It’s March already. Which means that for many in the Northern Hemisphere you’re likely starting to increase the mileage and times of your workouts in preparation for the spring and summer ahead. As such, there’s likely no better time to up your training game with some new gadgets. Thus, I’m here to give you the power. Or rather, my partner in giveaway crime Clever Training is. I’m just like the guy calling you to tell you that you won the sweepstakes.
In any case….
As of a few weeks ago, Clever Training now stocks Stages power meters. So they’ll be giving the winner a free Stages power meter of their choice. As for the crank flavor: Carbon, aluminum, cookie-dough..whatever floats your boat…it’s yours. Hell – I’ll even say that you can pick up the entire crankset if you want. Hopefully, the CT folks won’t mind, because I’m writing this late and had a few too many glasses of wine to bother calling them. You can thank me later…or now.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of your cycling plans for the weekend (or, if you enter in on Monday, what you cycled over the weekend).
Note that if you partied in a hot-tub at a ski resort instead of cycling this weekend, that’s fully acceptable. I’m 100% on your side. Obviously though, simply detail that activity instead as your response.
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, March 6th, 2017 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

3hr cycle to the Forest of Dean! Wahoo!
Probably no cycling (or any training) due to a horrible mancold…
awesome give-away!
I’m riding my local mtb trail this weekend plus I read about the release of a new Volcano Climb in Zwift so I’m gonna have to check that out as well :)

Probably just a half an hour ride on the Tacx, and hopefully a 5K run on Sunday.
Spring is finally here, so saying goodbye to the indoor trainer & sweat cave! It’s time to start the motorbike as well!
As weather is bound to improve – I will go looking for a new bike during the weekend. Would be nice to have sensors to put on it!
I’ll be doing a couple of Sufferfest workouts inside. Still snowing..
Still to much winter and snow in Norway. Luckily for me Zwift saves the day and I will ride the watopia instead, waiting for spring =)
Going to do some hill repeats up Norton Summit South Australia, then on Sunday doing a flat TT around the neighborhood.
Unfortunately I have a full weekend ahead, not sports related, but I hope to squeeze in a 50K Zwift session.
Still waiting for nicer weather so just gonna commute back home today and maybe a spinning class during the weekend.
Long ride on the turbo on Friday and a VO2 Max session on Sunday for me
I will be putting in three sessions on Zwift, with hopefully a longer endurance ride on sunday.
still not sure whether I go for the bike/run combo or test the new tires in the mud on the other bike.
One day is reserved for running, 10k and 21k races ahead.
Looking rainy, so donning the Gabba to ride a lumpy 50k on Saturday morning!
Trying to fix my bike after getting knocked off it a few weeks ago ?
I’ll be cruising at the Athenian riviera to cape Sounio which is one of the best cycle routes in the world, if you like sunshine and sea while you cycle
Back on the bike after a long layoff. Low expectations. Just to get out and enjoy.
Session on sat in zwift
My plane for weekend, 100km ride.
Totally want this!
I am on Gran Canaria at a road cycling camp —beautiful weather, super tough climbing !
Rode Tauropass and to summit of Picos de las Nieves.
I’ll be trying to do some early morning climbing before the rain and a trainer ride the day after while it’s pouring outside!
Racing my first ever race as a Cat 4, or more likely just training with my club ecause it’s probably goin to get cancelled due to snow.
Heading to Mallorca to tackle SA Calobra ?

