It’s March already. Which means that for many in the Northern Hemisphere you’re likely starting to increase the mileage and times of your workouts in preparation for the spring and summer ahead. As such, there’s likely no better time to up your training game with some new gadgets. Thus, I’m here to give you the power. Or rather, my partner in giveaway crime Clever Training is. I’m just like the guy calling you to tell you that you won the sweepstakes.
In any case….
As of a few weeks ago, Clever Training now stocks Stages power meters. So they’ll be giving the winner a free Stages power meter of their choice. As for the crank flavor: Carbon, aluminum, cookie-dough..whatever floats your boat…it’s yours. Hell – I’ll even say that you can pick up the entire crankset if you want. Hopefully, the CT folks won’t mind, because I’m writing this late and had a few too many glasses of wine to bother calling them. You can thank me later…or now.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of your cycling plans for the weekend (or, if you enter in on Monday, what you cycled over the weekend).
Note that if you partied in a hot-tub at a ski resort instead of cycling this weekend, that’s fully acceptable. I’m 100% on your side. Obviously though, simply detail that activity instead as your response.
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, March 6th, 2017 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I’m still recuperating from an illness less than two weeks ago. So I will just spin some very easy 40km on saturday. And since sunday is predicted to be rainy, I’ll spin an other hour around the sundays Zwift course.
Lots and lots of zwifting for me this weekend.
Two TrainerRoad workouts :)
It’s a rest week, so just some easy Zone 2 work.
My plans are to do a lot of indoor trainer work to make up for the time I will miss while on vacation in India.
I’ve officially decided that my foot hurts too much to run until I start physio so my weekend is going to be 1 swim and 2 big bikes to make up for no run.
Got swim practice Saturday morning and then cycling for the rest of the weekend! :)
Plan an indoor trainer ride… still too cold out.
I will train with power inside with my iVortex, but need a powermeter for outside!
Trainer, trainer, and more trainer!! Then beer.
I’ve got a great 100km loop which contains 2000m climbing lined up. From the top you can see a Pyrenee (if that’s the singular) but that will be as close as I get to climbing into a ski resort hot tub.
It’s been a good couple of weeks so far so looking for some winter PRs! All this is in preparation for a solo tilt at the Le Mans 24 Hour bike race in August, aiming to crack 400 miles.
I have an FTP test planned for Sunday. I will be taking it on Zwift. After 6 weeks of training.
no plans to ride, just run Sat.
I will be working both Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully, I might ride through lunch breaks. Nothing fancy though, 30-40 kilometers, a very fast shower and then I will be eating my way back to work. A flat would be a disaster, due to the lack of both time and mechanical skills… :)
Well, I planned a half-marathon (running, not cycling), but that’s not in the cards now. So, still working on the plan! The weather might be good enough for an outdoor ride – if not, sufferfest! Probably some running, too!
Just riding for the fun of it.
Riding along the river with my husband
Brick with a ocean swim followed by some easy mileage up hwy 1.
I have a 1 hour 35 minute hill climbing session on the trainer planned for this weekend.
will do an hour’s indoor trainer ride with a 10 minute off the bike run
British Cycling training plan says 70 miles on Saturday. Still cold and wet so perhaps not that far and anyway I’ve got six months before Lejog.
Weatherman calling for snow, it’s a trainer ride for me
Going to be in the 60s this weekend so hopefully I can get off the trainer and get outside for a ride.
Doing my first 25 mile TT of the year on Zwift tomorrow, according to trainerroad I have increased my FTP by 20 watts since last year so it’s going to hurt a lot!
Tackling the Cat 1 climb up Mt Buller, for my 6th of the 7peaks.com.au challenge.
A Stages power meter sure would help my training and climbing.
We might get some barely acceptable weather here in Chicago, so I’m going to chance it and train outside.
riding up GMR this weekend… best climb in CA.
long ride
Two hours on the trainer on Saturday with Zwift as the thermometer tops out at around 8°F.
Early morning ride in the pain cave before the kids games
Doing a 30 mile ride on Saturday and 50 mile ride on Sunday
100km with hills Saturday morning. Easy 70km Sunday.
A hot and pancake flat 100km ride.
I just ordered some new tires and steeringtape. Looks like next week will kick off the outdoorseason!
Putting some time in with the rollers and trainerroad!
Spin bikes, because restrictions of the FIFO life don’t make for friendly training in the real world.
In the woods, in the cold. Yahoo.
Saturday is time to swim, ride a bike and run
cycling brussels
I might get to exit the cave and ride outside this weekend in Colorado with 60s in the forecast! Otherwise, another trainer session. And a run. And a swim.
Hopefully some riding outside if the snow stays away:-)
I have my masters class but also did hr on the trainer, 2k swim and either a 60 mi ride outside or 2:30 on the trainer.
This weekend I plan to put together my new fixed gear bike.
I am seriously trying to get my groove back.
recover from my fractured collarbone. hopefully heal soon. no riding yet :( But will need a pm once I’m back at it!
Cold weekend ahead. Most likely a couple hours on the rollers indoors.
Half marathon on Sunday!
Hmm looks like there will rain this weekend. I might have to do a ride on the trainer, or maybe I can sneak a road ride in when it dry.
Saturday is a rest day after 315km over 6 days this week. Sunday is Melbourne’s Beach Road, Mordialloc to Port Melbourne then home.
The Wiltshire wildcat sportive in the UK
I was going to do my first attempt of the year up Tai Mo Shan in Hong Kong, but because my wife kept me up last night I’ll have a lie in. I’m likely to just pick a Zwift ride or later.
Looks like a short polar excursion here in CT.
Partying in Lisbon although had I known about the giveaway beforehand I’d obviously have been suffering hard on the bike in a cold, wet Scotland.
I’m traveling, so it’s only running for me this weekend.
Kind of cold in this neck of the woods, but I’ll be out for a couple rides and runs.
A long indoor training ride, until the snow melts
no plans! will just see where the roads lead me!
My cycling plans for the weekend consist of a 14 mile run Saturday and Snowboarding Sunday. But will be back on the trainer Monday.
I will actually hike on New Zealand, but if I have time, i will rent a bike.
Weather in Ireland looking wet, but I’ll be heading out on the Caad10 to build the miles
An indoor trainer session or two, some wallyball, and a game of ultimate.

