My wife got a stress fracture on our Pinnacles hike in early January. Tomorrow is the first day she’ll be out of the boot and we’re hoping to do a short walk to celebrate.

I have been hurt ever since falling on the ice in early January. I have been trying to return for quite some time. I’ve been aqua jogging in the pool every day for 70 minutes, weight lifting, and slowly transitioning into a walk run program. I might try to do some rollers on the bike as well. I hope to go for a 12 minute run!
I’ve signed up for Ironman Canada this year so this Valentine’s I’ll wake up early to make some cupcakes, go for a 1:45 training ride, probably go on a leisurely ride with my better half, then finish the day making dinner.

Freakishly warm weather in the heart of ski country (Utah), so we’ll go for a bike ride and start putting down base conditioning for the season.
Sadly in injury-recovery mode, so VD training will consist of self-massage with a roller, stretching, eccentric strengthening exercises, a modified yoga workout and some core work. No running for me this week :(

after todays 3 hrs crosspas with 25 km running and 1 hrs hometrainer – I am looking forward to a light valentine training of 45 min easy hometraining and 20 min of coretraining before a nice familybrunch.
Sunday Will be higher intensity again with 75 min hilly run.
Almost ready for Thy Trail Marathon in 14 days
I will be on duty at the fire house, so I will be up at 0430 for my first workout on the bike prior to shift and if I am lucky, I’ll get some strength training in at the fire house. Sometimes the calls just don’t let it happen.
Was going to do a ski race for fun with my girlfriend, but it is going to be cold and the BIG, SEASON LONG A RACE, is next Saturday so we are going to take it easy instead and stay healthy for the American Birkebeiner the following weekend.

Our plans for Valentine’s Day: A hard interval workout to our favorite cycling DVD, packing for a planned departure from to WPB on Sunday morning (snow storm permitting), and out to dinner for a friend’s birthday. Oh, and did I say WINE? There will be some of that too.
(I should also add that my teenage daughter has been asking about a heart rate monitor for when she works out, so she may be entering the contest too!)

1 hour interval training on the bike trainer, 1 hour easy run, Noon soccer game for my 9 year old, 2 hour softball practice for my 11 year old.

Vday plans are similar to bday plans… to enjoy the perfect day, but in this case a perfect couples day. That includes hiking and trail run together, cooking a healthy dinner with nice music and a good wine, and then some night life.
Racebike +100k. Seems fine as it looks like a warm day tomorrow (up to 8°C).
A ten mile LSD for me on the lovely Valentine’s Day morning.
I’m meeting my running group tomorrow at 6 to do a long run in -20F windchill.
A 75min run at a 4:50min/km pace + 4x100m speeds, some skippings and a few situps/pushups etc. in the evening

Since it will be -20degF(!) tomorrow morning, I will be creating eye-cicles and beard-snow during a 4-mi snowshoe!

since I will be driving for about five hours on Saturday, I plan to take a long walk around the part of town where my mother lives. I need to get my ten to fifteen thousand steps a day.
Fat bike trail ride in this beautiful Buffalo weather. Windchills expected to be -15 degrees tomorrow! Mother Nature is really giving it to us this year.
12 Miles LSD with my bride of 30 years riding along and then begin the taper for a late Feb Half and March 25K trail.
