It’s definitely time for another giveaway. Given Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, it only seems right to show you some lovin’. But, it would seem sorta awkward to give you a present and not also give the person you love (or, at least kinda-sorta-like) a present as well. No?
Thus, I’ll be giving away two units as part of this giveaway – one for each of you. It’ll be like a couples giveaway, though you need not be a couple to enter or win. I’m sure everyone can find a loving friend that is worthy of a new GPS device (or similar). If you can’t think of such a person in your life, I’d suggest expanding your circle of friends.
Those who win will get two units valued up to $270US (each) from Clever Training. This could be currently shipping units like the Polar M400, or, upcoming units like the Garmin Vivoactive once it ships. As long as the value is under $270US per device you can pick whatever you want from Clever Training.
Here’s a few ideas to get ya thinking:
The Fitbit Surge GPS watch
TomTom Runner Cardio GPS watch (with optical HR sensor)
Garmin Vivoactive GPS smartwatch
Polar M400 GPS watch
Mio Fuse Activity Tracker with optical HR sensor
Suunto Ambit2 S GPS multisport watch
How to enter:
Leave a comment with: A description of your Valentine’s Day training or racing plans.
Simple as that! As usual, Clever Training is sponsoring the giveaway. Remember you can save 10% off anything they sell through either the coupon code or the DCR/CT VIP program, plus of course free US shipping for goods over $75US.
Thanks for reading!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, February 16th, 2015 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The product will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming in stock.

Go for a 40km MTB, because, nothing beats a good day of riding, bike riding that is…
Well my husband is currently out on his 28k run in preparation for his off-season training culmination, the Barcelona Marathon. I can only assume he is taking so long because today he is out there picking flowers for me while I wait for it to be my turn (small kids at home make “turns” inevitable, except I’m not preparing the marathon but upcoming duathlons), or possibly he’s not noticed he’s on km32 already because he is just running along dreaming of me?? Oh wait.. he does that every day anyway… :-D
Easy 15km run after a late night with Afghan Whigs concert yesterday.

As it’s a rainy day, pool swim is a good catch : couple 100m repeats, drills and kicks.

Happy Valentine’s day to all,
Nico & Ce
My training involves watching my man bring me breakfast in bed.
The wife will likely be doing 30mins on the treadmill. I will be corralling the kids. Hopefully sneak in an hour or two on the bike. Aside from riding to work, my free time to go o the long rides has quickly been dwindling as we increase the clan with number on the way ;)

Today I am running with my fast friend Lauren!
My boyfriend and I are planning to do a long trail run through the forest — I’m training for my first marathon, and this will be my first run over 15 miles. No better way to celebrate Valentine’s day, running is one of the things that brought us together, and I still credit it for keeping our relationship healthy and happy :)
I plan on having an early morning 5k run before we start our valentines day.
It’s -5 degrees F and snowing. So indoors for 30 min gym, 90 min bike trainer, 60 min run. Followed by 2 hours of shoveling snow!
I’m driving up to the Appalachian Trail to run before I head to brunch with my wife. Going to be very cold!
My workout of the day involves many revolutions of the crank on the pasta maker. Making dinner for the wife; trying to sneak a workout in on Valentine’s day may end in murder. Happy wife = Happy life!
Got day off in Alps. My legs hurt like hell.

A fitness test on the treadmill….then running around helping get ready for the school’s fundraising dinner-dance!
Intervals today, 8 x 600, good to see weather bit better.
Valentine’s day: struggling with my pair of groin pull. Roar! 12km easy run, on and off tightness and pain from both sides that got better after an hour of running. Sigh! Post-run foam rolling … it is time to rest but my mind was already planning for a trail run tomorrow!
40km bike in the morning then 5km run in the afternoon

I’m going out for a short run this morning, probably only 3-4 miles, but my husband has a 16 mile run planned for this morning.
I ran a mile in the Chicago airport, C to F terminal last night, in dress shoes and 75lbs of my life in tow. Made the connection in in about 12 minutes, just before they closed boarding. Getting home for Valentines was enough training for me.
Will have a long walk in town with my husband and little daughter!
Happy Valentine’s Day to all!!! We (our training group) kicks today off at 08:30 with 25 peeps doing 30 of interval training (running or cycling – it is minus 20 here so indoors it is) (1 min reg pace / 1 min full out / sporadic hills) followed by 1 hour of core strength and agility / stabilizer muscle training. We break to eat and then those of us participating in the stair challenge today will head to Mont-Royal to do the 256 stairs as many times as possible. And to celebrate Valentines Day and the love of friendship and community, we all gather for a pot luck dinner where we should be about 50! :) cool! Have a good one!
