I’m sure many of you received various sports gadgets over the last few weeks as part of the holidays. But for those unlucky elves who received only a half-eaten gel packet in their Christmas stocking from their not-so-significant others, I’ve got a festivus of a present for you: This giveaway.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on basically anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero5 Black to a Garmin Vivoactive HR to a random pair of socks to the PowerTap C1 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats).
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (i.e. F3), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Thursday, December 29th, 2016 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I’d get a powermeter….
I’d like to get a new wheel-off smart trainer. Why? Well, like you, my wife and I recently had a baby, and we live in a small city apartment. With the temps outside low and skies spitting down slush, riding indoors is a necessary evil. But the squeaky tire and noisy shifting can wake up the baby. Oh and did I mention that my wife couldn’t afford a new $1k trainer on her social worker salary? Queue the violins!
A power meter. Always nice to know your power.
Stryde footpod, to introduce the concept of power (and precise speed tracking) in my running
I would get some new gear or watch

a new fancy smart trainer
I would get fenix 3 HR, because my fenix 3 does not have HR!
I’d get a new bike trainer, either a Wahoo or Kinetic!
Probably a Wahoo Elemnt so I can go full onboard monitoring without phone.
Garmin powermeter or edge 1000
I would put it toward the Cycleops Magnus and start spinning when my 3 kids start sleeping.
I’d have to take a look at that Powertap power meter but only because I have plenty of socks.
Hey Ray,

I’ve been eyeing a Garmin Index scale. Need to do a better job of tracking my weight.
Garmin 735xt is at the top of my list as a replacement for my Suunto Ambit3 Sport. No offense towards Suunto, but the Garmin would add OHR (which I really want), as well as put all of my activities on a common platform without having to export to TrainingPeaks.

Garmin Edge 820. I don’t have any cycling machine.
I would pick any garmin running watch. Because who wouldn’t want a garmin watch. I mean really.
powertap p1
A new power meter
I would like a power meter, whatever I could afford with the credit. I told my family that I didn’t really need anything this Christmas, which is most of the time. We tried to start donating more to stop the seeming tsunami of evil coming from the upcoming administration, so Planned Parenthood and ACLU, to start with.
I’d happily send my 235 to my wife so I can upgrade to the 735 :)
GoPro for diving thanks

I would have to go for a power meter for sure! I would love to train with power, and let’s face it, I’m a data junkie. Now I have to admit the C1 is just the right price and I would love an excuse to upgrade my drive train!
I’d get a Fenix3 sapphire, just because…
