It’s March already. Which means that for many in the Northern Hemisphere you’re likely starting to increase the mileage and times of your workouts in preparation for the spring and summer ahead. Getting back on the bike after a year off, starting off saturday with some indoor training on my tacx vortex then tomorrow heading out onto the open road to feel that bitter british wind :)

Going to do park run (not cycling I know) on saturday followed by a lovely 4:15 turbo session courtesy of TrainerRoad. Sunday will be around 3 hour club ride with my tri club before retiring to the sofa the rest of the day!
No such thing as bad weather…rain, snow, dry, cold and wet, cold and dry, I ride. I plan on a couple 50+ mile days this weekend.
I’ll be doing a cool 45m of 90-110 threshold work on the trainer while nursing a very tight right calf that probably will keep me from running today, and tomorrow it’ll be time to run in the morning and sightseeing in the afternoon.

It’s 11am on Saturday and part-way through the plan:
– Saturday am – two (well, one and a half) rides up the same pass on the Kickr, brought to a merciful end with a snapped belt
– Sunday am – 70 mile sportive , starting 16 miles from home – for my first century ride of the year. And it’ll be raining
– Monday am – back on the fixie for my regular commute

Had a long ride to the Coast Planned. Looked at the weather forecast – Zwift it is. Such is the reality of being a Cyclist in the UK.
A loop through a local reserve called Suikerbos rand, 62km, 1000m ascend on our (Wife, myself and a friend) mountain bikes.

I am manning the cake stall at the spring sportive organised by my club. A job of key importance.
5 hour neo/zwift session planned for Sunday morning
Sat – morning – 30min HIIT on TT bike with avgSpd 30km/h
Sat – evening – 90min MTB 29er technique
Sun – morning – 120min long road ride
Sun – evening – 2-3k easy tempo swim
Just trying to ride every day.
If it’s raining I’ll be on zwift riding the new volcano course. If weather is good I’ll be out on the road bike :)
First some Saturday morning maintenance, then on my mountain bike to the my brother in law to admire his new bike and hopefully a test ride. On Sunday some decent Tacx action on my road bike to work on my endurance and bike position.
