I’m sure many of you received various sports gadgets over the last few weeks as part of the holidays. But for those unlucky elves who received only a half-eaten gel packet in their Christmas stocking from their not-so-significant others, I’ve got a festivus of a present for you: This giveaway.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on basically anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero5 Black to a Garmin Vivoactive HR to a random pair of socks to the PowerTap C1 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats).
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (i.e. F3), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Thursday, December 29th, 2016 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I would like a new running watch. Probably a Fenix 3 or a 735 forerunner.
It’s a toss up between a new Go Pro or a new Garmin Virb!
A Garmin Edge 520
Power Meter
Would go for one of the Suunto multisport watches!
Fenix 3 HR so I can become strapless.
It would definitely have to go towards a power meter, but oh the dilemma – which one?! :/
Garmin Fenix 4 for everything outdoor activities
One of the Garmin watches.
Still waiting for Santa to bring the Edge 1000…
I’d buy a direct drive smart trainer to replace my almost dead Road Machine. Probably a Cyclops Hammer.
~ nick
A new Garmin Edge with IQ
I’d get the Powertap P1 pedals cause I have no idea how much power I produce or how to measure improvement in training.
I love a power meter to train better
A F920 tri-bundle because my new bundle of joy limits my current budget..
PowerTap P1 pedals so I can finally train with power
Garmin Edge 1000. Or maybe a power meter… Or a GoPro…
Garmin Fenix 3 to replace my trusty 310XT
I would bring home a Fenix 3 HR Optical. I was quite tempted to pick it up on the Black Friday specials, but have been held at bay in hopeful anticipation of new features in the Fenix vNext. … but if I were using “free money” I would gladly purchase one now. What am I waiting for in vNext? HRV capable optical HR, onboard GSM, music and audio cues via Bluetooth without a phone, improves sync stability with GC…
I’m thinking a new ‘smart’ trainer would be nice, and while my old Cyclops Fluid2 and a set of rollers has served me well for more than a decade, it’d be nice to have something help make the workouts a bit more interesting… Thanks Ray, for all the great work you do!
Garmin 720 because my 710 is acting up.
Power meter
Since I got for myself a wahoo kicker. I will need a power pod for my bike when I will be able to go out.
I’m in love with the Spartan Sport, so I wouldn’t mind getting one :)
I wanted a suunto peak. All I got was a book.
Garmin Fenix 3 hr. My Fenix 2 is getting old.
Powermeter or Fenix 4 (waiting for CES 2017)…
I would love to get a new Power2max for my second bike. I’m blind without a power meter!!
Something Powertap, probably c1, since my old PT wheel won’t work anymore.
Power Meter P1 or C1 !
A power meter of some description. I’m pretty sure I produce good power but confirming that would be great motiviation to shed the weight to convert “good power” to good “power to weight”
I didn’t get any gadgets but would like them all…
I’d probably get the 735 to compliment my Fenix 3 and apple watch! Thanks again Ray
Garmin Virb Ultra 30 would be a perfect replacement for my GoPro Hero 3+ for my biking.
I’d like a new Garmin bike computer. My Edge 500 is getting old.
Need a new cycling computer to go with my Kickr. The 520 or the Elemnt should do nicely.
I didn’t get the Garmin scale that I’d asked for and will help
Me through my continued weight training efforts. I’m previously sold into the Garmin ecosystem, so I’m locked.
New virb, because you can never have too many action cameras.
The newest Garmin 6 series running watch :)
I didn’t get a new Garmin Fenix 3 Sapphire. I didn’t get it for two reasons
1) My trusty Suunto Ambit only stopped working after may years of perfect service last week. The start/stop button has worn out and now it sticks, so all pauses are now stops and starting can also be a stop. Hard to complain though it’s handled 38,000k of cycling, 8,000k of running and 400k of swimming.
2) Nobody I know was going to spend that kind of money on a Christmas present for me.
An indoor bike trainer to keep cycling through the winter!
Time for a new indoor trainer I think.
Garmin multisport watch. Polar’s RCX5 is reason enough to switch brands.
