The Because It’s Almost St. Patrick’s Day…Giveaway

IMG_0260

While I was enjoying the umpteenth day straight of mind-bogglingly sunny weather here in the ‘City of Light’, it occurred to my that St. Patrick’s day is Monday.  Despite the French fondness for any reason to take the day off, it is not considered a national holiday here.  Not that it would matter anyway, I get to spend some 12-14 hours on a plane bouncing across the ocean.

So for no other reason than it’s (almost) St. Patrick’s day, and sorta-spring like (lucky charms and all), it’s time for a giveaway.

5km race on Satuday, 22km slow run on Sunday.

It sound great but it was a dismal failure. It rained monsoon rains on Saturday morning (I am in West Africa), and I started 1h30 late on Sunday straight into a 30c heat with 80% humidity. Needless to say the run was laborious and I eventually gave up at 10km for no other reason than it was boring and my headphones had been stolen the previous weekend. I walked all the way back as I wanted to punish myself. I am now rather tanned, about the only positive this weekend.
