The Swim/Bike/Run Gear I Use List
Many readers stumble into my website in search of information on the latest and greatest sports tech products. So here is the most up to date list of products I like and fit the bill for me and my training needs best! DC Rainmaker 2023 swim, bike, run, and general gear list. Man you pack a lot in on your weekends. I love outdoor swimming too. It is the best.
Wow you did alot in one weekend… how do you do it? I love your blog… reminds me of what it was like being so close to DC :)
FOGO!!
AND I LUV the botanical gardens…but if i’m thinking of the same place i didn’t know there was an inside. who knew?
Looking forward to the Fogo recap and lots of pictures. Though do me one favor. Don’t post it BEFORE lunch!
FOGO!!! Super YUM!!!
Looks like the Navy lost out on the both of us. I got cut in the last part of the selection process to go to Annapolis because of my asthma. If they only knew what they lost out on. We could both be on the front of Inside Triathlon with Andy Baldwin, HA!
I am super scared to know if those bikes made it to their destination in one piece. It looks like that one bike is going to fall out the bottom. And then to have the plastic lawn chair strapped to the heap. Yikes!
The 20/15 meter board that all pleebes are required to jump off of in order to graduate.
That same Coast Guard ship was just here.
You are putting in some great training, you are going to rock IM.
What a great weekend with your folks! Looks like you had a chance to “relax” and be a tourist in DC. I fondly remember such weekends with my parents from my days in St. Louis. Has it really been 18 years?
Look forward to your Fogo review and the upcoming July training writeups!
very smooth move with the two-pool maneuver. where is that pool again?
and that’s a SWEET pool at the naval academy.
i also love the botanical gardens, which is luckily overlooked by most tourists.
what a good son! you forgot photos of the food though. :)
The pool is the Old Town Alexandria pool – outlined here: link to alexandriava.gov
I generally swim there Saturday’s around mid-day. If anyone wants to join me, simply shoot me an e-mail.
the careful movers….yeah..i get it…..
Nice exposition on what to do around DC on the weekend.
Some great ideas here and in your comment. I’ve been to DC before… but not since I was in 2nd grade (and had the flu), so this should be quite different. Thanks!
PS You mentioned Old Town Alexandria… I think that’s where we’re staying.
I definitely prefer outdoor swimming too!
The photo of careful movers – that’s a riot! Somehow, I wonder!
