Have some fun in the travel section.
I travel a fair bit, both for work and for fun. Here’s a bunch of random trip reports and daily trip-logs that I’ve put together and posted. I’ve sorted it all by world geography, in an attempt to make it easy to figure out where I’ve been.
My Photography Gear: The Cameras/Drones/Action Cams I Use Daily
The most common question I receive outside of the “what’s the best GPS watch for me” variant, are photography-esq based. So in efforts to combat the amount of emails I need to sort through on a daily basis, I’ve complied this “My Photography Gear” post for your curious minds (including drones & action cams!)! It’s a nice break from the day-to-day sports-tech talk, and I hope you get something out of it!
The Swim/Bike/Run Gear I Use List
Many readers stumble into my website in search of information on the latest and greatest sports tech products. So here is the most up to date list of products I like and fit the bill for me and my training needs best! DC Rainmaker 2023 swim, bike, run, and general gear list. I worked 12 hours on Saturday, bummer. Hiked in the Sunol Regional Wildness for 2.5 hours with my wife on Sunday, awesome. Went for a 5k run in the rain on Monday, surprisingly fun. Oh, and enjoyed two different BBQ’S and the subsequent leftovers, triple awesome.
Hoping to win the 610. Thanks for your reviews and posts. I enjoy them very much.
in the market for a HRM/GPS. Would love to win this and see how it compares to other comparable products

Greetings from behind the Redwood curtain, it started raining as soon as I lit the BBQ.
Another great giveaway from the best sports technology blog on the inter-web
Took off a couple of days this past weekend…
Grilled some chicken like a boss.
Hmm – well, the weekend started at Wolf Trap, where I got soaked in a thunderstorm (and watching the lightning was exciting/scary). Saturday was spent taking my 3-year old nephew and 6 year old niece to the Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum (or as they like to call it, the “dinosaur museum”). Sunday ran 7 miles in the heat. Monday biked 25 miles in the heat. Sadly, no BBQs for me.
Spent the weekend hiking around Tokyo before getting the bullet train to Kyoto and used your tips on eating well while flying!
Love the blog. Keep up the good work!
I spent my weekend working, and away from work I did some hiking/geocaching. Now can’t wait for next weekend as I’ll be doing the same.
Belated first 5k of the year. Impact a Hero benefiting wounded soldiers. Ran it last year – excellent race.
hoping to be trying out my new 610!!
I wish I could say different, but I have no plans.
Did some serious talking about our preparation for the ING Miami Marathon during our monthly ‘breakfast club’ and how the Garmin Forerunner 610 definitely would help to finish the marathon in 4 or less hours. By the way, I like all your reviews. Cheers!
Love the free stuff…..even BBQ

Celebrating our 20th anniversary!! Woot! Woot! Two days away, two rides without kids!
Buying power ball tickets which has significantly less chance of winning than this contest
Plans here are to work up as much stamina and shed some lbs before the end of the year. 20lbs is the goal.
I just came back from Maui, Hawaii from an amazing 2 weeks of vacations during which I did the longest bike climb in my life, a 10 000 feet climb to the top of Haleakala!

Spending time with the family at flagler beach and training with my garmin 405. Marathon training :)
I ran my first ever double digit run with my husband over the memorial day weekend. We went to the coast and ran 5 miles to a light house and back. What a wonderful weekend we had.
Swimming, biking and riding of course!
Just found the blog, and the contest, a little past the 3 day holiday, but I’ll tell you what I did anyways. I spent most of the holiday at work and with my family, especially my Grandfather who was a WWII Army Ranger (landed at Point Du Hoc on D-Day). Overall, not much running done except a 6 mile tempo run on Saturday evening. This upcoming weekend, on Sunday, I will be running in the Navy 10 nautical mile race in Millington, TN.
Overall, great blog. Thanks for all the work you’ve put into it.
Great work on the blog! Your reviews are always insightful!
I spent Saturday preparing my first bbq. 10.5 pound Boston butt and 4 racks of baby back ribs. Started smoking at 5 am & let them go all day. Then I helped my girlfriend move into a new place for the entirety of Monday to work off all the extra calories.
Fingers crossed
