It’s March already. Which means that for many in the Northern Hemisphere you’re likely starting to increase the mileage and times of your workouts in preparation for the spring and summer ahead. As such, there’s likely no better time to up your training game with some new gadgets. Thus, I’m here to give you the power. Or rather, my partner in giveaway crime Clever Training is. I’m just like the guy calling you to tell you that you won the sweepstakes.
In any case….
As of a few weeks ago, Clever Training now stocks Stages power meters. So they’ll be giving the winner a free Stages power meter of their choice. As for the crank flavor: Carbon, aluminum, cookie-dough..whatever floats your boat…it’s yours. Hell – I’ll even say that you can pick up the entire crankset if you want. Hopefully, the CT folks won’t mind, because I’m writing this late and had a few too many glasses of wine to bother calling them. You can thank me later…or now.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of your cycling plans for the weekend (or, if you enter in on Monday, what you cycled over the weekend).
Note that if you partied in a hot-tub at a ski resort instead of cycling this weekend, that’s fully acceptable. I’m 100% on your side. Obviously though, simply detail that activity instead as your response.
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, March 6th, 2017 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I’ll be exploring my new neighborhood on wheels for the first time since moving in. Too bad it’s not 75 like last weekend, but it *is* still February…
DC is getting hit with some cold mornings, so it looks like it is back on the trainer.
Only a family ride for me this weekend. I get all my miles commuting during the week.
Given the rainy weather, I’ll have a brick session starting with 90′ on the trainer @80% of FTP. I look forward to my second power meter for my road bike!

Off to do a very muddy MTB race and get meased up
Just going to a park nearby and try to teach my daughter to ride a bicycle.
Hoping to get a quick short ride through the bitter wind…
if not then time on the the spin bike.
maybe only a short zwift workout as we have many kids events this weekend.
Riding to the top of a volcano tomorrow… in Zwift. Then either a trip up Box Hill on Sunday or a run if the weather cooperates.
On the trainer Saturday for a couple of hours. Sunday it’s cross country skiing.
Thanks.
Long MTB ride I hope.
Zwift group ride Saturday morning!
Looks like a mudfedst
4 hour ride on Saturday, then an hour trainer ride preceding a run on Sunday
I’m hoping to get at least 45 mins on the trainer at some point, although it’s tough to do as I get more and more pregnant.
Going to have a lovely ride in the rain
Flying to Mallorca on Saturday for a week full of cycling, so first there will be a short test ride on the rental bike and Sunday the first planned ride of about 100 km.
I’ve been off the bike too long. I’ll be doing Zwift sessions all weekend before starting a TrainerRoad plan next week.
Short workout on the trainer
100+ km mtb training ride for a 200km mtb race in 2 weeks. Bit early in the season, but signed up so have to go :)
It will be an indoor session for me, since it is cold and rainy here.
Michigan is cold yo. With any luck Ill spin for an hour+ in the basement. maybe work on my new bike fit (which needs its own power meter ^-^ ).
Looking forward to a fun gravel/adventure ride on the cx bike this Sunday. Plan is to do about 50 miles, from Orange County, over the Santa Ana’s into corona, then back on the roads.
Been sick for a couple of weeks, itching to be able to start training again, so: a nice slow 2hr ride on the Brandenburg countryside on the warmest day of the year so far.
3.5 hour ride on Saturday and 2.5 hour ride on Sunday.
My current plans are a 1.5hr Baxter on Trainer Road for Saturday. Come Sunday, quite possibly an easy 30minute recovery ride after my 17mi run…
Yay for the weekend!
On the damn train trainer again as the wind will never stop!
Windy but in the 60’s this weekend. Outside riding it is!
I hope to train hard this weekend because I’m goig to participate in my first half ironman the next week.
wind chill below zero F on Saturday. (Trainer)
wind chill in the low 20’s F on Sunday. Maybe a short road ride.
No cycling this weekend. Too many other things planned.
I’m hoping to get out on the town with my 7.5 month old on our new “biking with a kid” set up.
Friday: evening run
Saturday: chopping wood to please the woman.(Does this count as a power-session?) + swim session in the evening.
Sunday: first long ride of this season with my cycling club.
Planning on asking the local hills within an hour from home on Sat or Sunday, then hopefully some cycling Monday as the weather is going to change here.
I did an easy spin on the rollers this morning to try and loosen my legs up after some nasty supra-threshold intervals last night. Tomorrow is another round of intervals, this time 3 sets of 8×1 minute VO2 max intervals, 1 minute rest between, 10 minutes between sets, to be done on the trusty Tacx Neo. Sunday sees a 2 hour endurance ride outdoors in the cold with a couple of friends to round out the training week and justify the enjoyment of some malted recovery BEvERages post-ride.
I’m going to do a long ride of about one hour!
I’m flying to the beach, so unfortunately the bike stays behind. But I’ll be trying to get back up to speed running after a 2.5 month injury
MTB hard on Sat., Road Ride on Sun.
Plan is to get a 40 minute interval trainer ride in on my new bike, but we’ll see!
Tomorrow I plan to log 4-5 hours riding in the mountains of Mallorca, the weather forecast isn’t great, lots of wind but in the mountains at least I’d get some protection!!!
Wrapping up the first week of road.cc’s six week to fitness program with hill repeats tonight. Then Sunday should be perfect weather for a nice endurance ride – probably 60-70 miles.
I’m propably going to extend my river ride by 50km to a 150km on my mtb.
I’m following a river called “de Niers” to it’s source, but it’s to far for me to take it in one go.
