to lose 2 kg in weight as well.
Had 2 cycle rounds. 1 with mates and 1 with my GF. :)
Ramped up bike training for IM #7 with 100 mile ride Saturday (getting beat by kids 45 years younger than me) at TOSRV as prep to even longer rides over the summer

On Saturday I did an easy run of 17 km. On Sunday I was beaten down by the kids so it was a rest day.
I went for a short 8km run in the Chřiby hills, one stage of the Inov-8.(cz-sk) TrailTour serie.
This week end is a slow an easy training as I’m try to recover from my marathon ;)

I did a circuit workout alone, and then did another circuit workout with a new friend found in a Muay Thai class!

Nothing very strenuous sadly – but very time consuming. Over 4 hours of physiotherapy exercises to try to recover from a herniated disc so I get get back out running on trails asap. Would love a new device to make me even more excited about finally getting back out, once I am healed.

Was a bit sick, so no workouts on this weekend. But I’m almost recovered and will restart with swimming.
So far this weekend I have been doing climbing runs – 11 km with 1100 m elevation gain – each day.

Did a 54 km bike race to the bike center of famous Belgian cyclocrosses Sven Nys as preparation to another 78 km bikerace thursday (predicted 27°C) followed by the 20 kms of Bruxelles on sunday (predicted 30°)! Sufferfest… and it’s only monday…
I finished my very first marathon in Copenhagen. A great experience. Definitely not the last marathon I will run.
Weekend was fun. Paced the 60 mins bus at TCS world 10k Bangalore Open 10k category. It was an enriching experience. Real high was so many people hugging you at the finish line for helping them get their PBs :)
