Despite the French fondness for any reason to take the day off, it is not considered a national holiday here. Not that it would matter anyway, I get to spend some 12-14 hours on a plane bouncing across the ocean.
So for no other reason than it’s (almost) St. Patrick’s day, and sorta-spring like (lucky charms and all), it’s time for a giveaway.

Rowing, and too much of it. Saturday’s a double session on the water: 18k UT2 morning, 8 x 500m afternoon. Sunday’s a morning group ride, and an afternoon “sprint” erg (the lack of detail on the training plan has me nervous).

Sat: 30min swim (splash) with daughter, then 1.5km swim without!
Sun: 2 hr bike ride
start in Parkrun on 5km distance. And right after long run about 20km in marathon pace :-)
My weekend workout plan is crazy simple, because I’m tapering for the Modesto Marathon. It’s just 7 miles, at marathon pace on Saturday, and rest on Sunday. Chuck in a couple of short runs during the week, and I’ll be ready to hit the start line!

I am just recovering from a knee injury, so I’m taking it slow. I am going for a long walk this weekend in the sunny California weather. Possibly even doing some pool workouts if the temp is still in the 70s and 80’s this weekend. Oh, and the stationary bike in between!
