It’s March already. Which means that for many in the Northern Hemisphere you’re likely starting to increase the mileage and times of your workouts in preparation for the spring and summer ahead. As such, there’s likely no better time to up your training game with some new gadgets. Thus, I’m here to give you the power. Or rather, my partner in giveaway crime Clever Training is. I’m just like the guy calling you to tell you that you won the sweepstakes.
In any case….
As of a few weeks ago, Clever Training now stocks Stages power meters. So they’ll be giving the winner a free Stages power meter of their choice. As for the crank flavor: Carbon, aluminum, cookie-dough..whatever floats your boat…it’s yours. Hell – I’ll even say that you can pick up the entire crankset if you want. Hopefully, the CT folks won’t mind, because I’m writing this late and had a few too many glasses of wine to bother calling them. You can thank me later…or now.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of your cycling plans for the weekend (or, if you enter in on Monday, what you cycled over the weekend).
Note that if you partied in a hot-tub at a ski resort instead of cycling this weekend, that’s fully acceptable. I’m 100% on your side. Obviously though, simply detail that activity instead as your response.
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, March 6th, 2017 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

Saturday will be the last prep club race to get ready for the national crits season in the Netherlands, with a simple recovery ride on Sunday.
Actually it’s an off weekend from cycling. I’ve got a couple of long runs planned though due to some travel for work.
Skiing this weekend. During the winter, cycling only happens on weekdays
Hopefully get a hard hour in … and family stuff plus an airshow !
I will be doing more running than cycling, but I will at least have a few recovery rides and maybe some cadence drills on the trainer if there is time.
I will be resting my hurt knee.
Maybe a quick 40k round
Probably just zwift’in because of the weather prediction. Maybe some indoor speed skating.
Sydney is pouring. I’ll be on Zwift.
Since this week is a rest week I only have a 4 hour easy ride to get done on Saturday. Stoked! I wish I was partying in a hot tub rather.
Planned long sunday ride for me
Hopefully the time will get better and I will be able to ride outside, otherwise it will be rollers for me.
Bike firmly planted on trainer for Trainerroad workouts.
Watching strade bianche while riding my bike on my trainer.
I’ve got a 200km Audax on Saturday; it’ll probably be raining for most of it but it allows me to eat pizza afterwards without feeling too guilty.
Track bike intervals, then making some beer. No doubt drinking some beer too, to offset the former.
I’ll be getting back on the road bike instead of just the commuter – first time this year and start of a big bike block!
Nothing! I’ll be resting this weekend. :(
I’ll be fettling/cleaning the bike ready for the new communting season
Going for some cyclocross on Sunday! Enjoiying the not so cold weather in Germany :)
Commute Friday, ride around town Sat/Sun.
It’s rest week so a short ride and run Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
It looks like it is going to a very rainy weekend in Copenhagen, Denmark, so the bike will likely stay in the garage, and I will take a long run instead in preparation of Paris Marathon in April.
Workout plan with trainerroad saturday, then hopefully get out to mtb on sunday
Cycling indoors on tacx and watching biathlon on TV..
Casual ride with my wife.
A couple of Trainer Road sessions, and a few miles outside with my kids.
Cycling will be limited to commuting to parkrun I think. Long run on Sunday
Chicago weather is calling the shots: trainer session on Saturday, out with the guys for a spin on Sunday
Have a marathon on Sunday. So will do a short, easy ride on Zwift tomorrow (Saturday) to get my blood flowing.
This week I changed out my tires, did some small maintenance and cleaning on the bike all in hopes to get out for a nice Sunday morning ride. Saturday I am hoping to just take the kids out for a nice easy run.
My usual 3 hours of pain…
I plan to “cross-train” a bit by running 25km on Saturday, and maybe another 20-30km on Sunday. I might also cycle the 40km from home to check out a 20mi running course for a race in a few weeks. Ok, you got me, I’m actually a runner. But I do cycle occasionally!
MTB riding on sunday. And with the rain over the last week i quess it will be more like taking a mud bath instead of riding :-)
I ride for 60 km with my Brompton for prepare a Stelvio day
Suffering a minor running injury, so going for a 2 and a 4 hour ride over the course of the weekend!

Saturday after my morning running race I will take 60km on road bike afternoon. Sunday seems to be a bad weather so I will do bike on trainers.

My cycling plans for the Weekend are to train my HR with some series session on Saturday.
Sunday I plan to climb one of the hardest climbs in Lisbon – Portugal
Living in an area that is still experiencing winter weather, my cycle plans are a couple of hours of snowy fat bike riding on Sunday, just for fun.
This weekend, unfortunately, between kids’ soccer games and home renovation, I MIGHT get a 30 minute session on the dumb trainer (can’t afford the smart ones). If I do, I plan on working on low-cadence hill climbing to prepare for the Garret County Gran Fondo (the hills there are too steep for high cadence climbing).
Fat biking in the last of the snow for the year (then back to the trainer)
I have been sponsored by a charity to teach in Cape Town University for two weeks. Luckily I brought a bike. This weekend I will ride with a local doctor along the coast of Cape town in preparation for next weekends Cape Tour. No body told me he was an ex pro cyclist with a local team until yesterday! I expect to get my legs ripped off but at least I have a week to recover before the biggest mass participation cycle event in the world.
First grandfondo on sight, so training hard. A new power meter would be handy.
Saturday the first organised bicycle tour. 70k. In the afternoon I’ll watch strade Bianche.

It’s going to be sub freezing again this weekend. Hour or 2 on the trainer for me.

I pulled my calf bad, so I’m not cycling or running anywhere for a while!
Snow has melted and I may go outside on Saturday although I will miss Zwift and may just stay indoors.
Netflix and Trainer riding. Probably a 2 to 3 hour trainer session very early on Saturday morning. Then a quick hour trainer ride on Sunday before a trail run.