I didn’t get a Kickr…of course, I didn’t tell anybody I wanted one, and nobody would throw that kind of coin my way…
If I win the $500 gadget giveaway I would buy the Suunto Spartan Ultra GPS Watch, I have been wanting this since it came out, but it is too expensive. But with this gift card I can afford to buy it.
Powertap G3
A Fenix 3 HR so I can keep good track of my upcoming runs on the slopes ;-)
I would buy a Niterider Enduro headlight to light up those dark winter rides!
I would put it towards a wahoo kickr to improve my trainer road sessions! They are tough on the rollers and I don’t think I’m getting the quality coach Chad expects ;)
I’d get a GoPro Hero5 Black. Why? To record all sorts of sports and family moments!
I’ll get a gopro hero 5 or a virb ultra 30. would have to check mr. rainmakers review first again before making a decision.
Garmin heart rate monitors and some cold weather running gear — it is cold in NYC ?
A garmin.. 735xt ?
Probably would hold out until the next Garmin HR released item comes out.
A new smart trainer
So many ideas… let’s say I would get a Garmin Fenix 3 watch, because I would like to enter a triathlon contest next year and this will help with the training.
Nice down payment on Powertap pedals!
I love a new Garmin 935XT of whatever it will be named when announced in 2017
I’m keen to upgrade to a Garmin 820

I’m not sure. Maybe another Virb Ultra 30.
Forerunner 235,
I’ve been using a FR60 for 4 years now and need an upgrade.
A Garmin 735
I’m not so sure, maybe a Garmin Edge-520 or 820 or even though a Wahoo Elemnt.
The latest fenix! I’m anxiously awaiting to see if there is a 4. Otherwise, I’m a fan of the rose gold fenix3. My 920 died. :(
I didn’t get a Scoshe HRM because my dad drew my name this year and he doesn’t use Amazon or shop online at all actually.
Fenix 3 like 80% of the other comments
I’d get a trainer in order to introduce more effective, and efficient, structured training into my cycling.
A Garmin device, Fenix 3 or 735HR
A Tacx Vortex
I would buy a triathlon suit as I am getting into triathlons as my new year goals.
Garmin 710. My 305 is okd
Fenix 3 as I need an upgrade.
I’d get a go pro hero 5 or Garmin virb to film my movnat and animal flow training. Read each review twice and still can’t make up my mind :)
Rudolph got lost, so the gopro 5 didn’t show up. Thx for a awesome blog and merry Christmas and happy new year.
I would get a fenix 3 with optical heart rate saphire watch. Im upgrading from my garmin 910xt watch. I hate wearing a heart rate strap:)
I would buy a triathlon suit as I am getting into triathlons as my new year goals.
If I won, I would put the $500 towards the Powertap pedals!
Turbo trainer, kickr snap perhaps, as my existing turbo is ancient and stuck in high resistance setting!
Garmin 820, moar maps!
A new home trainer would be great.. and smart, that would be awesome.
Garmin 735 or Fenix 3. I am a total Garmin addict but my 630 is starting to feel like it is old news :( I still love it though…..
Would love the Garmin Fenix 3, 2017 should be the year of my 1st Ironman.
Power meter is next in my wish list
I would love to get a Kickr 2
Probably a new cycle computer….520 / Element
I would love to get a smart trainer to up my off season training. Maybe a Tacx Neo or a Wahoo Kickr

I would definitely get myself a Garmin Virb Ultra 30 to capture all the awesomeness I get into with my friends and gear.
I need a brand new gps!
Wahoo Kicker! My old mag trainer is almost 12 years old and just won’t die. I’m sure with this to go towards it I can get the gap cost passed by the Minister of Finance (my wife) to upgrade.
Gopro 5!
I’d probably pick a power meter . Don’t have one , think it will come in handy for IM training.
I didn’t get a Edge 820. Santa didn’t think I was a good boy this year
I would really like to get the GoPro Hero5 Black for shooting our family skiing and our cyling sessions.
Do they sell wheels? If so, that’s probably what I’d get from them. If not … I’m sure there’s something else.
Powertap P1 pedals or an Edge 820. Time for some upgrades!
Powerrrrrrrrrmeter! New year, morele Powerrrrrrrrrmeter!
A fenix f3hr to help with training for my first Ironman.
