Garmin Forerunner 610 May Giveaway

In celebration of summer BBQ season nearly being upon us, it’s time for a giveaway (or BBQ sauce)!  Given how hard to get the new Garmin Forerunner 610 GPS-enabled touch screen watch is, I figure it’s only appropriate that I give one away.  It was either that or giving away a case of BBQ sauce…and I’m pretty sure I know which one you’d prefer.

And the best thing is you’ve got nothing more to do than leave a single comment below (multiple comments don’t count around these parts!).

IMG_0442

All you’ve gotta do down below is tell me how you plan to spend the upcoming three day weekend (for those in the US), for those in Canada, you can go with this past weekend.  And for those folks everywhere else in the world…we’ll just go with your plans for the weekend ahead.  Most importantly of course, is if a BBQ is involved…details are needed!

The entry period will run until Tuesday May 31st, 2011 at 11:59PM Eastern Time, at which point I’ll close the entry period and randomly select a winner.  Like the all my giveaways there are no restrictions on where the goods go to – so no matter where in the world you are, I’ll send to you.  The winner will get a brand new Garmin Forerunner FR610 (with HR strap).  It’ll be sent out Wednesday morning and you should have it a day or so later – or roughly ‘4-6 weeks’ ahead of everyone else waiting for their orders to get fulfilled.

(Note: If you’re active duty military and deployed and are unable to complete the entry method above, simply shoot me an e-mail and I’ll get ya entered in.  For those curious on how the giveaways work, here’s the deets.  In short – I purchase and giveaway everything here, these are not sponsored by Garmin.  Through careful planning I picked up a handful of them when they first came available…just so I could give them away to you.  Thanks all!)

  1. Please include in the giveway. Mahalo!

  2. I generally object to the way most people overuse the term “BBQ.” BBQ means many hours of slow cooking over low heat such that meat stays incredibly moist and tender. Usually what people mean when they say “BBQ” is “grill out,” e.g. burgers, etc. on the grill.
That said, I’ll be doing the latter this weekend and playing a lot of beach volleyball. With a race coming up the following Saturday I should theoretically be tapering, so I’ll give that a try even though it just isn’t in my nature!

  3. My 3-day weekend ends my transition period (always need a break after a big race) and officially starts IM LOU training. Saturday – road race (I love tri’s, but battling it out on just a bike is fun too). Sunday and Monday – 2 big bricks, 80 miles on the bike each day, then 6 and 8 on the run.

  4. nice run in the country on Saturday, lunch (maybe BBQ on the Sunday) with long bike ride on the Monday, providing the weather holds!
Nice giveaway, and keep up the great posts

  5. Bob

Count me in! 5K on Saturday, picnic on Monday!

  6. I plan to train for an upcoming century bike ride.

  7. Workout, and go down to my cousin’s and fire off the cannon (yes a real cannon) and bbq.

  8. A busy weekend of cycling on Saturday, running on Sunday and lots of DIY!!!

  9. BD

I’m staying in town for the weekend so I’ll start the weekend off with a good swim workout at the pool and then I’m meeting up with a friend to eat and drink like Germans at Biergarten Haus. I plan to bike there but will likely need to metro home. Saturday involves sleeping in, hitting the farmer’s market then getting in a long run. I might go pick strawberries with a friend if the weather is nice. Sunday I have a long bike ride planned in Culpeper; hope to do 60 miles! Sunday night will be for relaxing with friends and grilling out. On Monday I’m helping a friend do some gardening/yard work and then we plan to hit the mall for some holiday shopping!

  10. Hoping the rain stays away so I can get in a good bike ride, run and OWS. Plus time to eat lots of grilled foods.

  11. Planning on grilling something on Monday with friends after a long run. then maybe a group ride

Get into trouble with the 4 1/2 year old, ride some trail, watch a Bulls ball game, and house repairs. Toss in some grills veggies on the grill and you have a receipe for an awesome weekend.

  14. Saturday and Sunday heading up north to visit my parents and do some work on my car. Monday most likely going to hit Brat Fest here in Madison, WI.

  91. Hi from Norway

  92. I understand that everyone sees memorial day as a time to get out of school, be off for a federal holiday and I understand that. I however will be spending it in memoriam to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice by visiting the graves of our honored heroes in Normandy and taking a nice long run through the town. I hope everyone has an enjoyable holiday weekend but let us not forget why we have this time and who it truly belongs to.
