Me and my son will join the runner’s training group for some run strength and technique training! And some intervals for good measure. Also, there will be cake.

Planning a long run on Saturday, and I’ll be at IRONMAN Austin 70.3 on Sunday (volunteering, I’ll leave the racing to people in better shape than me).

This weekends lineup is trying to qualify for IHSA State Cross Country on Saturday. Then a long run on Halloween.

16 miles in the Lake District round Helvellyn
if my calf isn’t too badly strained, I’m planning to get in a couple runs to push my monthly total over fifty.
Saturday will be a race prep run then Sunday will be the rock n roll Los Angeles half marathon.

My agenda is quite modest really, couple of hours of intervals on the indoor trainer on Saturday, then out hopefully for a nice long steady ride, 70-80 miles and a cafe stop for Sunday…

I wish I had something on the docket but I just got 7 stitches in my ankle due to a hockey skate so I will be laid up for about a week :(
