Valentines day will start with a little breakfast on the bed for my girlfriend, then to the dentist (grrrr) and later on some small interval running training because I’m recovering from a big Avalanche accident last year. Whoever reads this and like the slopes: be save and be well prepared if you go off piste!!
It’s Winter in Chicago and the artic blast is apon us: temps below 10 all weekend. So trainer efforts and lots of chocolate are on tap.

After many weeks of unseasonably mild winter weekends that encouraged cycling, it looks like Valentine’s Day is going to be spent shivering and maybe cuddling for warmth!

I’m planning an long run 14-16 miles whiles my gf will do a swim in the morning following in the early afternoon with a bike ride. She’s currently training fo Ironman Raleigh 70.3
Sailboarding all day!
A 2500 meter swim workout with the Mrs. in the AM and an easy 5 mile run in the PM. A little too cold and breezy to be on the bikes.
I won’t be doing any training on Valentine’s Day as we’ll be making our way to France for the first time! Nothing says romance like airplanes and long airport layovers! :)
As part of my marathon training, I have a 26km marathon pace run to put in. Tomorrow’s forecast high is -10C. My wife will prefer to go to the gym, but she does like like to go alone. So, after my run, we will go to the gym together and run on the treadmill together.
Once her run is in, we will come back home for a glass of orange juice and a special Valentine’s Day nap. I just hope I have some stamina left!

My girlfriend and I will be doing some cold-weather running in Pittsburgh.
I’m on for a 3 hour bike ride tomorrow and then it’s a surprise – running shoe shopping (the new Brooks colors!) and a nice short run with my wife. She just started running and I’ve been encouraging / coaching her. She’s maybe up to a mile and we’re working to 5k so we can do a run for our anniversary later this year.
P.S. Something like this would only help her motivation more!
Five miles on Saturday in training for the Gate River Run 15k in Jacksonville next month (solo, the hubby is a gym-rat, bless his hot little heart…)!

my training for this weekend is recouping fron yesterday’s reconstructive knee surgery for a ruptured quadriceps tendon.
I don’t love my husband just on V day. I love him all the time so nothing special will happen tomorrow. Or it could be if we won the prize :). Tomorrow we are going on run together as usual

my valentines consist of me doing Insanity then i will be doing 26 miles on the indoor Tacx trainer multiplayer – Wife will be at hand for sweet refreshments & filling the water bottle up !!! then ill treat her to some sunday lunch !!!

Tomorrow I gonna have a short run in the morning and some swimming in the evening.
A good relationship is a like bike ride . There will be days that will look like a 16% uphill. There will be days that will make life as joyful as a countryside century. Yes there will be those little “flats” that crop up that you will need to fix . But once you have crossed that uphill , fixed all the flats and you look back – it’s worth every single minute of your lifetime
Tomorrow , I will be taking the love of my life , my cervelo s1 on a long ride. She has stuck with me , I have with her. I couldn’t have asked for a better companion :)