I plan on getting out doing some loops around the lake.
Hoping to squeeze out another day of skiing on Sunday!
No cycling to me cause I just remove a bone tumor on my right leg near the knee. Hope I can fully recovered and cycling again soon.
riding on my trainer with trainer road
Trainer ride for me. Too cold for the road bike but at least it’s good running weather.
My cycling plans for this weekend might be a little less than many others because I live in New Hampshire and it will be 15F this weekend. I was planning to go on my first outdoor long ride of the year, but that will have to wait another week. I will spend more QT on the trainer in the basement this weekend.
Mountain biking with friends on whatever the best local trails that are dry by Sunday — and probably one or two rides on Zwift, as well (for which I would love to have a power meter!).
Wait for my kickr replacement parts.
Given the time of year it will be all cross country skiing here in the north of Sweden.
Going to do a 40Km in the Lumpini park.
I am headed out for a 30 miler to see how well my trainer work adapts to the road. It’s a bit nippy and the winds are….well, its March.
I will be zwifting Friday daytime and Sunday evening due to being separated from my bike for most of the weekend. Still two feet of snow on the ground here; hoping for a ski!
Trying to avoid -13C by riding when the forecast is a warm -5C.
I will be riding the full length of several roads, instead of just riding sections on the way to other roads.
No cycling this weekend. Gearing up for first half marathon of the year
I’ll be doing some Zwifting, some racing and unfortunately some working.
I’m going to continue my recovery process from a back injury. This means no more than 2 hours. And despite the rain and wind and cold temps in Seattle, that is going to be 2 hours outside on Mercer Island, because 2 hours outside is better than 2 hours inside.
Starting 6 full days of early Spring riding in Alabama…we’re not in Michigan any more!!
Planning a long ride around the Oakland hills before heading to the airport on Sunday. Hope it doesn’t rain!
TrainerRoad session on Tacx Flux as it squeaks itself to death.

Likely a couple of 1 hour sweet spot rides on the trainer while I catch up on Legion and Homeland.

Going out early Saturday for 40 miles
Easy recovery rides on Zwift this weekend, after a high mileage hard week of running, biking, and far too much work. I need a beer…
Hmmm rain smashing down in Sydney this weekend – the 50km Friday morning ride will be it I think.
Thanks for the giveaways!
Depends what season it is each day — we’ve gone winter to spring to summer this week!
Indoor training ride
Completed a nice wet road ride this morning (Saturday) and will enjoy a nice dry Zwift ride this evening.
As I’m on a business trip to USA no cycling this weekend but I’m going to do some running
