The Didn’t Get What You Wanted $500 Gadget Giveaway

DSC_6546

I’m sure many of you received various sports gadgets over the last few weeks as part of the holidays.  But for those unlucky elves who received only a half-eaten gel packet in their Christmas stocking from their not-so-significant others, I’ve got a festivus of a present for you: This giveaway.

The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime.  By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on basically anything they sell (or get points instead).  If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero5 Black to a Garmin Vivoactive HR to a random pair of socks to the PowerTap C1 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer.  Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats).

How to enter:

Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).

The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (i.e. F3), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters.  And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM.  Got all that?

Good luck!

The giveaway entry period will run through Thursday, December 29th, 2016 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time.  Winner will be selected randomly.  One entry per person.  The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

  15. Tim

  16. Retzel Orquiza

I want the new Quarq DZero powermeter

  17. Rick M

I would surely buy a pedal based powermeter (sooo expensive in Argentina). I need to measure my efforts to improve my bike so I would hopefully win my spot to 70.3 WC Port Elizabeth 2018.

A fenix 3 hr because I could use it for everything (swim, bike, run, hike, activity tracker,…) and no need for hr strap.

  32. Amanda Goodbread

I’d get a new Garmic, because my current one doesn’t have HR nor is water resistant which is bad for the triathlon training in eyeing for the new year. I’d also get new shoes because I can’t seem to find ones that keep me ITBS in check and it’s destroying my season.

  44. Peter Nielsen

Both a Garmin Edge 820 and a Hero5 session was missing under the christmas tree …

I’d like to get a Garmin 235 to better track my runs.

  60. Jamie Morrison

Fenix 3 HR for the wife

  72. Justin

    I’d get my wife a Forerunner 235!

  73. Gerald

I woukd tend to buy a GARMIN Fenix 3 HR to consolidate my data as the bike computer is a GARMIN Edge 520. So messing around with POLAR’s and GARMIN’s sites would end.

  74. James Dove

    Something for a bike race…

Action camera or powermeter woud be nice :)

  76. LiquidN2

I would get a Garmin 735HR to replace my old Forerunner610!

  90. Charly

I’d probably go with the new GoPro, because I’ve never had one before – been stalling for YEARS to get one!

  91. John Gavin

I’m thinking it would be a second Wahoo Kickr for my wife. I love mine and she should have one too!

  92. Harold

Replace my watch damage in my bike crash

  93. Alberto

I will go for the Garmin 735xt, there is no better reason to getting from runner to triathlete that a shiny 735!

Would get a Go Pro camera ?

  100. Dolf Denkens

Either a tacx neo or a p1 powermeter, depends on what I feel like when I win.
