60kms today down Beach Road in sunny Melbourne, followed by the 210km Around the Bay event on Sunday. After a few months of winter gotta make the most out of summer/spring weather!
My “training” will be putting numbers on IM Kona participants then hitting several race locations to cheer them on, followed by a big party at the finish line. After that I think I’ll have some recovery workouts involving snorkeling and rubbing on sunscreen.

1 hour ride Sat am to loosen the the legs then road racing at 2pm then bbq. Sunday warm up ride 7am then crit at 8 and a cool down ride of an hour. All with my wife Ann who is my training and racing partner!

I’m riding 2000kms this month for the Great Cycle Challenge (raising money for kids cancer research) and as I had the last 2 days off with the flu I need to put in a couple of big rides this weekend to get back on track. Then on Sunday a longer, slightly slower 70-80miler with the local club!
