It’s March already. Which means that for many in the Northern Hemisphere you’re likely starting to increase the mileage and times of your workouts in preparation for the spring and summer ahead. As such, there’s likely no better time to up your training game with some new gadgets. Thus, I’m here to give you the power. Or rather, my partner in giveaway crime Clever Training is. I’m just like the guy calling you to tell you that you won the sweepstakes.
In any case….
As of a few weeks ago, Clever Training now stocks Stages power meters. So they’ll be giving the winner a free Stages power meter of their choice. As for the crank flavor: Carbon, aluminum, cookie-dough..whatever floats your boat…it’s yours. Hell – I’ll even say that you can pick up the entire crankset if you want. Hopefully, the CT folks won’t mind, because I’m writing this late and had a few too many glasses of wine to bother calling them. You can thank me later…or now.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of your cycling plans for the weekend (or, if you enter in on Monday, what you cycled over the weekend).
Note that if you partied in a hot-tub at a ski resort instead of cycling this weekend, that’s fully acceptable. I’m 100% on your side. Obviously though, simply detail that activity instead as your response.
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, March 6th, 2017 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

Looking to complete my first half century this weekend!
Had my first lesson on XC Ski yesterday and I will be applying this knowledge to XC skiing in the French Alps during the weekend! (“blue” pists only :-) ) . Hopefully the aerobic fitness acquired during the winter training period on my road bike, will be of some help!
On sunday in Sweden the longest cross-country ski event (in the world?) 90k Vasaloppet will take place. I’ll be on my bike riding from start to finish watching the elite run through in roughly 4hours. Lovely!
About an hour on the local bike trail.
Given the weather forecast looks like I’ll be exploring new tarmac in Zwift
Really? You will give Power Meter away? Incredible!
At this weekend I have to cycle 2h on my hometrainer.
It would be realy great if I can do my training with a power meter.
I will be cleaning the bike! It’s a filthy mess. Then I’ll seal it with some turbo sweat!
I will be sitting in a plane all day Saturday, then doing a 180km training ride Sunday. A sweet Stages power meter would sure beat chasing the heart rate around the dial! Thanks Ray and keep up the good work!
Gonna do a 40 mile city loop in San Francisco on Sunday.
No cycling this weekend, too much snow and ice. There will be cross country skiing instead!
Spring is already calling outside, but so is the new-born in the other room… Let’s see how lucky I will be this weekend
Working for the weekend, riding next time for next week.
Warm-Up, 6 times 1 min 340W 1m 280W then 5 mins recovery, repeat 3 times, cool down, collapse. All on Zwift…
Cycling weekend with two kids behind me.
My short plan is to have a short MTB ride now that sliding weather is here.
Probably no cycling this weekend due to a cold I need to recover from first. But if the weather’s good and I’m feeling better, I might throw in a few k’s on Sunday at a low pace just to get out.
Just couple of hours of easy spinning on road bike this Saturday as I’m racing 10k next day.
Breaking in some new road running shoes
I am planning a nice 3 hour ride in the South Downs on Saturday, on and off road on my CX bike. Then on Sunday looks like may get a window of opportunity between the rain showers in the morning. Hoping to get some climbing in, powering up the hills.
I’m getting myself a shot of Flanders cobbles and hills. The weather looks to be in favor of a true Flandrien style ride.
I will swim 1.8 k today, run a 1h45 Long run tomorrow and rest on sunday
Just some muscular endurance sets, but still too much snow for real biking outdoors ;)
I will be nursing my chesty cough while I cheer my mates on their 168km Bike Rally. Hope to come back with a roar once I recovered.
Refreshing cycling trip to the country via some chilly freshly salted roads.
Start cycling again
I’m trying to get comfortable on my bike again after a winter season of strength and conditioning but it’s been quite icy in Scotland recently so we’ll see how it goes!
The tri season is ramping up again so I guess I’d better dust off my bike legs!
I’ll commute home from work. 5 km. Need power meter.
Considering the weather forecast I will be staying indoors this week-end on Zwift…
Not the same as being outside, but they did make the hour on the trainer seem to go faster !
Thanks for all
I’ll bei biking out along two nearby rivers – Traun and Danube – hoping for lovely spring weather.
Still snowing here is the Great White North. I’ll be doing my long run Sunday (preparing for my 1st Marathon), so no biking yet, but I can’t wait to hang with the cool kids with my brand new power meter!
Thanking you in advance!
Regards,
Chris,
As the weather will be good I’ll do my first outdoor cycling tour this year (leaving Zwift bike in the garage).
Will do an intens Zwift ride on saterday. On sunday an easy ride out if the weather let’s me :)
As usual, long ride on Saturday following up with long run on Sunday

Recovering from the flu…so much for the flu shot!
Indoor ride on Saturday, then XC skiing on Sunday.
I am cycling down from Dublin to the south East of Ireland this morning and back up on Sunday for training camp.
I’ll do some laps in the neighbourhood to prepare for the Otway Classics 140 km in mid-March… but I already know I haven’t done enough and I’ll suffer badly then. ;-)
I’ll be building my Sprint Tri training on TrainerRoad and hopefully heading out for my first outdoor ride of the year if the British weather holds!

