I’m still “recovering” from ironman 2 months ago which mostly means my training involves drinking beer, watching football and hanging with the family. I’ll probably get my ohm and my sweat on in some hot yoga though, cause that’s recoveryish.
Sadly, my training for this weekend consists of strengthening/rehab exercises to get me back out on the roads.

After being sick and not able to train four weeks in a row, I’m back on the bike on Saturday & to the pool on Sunday – so excited!
It’s Thanksgiving weekend in Canada and my wife’s birthday. Will take her out for a long bike ride together.

I will be getting up at the crack of dawn to brave the brisk October Autumn air. A few hill reps before meeting up with the guys to smash out an 80miler through the country lanes. A coffee and cake stop along the way and a sprint at the end for good measure. Of course, this is all in my head as I am still nursing a broken shoulder and pelvis after a crash!
A swim and run is on the docket for the weekend.
It’s going to be the Staten Island half Marathon for me this weekend :-)

My plans for this weekend would be NOT racing for the first weekend in a month and enjoying the beautiful fall colors on a mountain bike before a wedding. Sunday should involve a trail run with my best friend that I haven’t seen since my own wedding just over a year ago. Should be an awesome weekend!

While all my running friends run the Chicago Marathon (which denied lottery entry for me) this Sunday, I’ll be running 14 miles on the South Shore line of Lake Michigan instead to train for an marathon in January.
First time on a mountain bike in 5 years – going for a 40k ride today. Run of unknown distance sunday to prepare for canadian thanksgiving later that day!
This weekend will include one slow run, 6-8 miles, and following Kona results. tapering for my last race of the year – beach 2 battleship in a week.
