Just joined a tri club, so will be bundling up for a freezing group bike along Beach Drive in DC.

The Zuercher Silvesterlauf. Not to be confused with the Neujahrsmarathon, which would also be the Silvesterlauf if people in this country spoke proper German.

My plans involve becoming a runner because I have never been a runner. Going to the YMCA at lunch and running as far as I can in 60 minutes. And I am going to do this a few times a week until my first triathlon, a half Ironman in September.
Woodside 50k, in Woodside, CA.
A hard 30 min workout on a bike trainer in the basement.
Indoor tri in a couple of weeks: 10 min pool swim, 30 min spin bike and 20 min treadmill run, with 10 min transitions.
Bike alone racing in São Paulo (Brazil): 10km on dec 10, 13 km on dec 13, and so on until 25 km on dec 25 – Merry Christmas!!!

15K this Sunday
Couch to 5k training program. I’m on week week 7 day 2 right now. I started at 290lbs and I am down to 265 lbs now. It works, even for fat people! I did my first tri in October (a sprint) and have signed up for an Olympic in April. So after completing the C25K, I” be moving on to the couch to 10k program… I also did the MS150 in Houston (bike ride from Houston to Austin) last year and have signed up for that next year also… it is a great experience for anyone living in the area that has not done it.

We’re moving 5 days before Christmas. While a lot of my time has been spent training indoors lately, I can’t wait to establish new running and bike routes in new territory. (and Google already helped me start!) The weekend after Christmas I will be out come rain, shine, or snow!

5k road race on december 28th. not gonna be a pb though, course is very hilly (and i am out of shape).
Sufferfest – Angels. Trainer season is a necessary evil.
On the road to recovery: I broke each foot on separate occasions this year and was finally cleared to run again as of Nov 13. I’ve run every day since then, slowly increasing my base and prepping for marathon training starting in mid-January. No actual work-outs to speak of at this moment, but I am running every day; sometimes fast, sometimes slow, but mostly somewhere in between. I never shy away from a hill and I can’t hardly wait for actual speed work to start again soon.
