A May $600 Gadget Giveaway!

DSC_1263

This is the last giveaway.

I mean, the last giveaway until the annual Giveaway Extravaganza next month of course!  I’ll let you read all about what that madness was like last year, but for now, we’ve got to get down to business for this giveaway!

The winner will get a $600 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime.  By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on the vast majority of what they sell, or use their updated VIP program for anything else.  If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the new Garmin FR735XT (in stock!), to a Cycliq Fly12 camera/light, this crazy foot massager thingy (really) or heck, even a chunk towards SRAM eTAP or the new CycleOps Hammer Trainer.  Whatever floats your boat.

How to enter:

Simply leave a short description of what your training plans are for the weekend ahead.  For those in the US, it’s a long weekend – so substituting your BBQ’ing plans for training plans is acceptable.

The reason you need a short description of ‘what’ is that if you just put a simple one word answer (i.e.5k or hot dog), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters.  And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM.  This is a pulled pork kinda place.  Got all that?

Good luck!

The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, May 30th, 2016 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time.  Winner will be selected randomly.  One entry per person.  The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I’m heading into peak marathon training so I should be doing a 20-22 mile run at marathon pace, but I’m going to do an 18-20 mile trail run instead to stay in the shade. 90 degrees is too hot to be hitting the pavement!
10 mile run on the Monday holiday.

  44. Tim J

It’s a long weekend in the UK too (Bank Holiday on Monday), so I’ll be trying to squeeze in at least a couple of 100km rides.

  45. JDJ

This weekend I plan on starting off with a swim session early Saturday morning and hopefully go for a ride on Monday, which currently calls for t-storms, so I will watch how that looks (trainer is the backup if it gets nasty).

A nice hike on a portion of the AT up to Charlies Bunion!

  61. Chris

I’m going down to Newport, RI for the first time with my wife, so my training plan will consist of traipsing around mansions, and going on this thing they call the Cliff Walk. (Which I suspect will not be so cliff-y.)

  62. bobbi

I am hoping to run all 3 days, but at the very least, short run Saturday and long run Sunday. First party of the weekend is Sunday afternoon, so Monday’s run is optional :)

  63. Dave Nagel

Well, first oly tri of the year on Sunday. So yay for that. But really, due to location, I’ll be staying at my in laws which really means I’ll be spending the mental energy on the rubix cube that is having sex in a small house with thin walls where everyone is always home. Sorry if inappropriate for the blog. Just always feels like mission impossible over there…I feel like this crew would be sympathetic…

  64. Jon DeAngelis

Lots of bike riding to offset lots of BBQ’ing!