Saturday: short ride with 5×3′ GA2
Sunday: 2,5-3 h GA1
Since spring is starting to emerge I will be cycling with my tri club the Vienna Igels through the Vienna woods and along the Danube :-)
Trainerroad ….. Driven by power readings from my low-end smart trainer but I would LOVE to try out the powermatch feature with the a spanking brand new Stages powermeter ;-)
Just be aware that there are ILT (Isolated Leg Training) drills in some of the TR workouts. These may go a little screwy with powermatch and Stages. And you may need to turn off the auto-pause workout feature…
Short sharp hills on Saturday followed by a gentle Swan river lap Sunday. It’s taper week!
I’ll mainly be doing some repairs to my bike after the punishment it took at last weekend’s Kentish Killer sportive and experimenting with my current setup to make it more knee friendly.
Fix my flat tire.
5 hour ride on the fattie!
Will be doing couple of hours on rollers for the weekend. Very bad weather outside.
No cycling for me this weekend. It’s family vacation at the sea :-).
Intent: ride up the 4 biggest hills in my area on one ride. Recover next day with some sufferfest intervals.
Likely actual: it’s my wedding anniversary so I’ll eat & drink too much with my awesome wife
Between running and eating I will probably be scouring the interwebs for information on what bike I should get
Depending on the weather in Germany I’ll take my road bike for a longer trip…
Quick warmup on bike then 1/2 marathon Sunday
Calming for rain here, so maybe some time on the trainer?
Because there is slush/snow everywhere, my training plan for weekend is to build up those leg muscles at the gym. Heavy squats here I come!
A full week of xc-skiing in northern lapland ahead, before shifting focus on upcoming summer and tri-plans. So, it’ll be a long, +3h classic skiing workout on sunny paradise :)
Abu Dhabi ITU Triathlon 40k bike
Will ride first time at Joshua Tree National Park! Woooohoooo!!!
I will go to lake Balaton to do some cycling and relax, and spin out today morning’s FTP-test from my tired legs! :D
HIIT training using WattBike in the gym :)
Gentle run on Saturday and 10K race on Sunday followed by an easy bike ride in the afternoon.
Have newborn twins, but maybe I can squeeze in an hour on Zwift.
No real cycling plans, all focused on running until Boston…
I will probably be Zwift for me this weekend because they forecasted a lot of rain all weekend
Still in marathon-training-mode until April 9 (Rotterdam Marathon), so another long (40+km) planned for this Sunday. Back to cycling after April!
Would be a great add-on to help me to keep up with the Sunday Pop-Up peloton
Plans for the weekend include some climbing between the Italian and Slovenian borders….!
Gentle ride sat, Lake Mountain Sunday
This weekend is 4 weeks out from our annual 250km event locally, will be doing a very early, very quick lap of some local hills with my Partner as the weather is predicted 40c for the next 3 days :(
Today it will be some trainer interval, and maybe some low cadence power training on Sunday..
Going to dig up my garden and reset the path in it. Heavy clay, so that is enough exercise for the weekend… Cycling resumnes next week……
No cycling for me at the moment – training for my first marathon.
Likely Wahoo snap for me this weekend because of cold weather
Solid plans: to/from the train station to visit a friend (sorry but 2x200k in a day is a little too much at this time of year…)
Maybe plans: A nice and easy 50k-ish weekend ride as part of my (running) taper for my half marathon next weekend!
season opening for me in Germany. Temperature may rise up to 18°C on Saturday. So I guess I plan to squeeze in nifty fifty while my little toddler does her after lunch sleep :)
3 hours steady ride, hopefully
racing a road race and team time trial on saturday and a crit on sunday (with perhaps a hilly ride thrown in for extra measure).
Rest for the whole weekend.
90 minutes on the trainer on Sunday. Still waiting for spring to arrive
I’ll go cycling with some friends
With 15 weekends to go until the work children’s charity ride from London to Paris, I’m planning training ride number 2 of the year, to get some base fitness, in between keeping the Mrs happy by dismantling wardrobes. No rest for the wicked, as they say.
I’ll be priming myself for the weekend with an indoor training session courtesy of the Sufferfest, with my first Criterium race on Saturday, and then a 3 hour hammer-fest (UK Reliability ride) on Sunday. Bring it on!!
I will do a nice 80k ride on Sunday along with a local hill climb challenge!
Up to a short ride on Saturday with a colleague from work.
Well, since the spring is just beginning it’s still trainer time, so I’ll have to put down only some one-hour easy ride this weekend.
Heavy rain all weekend – so 2 hours steady ride in the dusty garage rather than sun and fresh air :-(
Long ride planned – hoping for good weather.
1 hour ride on sunday
2 hours on Zwift to avoid the rain in Scotland
Still getting over this cough so skipping training and heading skiing instead.
Too much winter to head outside with the bike, so I’m planning a early Saturday workout on the trainer instead.
60-70 miles round trip to a nearby Cathedral, ridden steady and hopefully without getting too wet!
Two indoor sessions and hopefully an outdoor ride on Sunday if weather gest better in Northern Spain.
Spinning class today and tomorrow, the road season is still at least one month away.
I’ll be geting back on the nice bike now that the sun is back out.
After a couple of days enforced rest due to illness I plan to get some solid riding in before I attempt Peaks Challenge in Falls Creek in Australia. A Stages power meter would make the training so much better.
Friday night ride outside on crosser and a bit of mountain biking on Sunday. The winter is over and the snow has melted away here – at least for the time being.
Pool swim followed by long run for Saturday, then cross-country skiing on Sunday.
First mountainbike ride for the year on Saturday and indoor interval session on Sunday!
This weekend i go for a ride on zwift
I’ll be very sadly lamenting my currently broken bike and thinking about all the rides I’ll be missing out on. Instead, and almost better, I’ll head out on my commuter bike and ride with my 8 year old daughter to help her get used to a road bike, which she’s only been using for a week.
On Saturday I will be doing an 1.5 to 2 hour ride.
First Sportive in 5 years on Sunday. Unless it’s peeing it down with the freezing rain we’re having, in which case I’ll be determinedly crying off.
I’m actually off call this weekend. I’m going to try for at least one century!
Will tour the Corniche in Abu Dhabi this afternoon.
