The Love You Wanted: $600 Gadget Giveaway

IMG_2922

What’s that?  Your Valentine’s Day was a bust?  No worries, I’m here to try and cheer ya up.  It’s your opportunity to win something you’ll really love (which, may be in addition to someone else you love).

The winner will get a $600 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime.  By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on basically anything they sell.  If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the new Garmin Fenix3 HR to a GoPro Hero4 Black to a water bottle to the PowerTap G3 Hub Power Meter (all of which are under $600!), or heck, even towards a new trainer.  Whatever warms your heart.

How to enter:

Simply let me know what was on your training log for last weekend from a workout perspective.  Quick and easy!

Try to make it more than a few words (i.e. not just ‘10K’), so you’ll avoid the SPAM holding tank (I manually clear it out). And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of old SPAM.  Got all that?

Good luck!

The giveaway entry period will run through Saturday, February 20th, 2016 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time.  Winner will be selected randomly.  One entry per person.  The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

  5. Tommy

Strength training last weekend, planned to get a hiit run in also but wasn’t feeling up to par.

  6. I would have loved to have my workout log say that I was supposed to bike 60-miles and follow it with a 3-mile run on Saturday, and that my Sunday should have 8 miles on the docket. And it would be even more awesome if I could have done it.

Instead, my workout log said that I should do 2×10 of straight leg raises for forwards, right side, left side, and lying on my stomach. And then a bunch of heel slides and quad sets, then 2×10 of lying on my stomach and bending my right leg to 90 degrees.

ACL reconstruction recovery is no joke. But 2.5 weeks post-op and I walked 7 blocks today…so I won’t complain too much about wearing a leg brace and only being allowed to bend my knee to 90 degrees.

  7. Core training, otherwise 0.0-zip-nil-nada km… I have been taking 6 weeks off from running already to let a minor but rather stubborn chronic ankle/foot injury heal. Slowly getting better but not there yet… :-\

Temps were in the mid teens (F) so for me, the weekend was mostly willpower training! 2 outdoor runs, 1 mile on Saturday and 2.8 on Sunday. Yeah, it’s supposed to be long runs on the weekend but I don’t function well in the winter :-)

What was on my agenda was water walking after finally being cleared to exercise after surgery. What actually happened was a trip to the ER from a DVT that occurred as a result of the surgery. I would really appreciate winning the giveaway and changing my luck lately!

  69. Mark Donnelly

My training log has taken a nose dive as of late. Preparing exams to work in the public school system here in Madrid are taking up too much time. Still, I did manage a nice and easy long 18km run to shower my head from all the studying. Here’s hoping I can beat 1hr35min for the Alcalá de Henares half-marathon in March.

  70. Jeffrey Watts

Spent the entire week on short interval sessions on the trainee because of brutal Pennsylvania weather conditions.