No cycling this weekend. Volleyball competition this saturday.
first halfmarathon of the year this sunday. too early for a (non power metered) ride.
I’ll be doing a ride that’s a mix of long flats at a high output to train for my first quarter distance triathlon, mixed with challenging climbs. My friends thought it would be fun to enter the Belgian classic that is Liege-Bastogne-Liege in April. The moment I said I’d join them, I didn’t know how full of nasty climbs it actually is..
A decent power meter will definitely help with training for both of these ;)
Probably a 60km ride depending on rain
Group rides on Saturday & Sunday – yey! :)
I plan a 18km run to prepare for cycling this summer :-)
Run , for 10k
Maybe trainer on Sunday
I have put the bike away until April as I am running in the London Marathon in April, this weekend i’m watching my friend ride in the Wiltshire Wildcat then running the 17 miles home
Some cycling: Splash through the puddles and defy the foul weather…
Its raining here so will have to use the trainer
I will be taking a performance test to see where I stand and pick up my training program after being sick for a week.
First roadbike session outdoor this year. Finally the sun is shining and the roads dries up (ish).
Looking pretty wet so i’ll try an sneak in a 45km coffee shop ride. If the weather holds out that’ll be extended to a 100km ride through the Royal National Park.
Would like to do 50km on a trainer
This weekend i’ll be using the trainer to stay out of the rain!!
Will be doing a pre-race ride of the CTCT (largest timed cycle race in the world) this weekend before the race the following weekend.
I will be doing a 4 hour turbo session on saturday #stormy
Just some easy Zwifting. Still mainly building up some extra running endurance before launching into tri season. Would be a bliss if I’d have a slightly more portable power measurement device than my Neo when heading outside though!
60k ride for fun. Weather forecast for Vienna promising warm days!
Do amazing treks in beautiful Blue mountains and Port Douglas area. A big fan of Zwift, but this really beats it, especially after spending 4 months in the training room at home in Sweden :-)
I’ll be cycling to play Netball on Saturday, fingers crossed the rain stays away
A trainer workout infront of the tv following Vasaloppet or the 50 km cross-country world championship.
I will do a safety training.
For my part, this post is a sob story as I have had a cold for over three weeks now. The plan for the weekend was to get started with the training, the rear wheel was straightened, the weather better than ever, and legs that have not pedaled since forever. But no. A new cold. My throat is all clogged. Damn it.
Doesn’t this entitle me the Stages?
Recovery ride for me. Just spinning the legs
A long mountain bike ride on snowy roads in a sunny winter landscape.
Greetings from the north of Sweden.
Hill repeats
I’ll be getting on my CX bile and go out and explore, riding whatever it takes: road, gravel, trail.
Small cruise around town
Skiing in La Thuile Saturday long(ish) ride Sunday
Club run Sunday, little leg stretcher today.
Training on the Neo, the weather forcast is not so good ?
I was commuting between work and home all week long, so on the weekend (forecasting sunny and warm weather) it is time for gardening and running.
Just a short 30-40K trip – to see how the freshly adjusted gears click.
I’ll ride outside this Sunday, first time after injury even if it will rain (it will)!
3hour easy ride, in preparation for an Trail ultra!
2nd ever crit race

Oh and the weather looks great : Rain and lot’s of wind …
I’m presenting at an academic conference this weekend, but hoping to sneak in a quick 10 mile uphill during the lunch.
The first race of the season is next weekend… so this weekend I will mostly be on a bit of race-route-recce.
Planning on a MTB/Trail duathlon on sunday.
Just a little Turbo Trainer session…
2 Sufferfest trainings on my kickr this weekend but I love to measure power outdoors too……
Doing some Baseline and Balance Skill Drills from Ryan Leech
Trying to go for a little ride on sunday after a long period of not being on the bike at all.

I’m planning a filthy MTB ride in the hills.
I am racing in my first road (non-circuit) race on Sunday – my excuse now for not winning is not being able to train to power, but you could help me there..!
About 80 on saturday, 160km on sunday. All on new wheels.
Hello there! just a cadence workout on my trainer on saturday, because I race a half-marathon on sunday :D
2-3 hours on Saturday and another 2-3 on Sunday if I can figure out how to squeeze it in around my daughter’s crits and track races…
Saturday, probably a 80-100km tour through Franken using the two-digit temperatures (in C). Sunday, a short ride with a friend.
I’ll take a short hour long ride on the trainer, and spend the nice weather outside cross country skiing…
Saturday some hill running I want to go for 1.000m and maybe some zwift