When i’m riding it the complete distance it’s about 215km.
Given the cold front coming in with highs in the teens (Fahrenheit) I’ll be on the trainer. Some great college hoops games on Saturday should make for good entertainment!
Bike building this weekend. If I can get my new bike complete, I put it on the Tacx for a test ride… or possibly outside.
I hope I’ll get a dry Sunday ride, and get some endurance miles in.
I was planning to go to my first road race of the season this weekend, but instead my body decided to get the flu. I will be napping for the majority of the weekend, and taking powerful painkillers to get me through the moments I’m awake.
Tucking into a cookie dough crankset would probably help.
Planning on riding down to the beach!
I’m injured and i’m not allowed to ride my bike to work. ;-(
It’s going to be April like weather here. Couple road rides on tap with a set of tempo intervals on Sunday!
Long run Saturday and a long ride Sunday. That is, if the winds don’t blow me away.
Group Ride with some friends. Should be about 40miles. The route is unknown because the ride leader is keeping it a secret.
Still cold in the Northeast so grinding it out indoors
Spending the weekend celebrating 4yrs with my amazing wife up in the north woods of Wisconsin.
I plan to do 30-60 minutes on the trainer.
No cycling plans this weekend. I’m doing my first half-marathon on Sunday!
A 10-mile MTB ride along a local canal path to my nearest Parkrun, then a 5k Parkun, and perhaps a longer return trip.
This weekend is too busy to get in a ride. I’ll probably just pull the kids behind the bike to get some ice cream.
Looks like it’s going to be very cold this weekend, -10degC with 40kph winds, so I’ll be on the trainer both days. Luckily ITU Abu Dhabi and Strade Bianchi are going on Saturday and Sunday, so good races to watch and hopefully time flies by!!!
It’s supposed to be in the 60’s here in Minnesota this weekend so hoping to get out for atlas a 40-50 mile ride out in to the country and back.
Still cold and icy here in north Toronto, so I will be a long base building ride or intervals on the old KK Roadmachine – depends on what HRV4 tells me to do.
Got 90min of VO2 Max on Saturday, then a 2hr ride on Sunday followed by BEvERages……..
Zwifting on Saturday and if all goes right, building a new bike on Sunday.
Ontwakingstocht cycling on Sunday!
It’s going to be 20 degrees this weekend, so I will be keeping my indoor trainer company :(
riding tacx neo on saturday to relax an competing in 10k running race on sunday. after the race easy rolling on the neo again
You just inspired me for doing a ride. It was great to be on the bike again.
Trainer sessions Saturday and Sunday….. Good times
As it’s going to be first the weekend with better weather this year in Poland, I’m planning to ride outside on saturday morning. The plan is approx. 50km easy ride.
As much as I would like to get out and shred some local mountain bike trails, freezing temps for the weekend will probably mean TrainerRoad on the KICKR.
Long run scheduled on Sunday (no ride, it’s too chilly for the moment).
On a recovery week. Two 60 minute rides at around 80% FTP with several good recoveries.
Going on an pure uphill race on Saturday.
I shall be riding North on Sunday to eat sausage sandwiches
I am having Bike to Run Brick – 50 min in my pain cave and 20 min around the lake.
Last weekend before the “season” kicks off with Land Run 100, so a hard 3-4 hour effort on the gravel will happen Saturday and a neighborhood cruise with the kids Sunday.
My first long ride!
Hopefully I get an hour of free time on Sunday to hop on Zwift.
Slogging through a trainer road workout.
This weekend is all about the run for me, prepping for a half marathon in 4 weeks. But I’ll spend all those miles dreaming of my first power meter, and how much better life will be when I give up running and spend the rest of my days on 2 wheels!
A 3rd cat crit at Hog Hill!
well I was going to go on a nice easy ride this 3/3/17th but another major storm is heading to this area so its back to the spinner(ugh).
I’ll be hitting Zwift tonight (Friday EST) and tomorrow, (Saturday) the local bike shop is hosting a ride to celebrate the opening of the seasonal ice cream shop across the street.
A 40-50 mile ride.
– 20 deg Celsius expected this WE so bike on the trainer only ;)
I’m planning on bleeding my brakes on my mtb and shredding some trails on Saturday! Sunday will be road riding fun…
It’s a running weekend for me (22 miler on Saturday) but I’ll probably go for a long commute home on Monday, since it is supposed to be in the 60’s. In Minnesota. In the beginning of March. So much for fat biking this winter.
Injured foot = no running at the moment and 30-45K cycling (indoor) per day and backcountry skiing during the week-end, thanks DC!
I’m escaping the midwest’s winter resurgence by checking out the underground bike park in Louisville, KY. I’m shooting for 15-20 miles of ‘indoor’ mountain biking miles.
Planning a century ride tomorrow. In preparation for a little trip to Mallorca next week, my first time going. Can’t wait! :)
will have a 70 km ride as usual ;)
100k ride on saturday (if weather permits)
I definitely won’t have a ride this weekend, but two day of new powder are waiting for me and my skies in the swiss alps!
After the vacation I will care about my bike again! :-)
My plans are to ride this years opening cyclo on Sunday of 130k. Ofc I will go there by bike, so it will be 160k total. On Saturday I wil have a 40k spin on my MTB. Already looking forward to this weekend!
Indoor training for me!
50-75k mountain training for me this weekend
4-5 hour long ride at Saturday and 2-3h easy at Sunday
Pain cave Saturday and Sunday for a total of 4 hours. Pick me! Pick me!
